0:00 Introduction and Rule or Ruin

But can I proposition you?

Okay, I'll give you a chance to re-word that.

If you'd like, I had to go next door and say

five numbers to my Monzer account.

You said 000, 000, thank

you for confirming your balance.

Brand new, DFS large

double-ended chaise-long sofa.

I'll spare you one.

No, no,

I bought pickle crisps off eBay.

Welcome back to the Cream podcast,

the Cars Rule Everything Around Me podcast

with myself, Will, Edwin to my right and Benjamin Rogers.

Hello.

At the beginning of every single podcast,

we ask ourselves if cars have ruled or ruined

our lives this week.

Edwin, would you like to talk us off?

Bro gave us a pause.

I was thinking about Ben, but I think there's

too much of an affair.

He gave us time to think.

Right, so this podcast is, I don't know,

will the Lupo video be out.

I think not.

Basically it will.

Right.

It's a bad start to the podcast.

I'm sorry, if you're a new viewer,

it doesn't carry on like this,

brackets, it does.

For me, this week, it's a ruin because I was

so excited this week.

Our little Volkswagen Lupo, things were

looking up for it.

I'm not going to say too much in case the

video isn't out yet, but things were going

great and we had a day booked in with Peter

Trander of TRS, owner of the Nurburgring.

of tuning itself, the creator of tuning.

And we were all

excited.

Little day at TRS, love going to visit Peter.

We

even put the deck chairs in the back of the L,

ready.

Because we're like, we're going to get a

little catch a couple of rays while Peter's

up there on the old keyboard.

And yet, this bastard little Volkswagen Lupo

just said, "We're restoring me,

are you?

After half of it in kilometers?"

Yes, suck yourself.

So we, I've been upset all day that we're not

upset that we're here.

As you can see behind us, the Audi R6 is,

is well underway being worked on.

There are scary things on it.

But yeah, I was, I was on such an upwards

mood and I was very annoyed.

I was, I got a message last night.

I wasn't here yesterday and I just got a

message saying, hold, hold up soldier.

We may have to stand down tomorrow.

I was like, nah, surely not.

But these guys didn't explain to me what was going on.

It was like, nah, it's a big L.

No, it's awful.

No, it's dead, it's dying.

I was like, well, engine's gone.

Engine's gone on the Lupo.

But no, thank you.

It would also be better if it was that,

but it's just annoying.

Yeah, we don't know what's wrong still.

So overall, ruin for me.

It will have been.

Now, we're getting a little bit behind

because we have to podcast ahead a little bit.

But shed fest for us is in a few days.

It will have been for you.

Hopefully, I wasn't food poisoning this time.

And we saw some of you guys will do a catch

up next week when, when, when it has been.

But ruin for now.

But with a prospect to rule Ben.

Hi, speak.

Yes, I speak.

I'm in.

I'm in rule.

Okay.

It's only actually been like two days since I

last podcast.

And that's not true.

It was on Monday.

It's not fried Thursday.

Three days.

Okay, fine.

But so not much actually happened with,

with any of us, I don't think.

I sold my wheels.

Well, I'm sorry.

I was going

3:15 Ben's S2000 Replacement Wheels

to say not much happened.

You've made a decision fully now.

I spoke about this on the last book.

But he said it feels more solid.

You said like, I'm going to do it.

Oh, it's happening.

No, it's happening.

I'm going to do it.

Yeah.

It should actually actually listen to this

beef or say it or hopefully sold.

And what is it?

It's my S2000.

Yeah.

is going.

So I took the original wheels home last night.

Just for fun.

Just trying to drive you.

Tuck them up at home.

Yeah.

No, I took them to take the RPF ones off and

I've sold those to William.

I have bought them.

And Will has bought them.

Again, I've bought them on the rest of 2000.

So it turns out, McGanns have a five by one

14 PCD, which is exactly the same as what was

Japanese cars.

You're an

inch down on me as per.

Yep.

And you've compared.

But for track wheels, they're very nice.

Also quite lightweight.

The wheels I have a nice, but also it's nice

timing because I've curved my wheels,

which means they need to reverb what one does anyway.

And I matched the look of them.

I'm getting a little bit bored of it anyway.

So now I'm thinking some all white arpeggios.

I'm not saying your crack wheels.

I love the protruding of you.

I also say, I love my girlfriend very dearly,

but I had drive the clear yesterday.

When she came back to her credit,

she opened the door and said,

I'm sorry, I have to admit something.

And I knew immediately.

I went out and looked.

perfect 360 degree absolute munched wheel.

Like real bad, but really upsetting.

I wasn't freshly refurbished.

Brand new refurb 16-inch shows,

that's very upsetting.

Tough one.

But we forgive and we forget and I won't forget.

So you'll forgive?

Yeah, I'll forgive.

I won't forget.

Is this an official for sale ad for the S2000?

It will already be for sale.

Again, we will say people, if it has or

hasn't happened, it still doesn't mean people

can message you saying, I'll give you a

handshandy and I won't get those skills.

You would take that though.

You would take handshandy, but just not for them.

Just keep the skills.

I just probably just take some money for it.

But as always, please, we're Creamers.

We're not from any other podcast.

Let's not be clowns.

Creamers aren't clowns.

No messaging people with no intent to buy a car.

Unsolicited tire kicking in the DMs is not nice.

If you want to buy it though,

it's got some nice bits on it.

The wheels don't come with it because I'm

trying to literally what we talked about a

few weeks ago.

The wheels do not come with the car.

No, exactly.

You're going to put pictures up of it.

Yeah.

Apps looking show car spec.

We'll need it.

And go doesn't come with the wheels,

doesn't come with the intake,

doesn't come with the coils,

doesn't come with this.

I will take photos of it as it will

be for sale.

Good man.

You're a better man.

So I need to whack

the new.

Oh, let's go.

I'm just learning English for this time.

So I'm going to whack the RPF ones off it.

Lovely.

I'm going to whack them off it.

Oh, yeah.

Wheels back on.

Sure.

And then I will take photos of it and clean

it and it'll be nice.

Very nice.

But I mean, a lot quicker.

I need.

I'll bring the Monday.

No, I need, I can need, I just need that.

Okay.

That's like, I will bring it on Monday.

Okay.

So it sounds like interest is starting to accrue.

Okay.

That's fine.

Well, you got a lovely deal,

Will.

So every day you don't bring them,

the price goes down by 10 pounds.

There you go.

It doesn't.

Oh, because I

6:24 Discussion on Selling Cars with Mods

won't just bring, I won't.

I'm not agreeing to that deal.

Yeah, it's not.

So do that because you guys tell me about

mods and selling cars and a lot of people

believe that if you put 4,000 pounds of mods

on your car, it's worth 4,000 pounds more.

It is not.

No.

It's worth about the same.

That car is worth basically the same wither

without the RPF ones.

You might be able to convince them a little

bit more, but not what they're worth off the car.

Great lengths.

We discussed last week what you'd like to

move on to.

Yes.

Have you had any thoughts?

Let's keep, we'll keep it brief.

But what are your thoughts?

How has your mind turned?

I'm not there yet.

You don't care.

I know what.

I wouldn't do it to you like this.

I wouldn't.

me.

I'm an R.

What?

I'm going to go away.

Girl, that's great.

We'll be happy.

I'm going to go away, have a think,

and then I'll come back with some answers.

I don't want to give you fake answers.

So what's the TT feeling to you?

The TT feels good.

You like that.

The DC 5 Integra?

DC 5 Integra, do you know what?

Oh, I'm not feeling it.

So there has been a development.

I want to go away from Hondas for a bit.

OK.

I don't know.

I think you need a switch up.

You need something new.

I would like something with a more interesting engine.

Meanwhile, the man who's just come from a

9000 RPM for a cylinder.

Sorry.

It's classic Rich Fennie.

I'm looking for a hand-built V12.

I think I'm going with the Pagani on this one.

I know.

I just look into Gordon Murray and I love the

project he's putting on there.

I mean, I want to go for something that has a

bit more of an interesting layout noise

because I've only ever had--

A bigger engine with a throaty growl.

Exactly.

I've only ever had straight inline 4s and inline 6s.

That's what I've had.

So I'd like something maybe a V6,

maybe a VR6.

Maybe a V6 is your noise, right?

I could fill you with a V8.

But my problem for you with a V8 is that I

think any good V8 is going to be a little bit

spendy to run and maintain.

And you have a thing in your hair.

And many people do.

I've had it in the past where when you have a

car like that, you get worried about it.

It'll be like, if it blows up,

which it probably won't.

We've all the best, you'll all go in.

Trust me.

We're talking to a pro here.

But can I proposition you?

Okay.

I'll give you a chance to reword that if you'd like.

So you're going to proposition me and also

you can feel me on V8.

Can I propose something to you?

I like that a lot more.

I've been thinking about you.

Why do you speak in this way?

I've been thinking about you.

And I think I know you so well.

And I think we both do.

And everything we've ever said about you has

come pretty true.

And most of the time, ahead of schedule as well.

I'd say we're pretty clever on top of this

sort of stuff.

I'll give you six months or a year to do something.

And you've got it nailed on.

Ben goes three months.

Ben has a little calendar where he goes,

"I certainly need to do this by then."

All right.

And then they'll be right there.

These

guys look at generic options of things human

beings could do as a choice.

And they go, "I fought of this."

No, you're

not true.

I can have a poo tomorrow.

No, no, no.

I go for a poo.

And they go, "Oh, classic Ben,

sorry."

Well, you know you suck.

The S2000, did I not say it?

Did I not say it?

And you said, that car is my cream car.

Oh, it's one of the best 2000 ever since I

was a faecan.

And Ben, is it a rule or a ruin on my life?

But I said, do you want me to sell it?

Come

summer-sized this.

No, no, because you're met.

So over the winter, when I wasn't really

enjoying it, because I was dealing it,

you made that comment.

But you can't then go like, "Oh,

I predicted it."

If someone's not enjoying something,

if I go to a house party and I look really

unhappy and I'm like, "Oh, sorry,

no."

And you go, "He's going to leave at some point."

No, I leave.

No, because that would be true.

You didn't go, "No, actually not,

I'm loving this."

And then it happened.

But you can still tell.

But you can still tell.

No, you said, "No, I do like this car.

I'm not going to be selling it."

You'd make the worst bookmakers ever.

Your betting shop would be appalling.

So it would make a bet.

Right.

Costa Rica will win the World Cup.

And then all of a sudden, they get to the

semi-final and you go, "No, the odds have changed."

No, I don't care that you thought about it.

I'm closing down.

I'm closing down.

You can't.

Just because there's been a change.

Oh, you think, "Oh, I'm having a poo tomorrow."

authentic.

Anyway, would you like to have my little

stupid, boring thing?

I think you will sell this 2000.

Oh, wow.

I

10:38 Predictions and Prophecies about Ben's Car Choices

know.

Shocking.

And then you won't buy a car this calendar year.

This financial year or calendar year?

Calendar.

Let's keep it calendar.

Let's keep it with the calendar.

So not all of us, a big billy there,

Ben.

We're not all lucky on Q1, Q2,

like you are.

Let's keep it to Christmas.

Okay, Christmas.

End of the year.

You won't buy another fund.

Car.

Okay.

How do you feel about that?

I think you're chatting out of your handles.

I think I've got grounds for one.

Now, hold on, because off the podcast,

when Will said something similar,

you went, yeah, that's actually,

that's completely possible.

No, I said, I don't know.

No, I intend to buy on this year,

but there are other things that must happen first.

What did you say?

I intend for you to die, Mr.

Mars.

If he said, no, no, no, I'm not going to do that.

Well, I'll do that.

Of course, of course I'm not going to do that.

And then he said, yeah, but like,

if it gets to like October, like,

why would I buy a car then?

That is what I said.

Here's what I said.

That's true.

What I said was, my reasoning for that was I

said, okay, so

annoyingly, and this is kind of thing I

should quite pissed off about,

is that I have, I'm not saying the car now,

at

the time where now I can enjoy it.

Yeah, no, no.

So what will happen is I will now not have a

car a few months.

Just like through summer.

Yeah, and when it gets cold again,

I'll buy a car and then it will sit.

So if I get as old to where I haven't bought

one yet, then I'll probably buy one at some

point over the winter and then do bits to it.

I'll ask you something.

If you want, who's forcing you to do that?

Because you can choose not to.

You're saying it like you're like,

for gonna have to sell my car in summer and

buy one in winter.

You don't need to do that.

I don't want the car anymore.

I want to say that.

But you could buy something else in the

interim and then sell that in the winter to

buy the thing you want.

Isn't that exciting?

I could do that.

You'll have money and you'll have that money

and it'll be burning whole in your trousers

and you will go, I have options now.

You'll leave.

They will have leverage on the hunt for a new car.

Leave eyes blown smooth off.

I will buy a car to share.

Why

not?

Let me ask you this.

I might buy a little Clio in the

interim.

This is what I'm doing.

Just a little grand or two.

It doesn't need to be bent.

You don't need to chuck money into it.

Just, you know, you play with the bull lies,

perhaps.

You just enjoy it for a month or two and then

off he goes to the next person and you buy

your bigger thing.

But we have a trip.

Should we just be like the trip?

We can.

Okay, we have a trip in the summer at some point.

We do, it's a little company.

Retreat, would you call it?

It's very different to what most company

treats would be, which is like a spa day and

maybe some wellness retreat.

Yeah, what are we doing?

I was going to the Nürburgring.

Off camera as like a team building,

let's call it.

Sure, why not?

And Rory today asked, he said,

"All right, so who's bringing what car?"

and I had to say to him, "No,

I'm bringing nothing."

But, I will say something, even if you had

the S2000, you told us something that you

would not drive the S2000 on the Nürburgring.

He said, "If it was rainy, shut up."

If it was rainy, I said, "The manipulator returns."

The strings, I can feel

them.

I said, "If it was rainy, I probably wouldn't."

I

said, "If it was dry, I might do a gentle lap."

I'm not

going to go for it.

I'll crash it.

The two people who'd probably enjoy it the most.

We had a trip where we went up north,

stayed in the nice house, and it was lots of

us, and it was a track day booked.

Will and I go in, Ben.

No, Will's mum's Fiesta.

No, that's nice.

I couldn't take that on a track,

because I don't think she'd be very pleased

about it, but it was my only mode of transport.

We were just there watching.

Also, there was a lovely drive to the track as well.

Oh, that's a beautiful b-roll car.

My MX-5, I was in the middle of turboing it.

I'm me, so I didn't have it done in time.

Okay, so I will probably feel left out.

You will feel left out.

I've had it before.

You will feel left out.

I've had it before.

I had it when I would never forget this.

Actually, it was when we went to the

Nurburgring with the 911.

Yep.

First trip we did with everyone,

and we probably went over crew,

how many?

We were 15 people?

Yeah, it was all the gear came in.

'Cause it was all the gear came in.

'Cause it was us three, we had all the gear,

so those two guys, all the Alex guys,

and like crew and stuff.

So a lot of people there, and everyone

arrived to the unit where we met in the

morning in their cool cars.

It's not so cool, whatever.

Then we did the whole trip, came back.

Everyone was like, "Ah, we had a fun week away."

And everyone was like, "Joe view and laughing."

Everyone walked away, got in their fun cars,

and individually everyone drove off.

A little pull in the distance you could hear,

exhaust.

I got my 8th, my 1.6th, look at the A3.

I'm looking at him thinking,

"I feel so left out right now."

He did a 959, just a herring.

Yeah, I was just like, "Yeah,

I'm the thing that's so left out."

So there is, so get thinking on something

cheap and small.

You don't have to marry, you're not marrying.

This is just having a fun time on the weekends.

It's just an experience.

It's just an experience.

Oh, that little twingo, one,

three, three.

I love that.

Because I quite like to get something that's

really small.

I think you'd find it.

Not too slow, but I think after coming out of

a 182 and having owned that,

I think not that you'd be disappointed.

Why didn't I just buy another 182?

Yes, that.

It has a zestier engine and what such.

It's a similar chassis, so.

It's a there, it's a Mark II chassis.

I will go back to 182, a 197 I really quite like.

I think that's feasible, I think we can find you one.

It's itching me.

Oh, interesting.

You need to itch it.

That's the one.

I'm itching for it.

Round the bush, but then, Rule or Ruin?

Yes, it's a rule, 'cause I sold the wheels to Will.

Okay, lovely.

It's a simple one for him this way.

(all laughing)

Big moves in the Benjamin household.

I would also go with the rule.

She bought some new wheels.

You have lost money.

New wheels, fantastic.

Can we get an update for the gang on the

mercy log over there?

Yeah, sure.

You're all waiting, mercy log over there,

I'm hoping still exists

16:24 Mercy Log Update and Future Plans

somewhere.

So it's been weeks now at this stage.

I'm almost certain that to come the next

podcast, it will be here, or in the vicinity,

whatever, in micro-straight stories.

But what's happened since that last podcast?

So I've paid.

You've done your bet.

I've done my bet and there's lots of finance

stuff that had to be sorted out.

The percentage of which is quite rough.

Yeah, no, it's not.

To be like, it's paid.

It was a, it's still a lot of money.

Yeah.

Yeah, seeing that leave was a...

(Carol laughs)

Obviously, we went completely silent for a bit.

Yeah.

There's a challenge here, then we all slept

and went right, so I paid for it.

I had to go next door.

And say five numbers to my Monzer account.

(Carol laughs)

And see that they go, "Are you sure?"

You said, "Zero, zero, zero,

zero."

They went, "Thank you for confirming your balance."

(Carol laughs)

But I've done my bit now, so there's a couple

of other bits that the car needs to have a

track fitted, and then there'll be like final

documents that I'm gonna sign,

which is hopefully tomorrow,

and then I'm hoping that I don't think

anything will happen over the weekend,

but that next week, 'cause we are Thursday

currently, then it can be delivered.

(Carol whistles)

I'm very excited.

Watching this will might have owned the car

for a week.

Possibly.

Potentially, possibly.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I'm hoping it.

I mean, there's still things to do on it.

I need to see the car.

I just don't need to see the car like,

but I've seen it like at the auction,

but I need to see it in person and just get

the lay of the land.

I've bought number plates for it,

'cause I don't even, I don't think it comes

on number plates.

It didn't have number plates on at the auction.

Yep.

So number plates I've bought tires.

I bought tires today.

Tires not pleasant on a mercy logo at all.

There are two tires available for mercy logos.

That's good.

And they're left and right-sided and there's

not really any other options.

And it was 1,700 pounds for a set.

And they don't even match front to back.

Those are Parelli P-Zero.

That's Ben's, that's Ben's summer car.

Yeah, I was, it was up.

Why are you flexing on me?

Yeah, trust me, those tires,

they're lasting.

Or I make it their last.

Will's gonna hear a chirp and go,

"No, it's not back."

I'm gonna be moisturizing them at night and

I'd say, "Yeah, you'll never crash."

(laughing) I definitely need a couple other

bits, but I'll wait until it gets here.

And then I'm speaking to some people about some exhausts.

Oh hell yeah, this is gonna be good.

Even though it sounds good, it needs,

it's same as the Godo, they need an X-pipe to

make that like proper mercy logo V12 noise

that everyone kind of knows.

You might say, "X, gonna give it to you."

And that's what I need, I need those X.

Do you wanna, do you wanna mention what you

said to me there, what about wheels?

Right.

People keep asking me about wheels,

'cause no one likes those like Teddy Dial

original split rooms.

I love them.

They need a refurb, I will do,

and I will probably leave them on there,

'cause I think once they've got the proper

like tires on, they will look really,

really good.

Yeah.

And they're OEM coilovers, so you can change

height as well.

But I quite like the idea of going for a set

of the old Chinese E88s.

Hey man, I'm doing the same thing.

I'm speaking to China as we speak.

As we speak.

We're in the negotiations folks.

Yeah, again, so some of you will think that's

a really bad idea, but there are actually

some really good wheels you can buy from

China, like custom offsets, all that,

you know, sorts of stuff.

I already did it with the CL that I couldn't

fit, but they were unbelievable quality for

not a huge amount of money.

No, if you did the same thing here,

someone would probably charge you 5,

10 grand.

If you go, I want some customer,

like Mercy Lago Fitment, or else they're

gonna go, "Von, we'll see you coming."

It's 20 grand or something, but whereas you

could probably do it for like a grand.

Yeah, which firm?

It does take four months.

It takes a while, but custom wheels probably

take a little time anyways.

Yeah, exactly.

There are people here that do it as well,

but the price is cheaper.

Before I get on to any of that stuff,

I wanna make sure it's right,

'cause I would like to use it this summer.

That would be good.

I'd use it this summer, that'd be great,

'cause I felt a bit left out with Arthur,

Food and Fuel, I was like preparing with the

Gallardo, and then Matt sold,

Matt wasn't there.

I need some experiences, I need to get the joy level.

So for Shedfest, you'll bring the merch Lager?

Yeah, of course, no, it won't make that.

No.

It won't make that.

Well, it will have been, people will know if

it's there or not.

So yeah, rule, overall rule,

especially just, I can't not be a rule with

the merch Lager, it doesn't really matter

what it is.

Is it a small room, because you now,

every car you see, I can't have this now.

Yeah, everything is sort of,

it's now like, many months away,

or years, or decades away.

So I would quite like, well,

I have just bought a daily.

But I would, eventually down the line,

I'd like to buy something a little bit more fun.

Always looking.

And I was looking at R6C7, so four later,

twin turbo, just the angriest looking thing.

That's so cool.

When they're on the road.

But lots of them are just black,

gray, silver, and just boring colors.

And they'll kind of look the same,

they'll kind of modify the same.

But there's one on Facebook,

I think I saw it, in Robino Red,

which is an exclusive,

Yeah.

And Robino Red with, I think it's Ibis White

Interior, I was like, "That's cool."

And I was getting ahead of myself,

I was like, "I can't buy this,

'cause I have to spend 1,800 pound of tires,

of course."

'Cause I think it was around about 19 grand or something.

R6 is still gonna come down and they're very

expensive to run.

But I thought, sod it.

I'm running a car vertical check on it.

This episode, again, is sponsored by the guys

at Car Vertical, so a big thank you to them.

I ran a check on this R6 and,

ooh, ooh, ooh.

God, normally a car that's in a really nice

spec like that.

It's not a huge amount of miles.

I think it was around about 100,000,

but they would normally be quite,

quite expensive.

But this car was relatively cheap considering the spec.

And when I got the Car Vertical up,

there were like four instances of damage.

There was so much wrong with it.

It was possibly worth still saying,

but for me, I can't be dealing with that at the moment.

So the Car Vertical Check absolutely saved me.

'Cause if you've read the description,

all look great.

Car Vertical for sponsoring us and the podcast.

If you know

22:02 Car Vertical Check and Buying Advice

you're gonna be buying multiple cars this

year, you can bundle checks together and get

up to 50% off.

And you can use our code at this account,

cream, to get 20% off your next check.

So shout out to Car Vertical,

see you in the next one.

Shall we do an ecode?

Let's do it.

Let's do it.

So we've got, is that a three?

No, you ruined.

I'm ruined.

Unfortunately.

Bloody hell.

Starting off Edwin with Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Is that a new movie that's coming out?

It's a brand new one.

Ben, have you ever seen it?

Never seen it.

Never seen it.

You're a weak link.

I haven't seen it.

You, I hate you, but--

It's got Matthew McConaughey in it.

Not Trevor.

Does it?

That's the one.

Matthew Broderick.

This is my favorite movie of all time.

I used to watch, as a child,

I used to watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

On like a weekend, you can tell a wasted childhood.

I'd watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off,

and then I'd watch Too Fasty Furious straight after.

And then if I had time, I'd go back and watch

Ferris Bueller's Day Off again.

Okay.

As you do.

How many times did you think you've seen it?

Oh, hundreds, hundreds and hundreds.

Wow.

I've seen it.

Because it had a Ferrari in it,

and I was a child.

And the movie is a Ferrari 250 GT California

short wheelbase.

It's a replica in there.

I was watching it, 'cause I was watching it

again as I watched it maybe every few weeks.

And I thought for a second, when did this

movie come out?

The movie came out in 1986.

The car featured in the film,

a 250 GT California short wheelbase,

is a 1961, they say it.

Right.

That was 25 years old when that movie came out.

So it's equivalent to a...

2001 Ferrari 550 Maranello.

Wow.

So at the time, that was like this ultra

rare, ridiculous car.

It's the equivalent of us looking at 550 Maranello.

At the time, the car was worth around a real

one, $300,000.

That's now a $20 million car.

That's wild to think that at the time,

it was a 25 year old car.

And now, that would be our equivalent,

or a 360, as the equivalent.

Yeah, it's insane.

But I just, a random thought came across

where I was like, no, surely 550s out there,

you better not do that.

'Cause people would have been looking at that

completely differently then,

as to what it is now, whereas now you're

like, oh, you're rocking around in a 20

million pound car, you're like,

no, it's not expensive, but it's not that expensive.

But my question is, what car 25 years from

now do you think will end up being like that?

Something that gets something new now.

Something in 25 years you're gonna watch back

an old movie and go, oh, they just have that

in the background, like it didn't matter like it did.

Does it need to be in a movie,

or can it theoretically?

No, it could be anything.

It could be a 26 car, or more.

Yeah, whatever you want.

Or near enough.

It's tough because they're making absolute

washing machines these days.

Yes.

I still think lots of the supercars will be

in sort of mad engines.

I mean, I've entered all things like GMAs and

stuff or two.

They're too obvious.

It's got to be something that is expensive,

but not ultra silly money.

What's the kind of loss of its kind that still exists?

I think SVJ, I was gonna say the same.

Because it's, we go, SVJ, there's loads of them around.

I have this feeling that it's gonna keep

going from Revuelto.

It's gonna keep going downhill.

And it's a Revuelto, it's cool.

Also, it's a limited, I don't know how,

but they are limited numbers.

Is it 500 each?

I thought SVJ was more limited.

Maybe

just every single person that owns them makes

Instagram videos.

It's like those Aston Martin's Agato things.

They're just everywhere because you see

everyone posting about them.

A total of 1,700 units, that is Google AI,

the first thing I come up with.

Could be wrong.

SVJ, SVJ, Super Valochi, Yota or Jota,

how do you want to say it?

And what is SV?

That is a limited round of 900 coupes and 800 roasters.

I'm pretty sure SV, I want to say it's 500 and 500.

Yeah, that's what I think.

I've just typed in SVJ-L, I didn't mean that.

Aventador SV is 600 coupé versions,

500 roasters,

1100 total.

So there's more--

So there's still--

They're not a hugely rare car,

but in the grand scheme of things they are,

especially when you think how many of them

have probably been matched.

Ben, is it a convertible SVJ?

Yes.

Or a coupé.

Okay, great.

Thanks, I'm glad we got that done.

I must hear the noise.

And we discussed this, didn't we?

Our length, that's a supercar driver.

We did.

About the fact that, now William,

you're not a convertible man at it.

No, but I can, but I can accept that if it

was built because the shape of it is,

it's not like, if you look at a Gallardo

Spider, for example, so it's not like all

supercars or sports cars, I don't like a

Gallardo Spider because they have that,

they get that long ass afterwards.

They don't maintain the shape.

If you look at a Merci Lago,

and a Ventador, or I'm sure the Revuelto will

have it as well, that side profile is roughly the same.

Up and down.

And if anything, it gets even better because

you have this little, especially when you put

the doors up, you have this weird thin piece

of floor, it's like, how's that thing held together?

I like that.

But when it removes the entire roof line,

not fan.

So for me, it's, that's what I'm after.

That's what I'm after.

Very good.

For noise, it's got to be.

Heard.

It's got to be, I would have a convertible,

normal, then store as well.

Okay.

I just want noise.

'Cause they're later, they're later.

The original was just coupe 14.

Which is the same as a, same as a Masi Lago.

You couldn't get in a vert.

But LP 700 still though.

Yeah, there were 700s, but they didn't come

in the two.

No.

Right at the beginning.

Oh, right, yeah, yeah, yeah.

'Cause they still set that original pre-face

of shape though, you can still get up.

'Cause I love that, sorry, I love that,

that split window at the rear for the engine cover.

I like that.

That's cool.

Yes.

Oh, because that's one of the things we did.

I like the rear of a Masi Lago Roadster a lot.

The standard coupe has the like louvered

flat, like louvers.

Then the roadster has that much more like

complicated looking thing, 'cause it fits

nicely with the buttresses.

Also, they have the roadster has that

lattice, that carbon lattice in the engine bay.

Yeah.

That's cool.

That's really cool.

Straight up, that's cool.

The worst, best thing.

I can't think of what an event door looks

like with the roof on.

I'm sure it's better, but a Masi Lago with the roof.

A Masi Lago Roadster, that one we saw,

Lord.

You can't put that thing on in public.

It looks like someone's just having a towel

over your,

It's not opening.

It is a really bad hat.

It's me wearing a hat, basically.

Yeah.

No, Ben, have I ever shown you a 550 Barchetta?

You know what that is?

I know.

I'll pull a photo up, we'll put a photo on

screen as well.

There's a 550 Barchetta.

Absolutely amazing.

A limited run, convertible version of the 550.

Yeah.

The, oh God, I've even pulled up a photo,

it's tough.

They actually cut the windscreen down.

It's slower than a normal 550,

but they came with a hard top.

Are you ready for what I'm gonna show you?

No.

Sorry, what is in that color,

the McDonald's logo?

Yeah, it is a horrific hard top that bolts

on, that has this, it has a glass kind of

partition between it that rises up,

but in the most dastardly way.

If you're an audio listener,

if there's one thing you go and do after

this, go and look up a 550 Barchetta with a hard top.

Absolutely disgusting.

My brain can't see it as one thing,

I can only see the car with that on top of

it, I can't see it as one object with line.

There's no lines, it just stops.

They just said, "Make plonk it on."

It's so Italian.

It puts so much design work into making it

look good with the roof down.

They get to the end and go, "Ah,

I don't know what."

Because everyone's like, "No,

no one wants to put the roof on."

No, I think sometimes people might want to

put the roof up.

So it has no folding roof.

No, it's not like a super American.

They do know exactly.

They did a thing, it's people refer to them

in MX-5 circles as a bikini top,

which is a kind of piece of fabric,

like a Porsche Boxster Spider,

where it just stretches over to the buttress

to cover it, in case you have a little downpour.

But the car is not meant to have a roof.

It's supposed to be like a spider where it's always down.

The roof is gone.

It's gone.

It's just truly gone.

Yeah.

Which I like.

You know what?

I like when companies do that,

when they just go, "Yo, full vert."

Yeah.

This isn't a convertible.

Yeah.

This ain't got no roof.

Yeah.

How about this?

Compromise.

Yeah, this.

We've ruined this car.

Meanwhile, people will it with money.

All right.

Okay.

I'll bet you more for that.

I'll take that on a sunny day.

Fantastic.

Okay.

Cool.

Where did we start on that?

That was on Ferris Speeders Day off.

Dang.

I was talking about which car.

Yes.

I agree with you on SV.

SVRSVJ, I think, again, because it's like

30:21 Future Classic Car Predictions

top level thing.

Top bins.

Get a little nervous plate on SVJ.

That's a plate you have on the Ferrari in the movie.

I don't think there's any 20,

26.

This car, that will do, I don't know,

probably some of the Ferraris.

Like a limited run Ferraris.

I think the ability for a car to go unnoticed

is gone, if that makes sense.

Like for a 250 California to fly under the

radar for 10 years at 200k and then go,

"Oh, that's a 10 million pound car now."

I think there's too many people prospecting.

Too many people going, "Oh, one day,

that's gonna be worth it.

"It's gonna be incredible."

So the price is just stay high.

There's probably some gems out there.

There's definitely mines.

Yeah, there we go.

But I always think about it what to do with

the F40, where there was that golden era of

you could go and buy them for £8.60.

But because of that F40's rise,

it will never happen again.

No.

Every special edition Ferrari that comes out

now never has that drop.

Nobody wants to get left behind again.

So they assure themselves that they're not by

overpaying for the thing now.

Yeah.

'Cause obviously even something like an Enzo

is mad money, but they would have had a point

where it was like they're below a million

pounds or something and then they fly.

But I don't know if things that come out now

don't ever seem to have that.

Maybe it just needs more time.

Maybe it needs another 10, 15 years where

they get harder to maintain or whatever.

I would like, I found something we did a few weeks ago.

There is a site on the internet called

Wayback Machine where it has captured a page

on the internet at a certain date and then it

will go back and capture that over the years.

So you can go in there, you can type a URL in

and then it will show you what that page

might have looked at in August 2010.

And then August 2015, there's loads of

different series of them.

We went on there and it looked on,

usually car ads don't stay on there.

So if you go on eBay or also a trader,

you can't find it.

But what was cached was Car and Classic.

So when I started looking back at Mercilago

prices, it's some tough ones.

There's like 70 grand Mercilago's on there.

Really?

Back to like 2015 odd, but I would like.

That'd be nice.

So some creamers, if they have any spare

time, it's very interesting,

if you're a nerd like me.

Go one way back machine, go on to Car and

Classic and see what you can find that's

really upsetting.

'Cause there'll be some things that upset you.

Even like the Japanese cars,

the amount of times if you look at some like

Skylines, Imprezas, Evo, Supra,

as it gets.

I mean, obviously, think of inflation as well.

There is inflation that kind of does add a

fair bit over like 10, 15, 20 years,

but it's not enough to account for how some

of them are.

We saw there was a Diablo SV for 65 grand.

Yes.

That's

like a 400 grand car if it's a nice one now.

Oh yeah, if not more.

It's not considerably more.

It's a tough one.

What's a car that you know is worth bread now?

A Porsche 959.

Okay, 959 around about the year 2015.

So how would that be that point?

That would be that were late 80s.

I think 89 is when they came out.

So maybe 15, 20 years.

A little wild.

That's a rough one in here.

In stock, a 959 comfort, 675,000 pounds.

Last time I think we saw one,

so it was 2.3 mil.

There was one that just, it went unsold,

but it did get bid up.

It was a caniper creation one for 2.3 mil.

So that's a rough one.

That's a rough day if you sold your 959 on

current classic for 670K.

Tough focus RS is always a tough one.

That's a quick one.

Focus RS's were 10 a penny basically.

No one, not no one wanted them,

but they were at that stage where just no one

was buying, people were gonna buy a new one

or there was other stuff people were buying

four, five, six grand.

Yeah, what you would you like on that?

Would you like around about a 2015?

Would you like about then?

Yeah, exactly.

That would have been roughly when I started driving.

I would have been driving through a year or so.

Oh, that's tough.

No, that's really tough for me.

I've just read Ford Sierra Sapphire RS

Cosworth, one of our favorite cars.

edition and low mileage, £8,000.

So what with inflation, I don't know,

that might be not far off double that,

but you're not playing double that again to get one.

This is an Escort RS 2000.

Will?

That's the Super Rare Mark II as well.

For sale, this is again, Super low mileage,

£15,000.

This last page, Sierra RS Cosworth.

It's not an RS 500, but it is £18,000.

A three-door.

A three-door RS.

That's Sierra RS.

You hate to see that.

It's just not nice to see.

It's not nice.

I mean, at 2015, I was probably earning

absolutely zero money, but I should have been

on something better.

I should have been getting my money up.

I should have been investing.

I should have been in their early doors.

Age 17, I should have been there right.

Right, I think the 959, that's going to 2.3 mil.

So I think if we can get a consortium

together, we'll pull some money.

Me and the other 17-year-olds will pull

together the Fredo money we've got.

Ben, you would have been, what,

12?

In what year?

2015.

13.

So you could have been...

I intended to.

I just never got out of time.

No, that's rough.

No, that's really rough.

That is a voxel Lotus Carlton.

This is 2015 for 16,995 pounds.

I don't want to play this game anymore.

I'm done with this.

So please, Creamers, feel free to have a look

through, go through the different years,

see what highlights you can find,

and we'll come back to this next week.

But I don't want to read that.

There's another one for 20.

Oh.

Because in theory, it's quite simple.

It's the car that you go with the cars that

people wanted to own.

So is it things like golf holes in one foot

of your eyes?

Is it stuff like that where you go?

Because they get whittled down by rusting

away, or being crashed, or being stolen,

or just being scrapped for whatever else.

But then when people get to the 30s,

40s, they can start to afford things.

That's when they go, you know what?

I always wanted an M140i, or a Mark III focus on it.

So Mark II, whatever it is.

And then they can afford them,

which is why the prices start to really rise.

But then when you're in the moment,

if you say that to me now, you go,

M140 can be future classic.

I go, there's way too many bills.

There's four on the street next door.

There's, no, of course not.

There's too many.

People are probably saying that about

Colton's and about Escort Cosworths,

where they go, no, it's not Ferrari,

it's not worth collecting this.

But then over time, it does.

Off the top of your head, you know how many

Tuscans were made?

There were two eyes.

I think it's 1,500.

Is he the 1,500?

Oh, it's 1,000.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

It was for a while.

And how many are those of Charlix?

Well, there's a lot of dead ones.

When I called the insurance company,

they said we do not like ensuring these

because so many of them get written off.

Christ.

I think that's hardly a big money car.

It feels like that car.

That's one.

I don't know.

Maybe it's because now we've been in the

presence of it because now Edwin owns it and

we've sort of filmed that other one that it

feels like that the recipe's there.

Yeah.

It's got like a mad engine that was,

it's not borrowed from something else.

It was created by TVR.

The bodywork is crazy.

Most of the specs are crazy.

It sounds unlike anything else.

It feels like a car that in,

even in like 10 years, people look at and go,

how the hell did we not get onto those at that price?

Like they'll be 100 grand, 200 grand plus.

I think that's a big money car.

Now, would you say it's America?

All right.

first I considered it, but that's,

you know what?

I don't like, I like being able to use cars.

It's the same thing with E46 M3.

When I beat the piss out of it,

I take care of it, but I beat the piss out of it.

And I like when people go, no,

you should be saving that as a very record.

No, it's a car that's meant to be used.

If it happens, same thing with the Mercilago.

If it happens to go up in value,

cool, great.

In case I ever need to get out of it.

And I will have to sell the Tuscan.

Like something that I think is also something

we haven't ever talked about before is like,

all of our money for everything is in our cars.

Like none of us own homes.

We still rent in order to buy a house one day

and have a family and all that sort of stuff.

We're going to have to make sacrifices.

And they will come in form of selling cars.

So I'm fully prepared for the Tuscan or the

M3 or something to sell to go for it.

In that case, it probably would be going to

America because they tend to make more money there.

But I would be a little bit sad for it to go

there and not get used.

If someone in the UK was willing to pay

market price, not city price one day for the

car and they were going to use it,

cool, I'd rather that because the original

owner, you have to continue in his footsteps.

That car cannot go and sit in a garage.

That's not what it's about.

But in the meantime, I'm going to do donuts in it.

You'd hope at that mileage though,

even if it went to America or it would go to

someone who sometimes you think this one

costs a little bit less than a 20,000 mile car.

But I can go out there and also seeing that

car in the US.

I can picture it at Monterey Car Week.

No, I would really love to send it out there

to drive it around.

We did, we saw a Tuscan on UK place.

There was a Tuscan on UK place.

And a golf place.

Believe when we talked about TVR in America,

there was a gentleman that got in contact

with us about it.

That is who that was.

What about if you bring the most lago on the

TVR in America?

Crazy.

I would love that.

You could just use Blake Sandberg's car,

though.

But you could get your car in Blake

Sandberg's car together.

Dude!

Blake knows about the most lago now as well.

We had a little message the other day.

He

said he sent me a very lovely message,

which was

nice.

Every movie, I'm gonna say it.

I think a Sargeras is really cool,

but a Tuscan looks more special.

I agree.

If you put the two necks each other and you

said to someone which of these is the more

limited run, the more expensive,

the more crazy car, I think a lot of people

who didn't know would say the Tuscan.

I think it's just the way a Sargeras,

although there's mad aspects of it with the

rear wing and the exhausts, but it does still

look like other sports cars.

The Tuscan looks like nothing.

is

the

I'd had the sordry for a few years and was

heartbroken to the podcast, maybe smile,

madness that it's gone so viral.

You're right, I am pretty sure it was the air filter.

I had the new fuel pipes recently.

I've just put another deposit,

I've just put a deposit on another Tuscan today.

My mad frying pan and into the fire.

So that's literally no question about it when

I need another one.

I want to know, Steve, if you're listening,

tell spec.

Yeah, he's supposed to do something.

I have seen, he's posted a photo in his

garage of one under a cover.

Hasn't revealed spec yet.

Okay.

What it is yet.

Because he had a good color before.

He's got to go for something.

I'm wondering if it might be a Mark II,

which is the later on, the more sort after one.

But I'm interested.

Yeah.

But that's cool to see him get back into another car.

Shout out Steve.

See another one die.

Also, that means your value is flying now.

Up it goes.

Up in flames.

He's like, "Oh, you know how I might sell a fire."

That means they're getting rarer now.

Also, proper TVR owner named Steve,

Steve and my Tuscan.

I'm not, you know what?

That's why they don't want me in the forum.

Yeah.

Edwin.

Not a TVR name.

They went through the list of names from

Steve, Dave, Keith, nice.

Kevin, start TV.

What?

Steve, start a car company called S-T-E.

S-T-V.

S-T-V.

Steve.

Next up, we have Ben.

We want some news from you.

I hope you have come prepared.

Oh, I have.

That's unfortunate.

Yeah, no, don't mind that.

New polo rackets.

We've lost him, boys.

Yes, the new polo was announced.

I'm going to be real with you.

I saw it.

I was unhappy.

And then I clicked off.

So we're going to fart together.

I thought you were going to tell me that the

polo was dead.

No, it's alive, but should it have just died?

Should it have died?

Because polo is a massive now.

Guess what?

So hold on.

Am I clicking on?

I haven't done any research on the ID polo.

Is it electric?

Oh, no, it's not electric, honey.

From what I've read, I believe,

so I could be wrong.

That's a tough one.

That's not ID three.

Do you know what?

I don't mind the design on it.

That looks OK.

Yeah.

I think that's kind of cool.

I love it when my mustache becomes as my eyes.

So it looks like what it actually looks like

is a Mach seven golf kind of vibes to it.

But with a futuristic Tron face,

like an iRobot style face is what I

have in my head.

It's got this sort of Cheshire Cat grin

across its face.

It does.

But it light up the Volkswagen badge,

which I'm assuming that is, don't stop this.

Stop

this trend.

If that's what that is, stop it.

It's light up

badges and they do it at the back now as well.

I want the badge to, because you know how

they sometimes incorporate the brake light

into the badge.

I want the high beam to be on the Volkswagen

badge, so I just get a seared Volkswagen

badge into my eyes.

Like branding or something.

Volkswagen Martin doing laps,

right?

Yes, you're like looking at all you serious

Volkswagen badges.

Someone rolls it, it shines off into the bat signal.

Fed them back.

They need me.

But it's, we lost him.

It's interesting.

The back looks a bit, I can't see it,

but from here it looks a bit.

information for me, Ben.

Okay.

Yes.

Okay.

Okay.

So this is the electric polo.

Right.

They basically it's going to be the Marco.

Am I right?

Glitz carriol.

I don't know that reference.

And that's basically what?

You don't know Marco Polo.

Oh, I've always said I've never met a guy.

He gave me one of the most basic references

on Earth and went never heard of it anyway.

Let's carry on.

Can't find him.

The 24th 25 grand.

Apparently, that's the one that they're

marking

it on.

It's cheap.

Okay.

Is that the cheapest electric car?

I don't.

No.

Okay.

Ben, so you're so anti-EV.

It's just sad.

Okay.

No, I don't.

I'm going to say this.

Not to sound like our influencer spoof

things, but polos are cars of the people.

Can you pronounce it properly,

please?

Oh, sorry.

They're just cars of the people.

Like they're there.

They're really an A to B car.

They're there to move people from one place to another.

And if you need to get to see,

that certainly can.

You know, it's in the name, the folks wagging

and there'll be a little round up there and

it'll go, the

46:17 Ben's Thoughts on New Polo Announcement

new polo is much like the last,

but isn't that what's here for?

But not to get into that, but that's,

look, if there's any brand that's kind of

fine just going for, look, we just make what people want.

So I don't really might, like Ben,

are there any polos?

Even the GTIs, do you look at a polo GTI and

go, oh, I

really want one of those?

You're not, Nick, very quick on

track when you do the older ones.

I don't like polos, but this is what I mean,

but they're for people to just drive.

But the reason I don't like them is because

I've been around too many of them.

Everyone has one.

Wow.

All right.

Ben, what do you call it?

I'm just making a slap.

No.

Ben's a hype beast.

That's the one I'm looking at.

No, it's not that, it's the one I'm looking at.

No, it's not that, it's the one I'm looking at.

It doesn't like what other people have this.

This is fine.

If that was a little like three cylinder in

there, okay, cool looking thing.

And the interior as well.

But here's what I'm going to ask you.

What does the previous gen with the petrol have?

Do they have a three cylinder?

Yeah.

Do you know that?

Yeah.

You know that for sure.

Yes.

Are you sure?

Absolutely.

And they make 62 horsepower.

But this is my point.

You have no clue.

That's bullshit.

There you go.

But you have no clue because you don't care

because it doesn't matter.

It's not electric while we're losing them big

boys to electric because they probably looked

at the sales numbers and went,

well, this is probably going to make a

difference to us if we make the select.

But they're everywhere.

Yeah, but they probably can't get away from

them, but they'll be everywhere electric.

This is the thing.

They won't be.

I think they will.

I will never see one of those ever.

What about the one on the screen?

Yeah, he's turning around to Volkswagen listening in.

So we should have got that guy in for the analysis.

to count.

So supposedly the cheapest cars.

This is in 2026, the cheapest EVs on sale right now.

Number one is a sit from an army.

I'm not going to count that.

No car.

That is seven and a half grand.

The Thatcher Spring, which I actually hear to

put on my review pants.

I hear a lot of good things about the Thatcher Spring.

And I, you know what?

I don't, I don't mind them.

They don't.

They're not offensive to look at.

They are to me.

Are they?

I drive past this one on the way.

Like, like I'm here, there's one on the way.

And as in, you always part, it's always parked off.

It's dead.

I assume that someone lives there and owns it.

But it's outside someone's house on the way

on my route to work.

And I look at it and it just looks funny.

Cause it's so, it's, it's, they're just diddy.

It's just, I think what I find funny about it

is like a K-car, right?

Is sort of just skinnier and quite tall

still, but it's kind of like car size.

This is just a small car.

It's like a remote control car.

It's a downsized car.

But I don't mind those.

That is, that, those are 16,000 pounds.

I'd love to see you drive around.

What I don't like about this stuff,

right?

I know it's a new car.

So if you're getting a brand new car as your

first car, like you're, you're,

you're, you're all right.

Yeah.

But the older these get, these will become

first cars and then people's first cars will

become electric cars.

That's crazy.

Yeah.

And I don't, I don't like that.

So it's, it's okay now.

I'm going, that doesn't matter.

Doesn't matter who's, but in the long run,

it's the youth that will feel it.

Join noise me as well.

Well, you're blasting around and I'll mess you along.

Your first kids are going, well,

I've got the Ami or, or I've got the leap motor.

I don't, I don't, I'm not like,

that's, nah, you're getting a mark on escort.

I don't like MST at a mark on escort.

That's 80 grand.

Okay, I have to read.

Yeah, we're going to turn into those people.

We go, what's, what's a Mark III RS these days?

Five grand, six grand?

I, sorry, I was going to say,

I, I've forgotten.

Okay, no, that's fine.

Wait, it's time.

Number three, cheapest is the leap motor,

T03, the car that we talked about before,

the soulless box machine.

But it's the one that I was behind.

The leap, the leap strong is what we're calling it.

But going all the way up to number eight,

cheapest, 21,000 pounds is the Renault 5.

Oh, really?

That, how much did you say that was,

Ben?

25, 25, 26.

I, I'm going Renault 5 all day over that.

Oh, 100%.

So I bet there's room in the back of that,

though.

I don't know if that might be,

that might be true.

But a Renault 5 looks, looks and outs.

This annoys me, because what,

okay, it's, it's a, as far as,

as far as I'm aware, that is now just a polo,

but they're only electric.

Right.

So why are you calling it an ID polo?

It's a polo.

Because they're both talking about things

now, right, that anything electric needs to

have an idea.

Make it a polo, it's just a new polo,

it happens to be electric.

Don't make it a point that it's electric.

Yeah, no, I, I, because that was always the

thing when electric

cars first came in, they were called eye

bingles, or e-bingles,

or Debbie bingles, probably not Debbie bingles.

She's back,

but, but why do that?

Why can't you just go to a car?

Well, there is, and I, I just happened to

scroll down, we'll put a photo on the screen

for audio listeners.

I think Smith and Sniff talk about this,

and that the grime Punto was out,

but didn't realize that it was an electric one.

I, I really like this.

This is on a put photo up here.

That's kind of cool.

It's, but why does it look like a panda?

But, wait, it is a panda.

But why do they call it a punto?

Why have they done that?

I've just looked at that.

Wait, what?

No, no, no.

Sorry, sorry, sorry.

I'm the clown.

Okay.

I am put the red nose on.

Ben gave us the sauce.

These Fiat pandas on the tour,

they are just a box, Italian box.

And somehow even the early 2000s one are

endearing somehow.

Like if I see an early, a mid 2000s panda,

I don't go- The 100 horsepower shape.

You can even, even a normal one of those,

I go, oh, kind of cool.

I'm seeing a little panda around.

The new ones I don't, Japanese people,

is that what you're going for?

Oh, as you can see, it'll be funny to see a panda.

Okay, cool, yeah.

And just hanging around there.

But that's kind of cute.

I don't mind that looking for an electric car.

It has that, like, the dimples.

on the side and stuff.

I quite like that.

That's all electric.

That's all electric.

The design is quite, that's quite interesting.

Imagine that load on some wheels.

See, I'm about it.

The arches are cool.

I've kind of raised up a little bit.

Go like four by four.

Yeah.

I've rock around in that.

Just not that anything up or down.

Supposedly a 200 mile range and 21,000 pounds brand new.

Wow.

So it's going to be more than that and less than that.

Amazing.

Or less than that and less than that.

Less than less range, more money probably.

It's on steelies.

You know, steep, steelies.

That's cool.

I don't think many people, I bet there's an

option to not have steelies and people are

going, "We want not steelies."

But I want, they should have caps as well with it.

But isn't it funny how it's stuff like that,

especially even among London influencers,

that posh stuff is nice and like green over

tan is the thing.

But then when you bring something like a

panda, they're like, "No, it should be the

base model with the steelie wheels and it

should be the tiny one."

There's this weird thing where it flips from

being about the nicest one you can get to

like the most rugged, utilitarian.

Everyone goes, "Oh God, I've got to say fantastic.

Why am I a defender?

It's like a mini version of my defender."

People always say that about those cars and

then, "All right, live with one."

You deal with it.

Live

with the four speed car with 40 horsepower.

Let's see how

you deal with the M4 for a few weeks.

I'd like a panda.

Animal car.

A car.

Okay, cool.

What panda?

Like a 2001 or

whatever?

I like them.

Yeah.

Assistly, four by four, I think is something

we should build on the channel at some point.

If I had to go like, you know,

if things, I don't want to say things went

wrong, but in terms of like,

if I had to sell my current cars and like,

had to have just one car run around,

banganomics is the phrase I'm going for.

Am I going for a panda?

Would you go for like a hundred horsepower or?

So you don't know, the hundred horsepower was

a hot hatch version of the mid 2000s panda

that they made.

Very cool.

I still think my car- Oh, James may.

Yeah, I would.

I like it.

I just, I'm not saying I'm going to do that,

but if I had to just be like,

you know what, I need, I need to,

I need to make, make things cheap for myself.

I need to go and get myself a little run around.

I might do that.

There's a lovely little Instagram wheel in that one.

Oh, God.

Just having a panda and a 9,

9, 7, 9, 11 going,

what's the difference between these two cars?

These?

Well,

both of them were owned by James May.

Or what's exit stage left?

What's the difference between these two cars?

But, but how would you pronounce it?

What, either of them?

Well, what have I just put a 9,

9, 7, 8?

What is the difference between these cars?

Part of 9, 11, 9, 9, 7.2, and the Fiat Panda.

That's expertly done.

Yeah, that was very nice.

The pronunciation was very good on most.

I like those Fiat pandas as well.

I think a cool panda coming in sometime.

Should we all buy them?

How much is 140?

Do you know what?

We'll let a little secret.

When we were doing our 500 pound off-roader

series, I, because I bought you the Renault,

the Rover Street-wise, I was looking looking

desperately for a panda 4x4,

not the old one, but the mid-2000s one,

and I just couldn't find one in the budget.

It was just that.

They rust.

They rust really fast.

Because I think I might be in a group for

what we were looking at at some point,

and it's quite sad.

Because not many of them are like car people,

car people.

No, they all really, really love their panda.

Yeah.

But lots of them just let them die.

They just go, "Oh my, there are multiple posts."

It's like, "Oh, my panda failed at semi-T

today, so it's off to the scrap yard."

Yeah, it's reset.

It can't be that happy that it gets to this point.

I know it's just matched.

All of them, you find that with it,

especially those more utilitarian cars.

People always have most ridiculous stories.

It's like, "Oh, it's so sad because me and a

little Derek, we've driven to Spain and then

to Morocco and then across to Moscow and now we're back."

I lived in Sao Paulo with this one.

Why do you all have these ridiculous stories?

But you can't spend 200 quid for an MOT.

Well, that is dead.

Good.

Goodbye.

Derek, what we got next?

So new polo.

Not, you know, L generated some discussion.

Big tangent.

We're not that, we're not like sighted by it.

Ben, and this is another piece of,

I don't know if this is news.

You've put in here in this hand for sale.

Yes.

Have you been paid to say this or?

There are in this hands for sale.

So now, so Ben.

I have been, I was volunteering a few podcast

ago to be the TC Reddit monitor.

Right.

So I occasionally Reddit moderator.

Not all your rates are, I'm not doing that.

Big neck beard, Ben.

No, I'm going to go in there.

As little as possible, I'll go and I'll,

I'll have a little look because there are

some funny stuff at that.

And there's two things from this today we're

going to talk about.

Sure.

They're all there.

First one is, is, it's a Nissan for sale.

Okay.

I don't know who put it in there,

but I saw it and then we laugh a lot.

Now we also, I just want to say quickly,

I know a lot of you are annoyed by how much

stuff we put on the screen.

We'll do some more, we'll try and do some

more explanations for you and we'll do some

actual overlays.

Will, I'd like you to describe this car advert.

Is it coming on the screen?

It's, I fuck it.

I think he go will.

Oh, what's going on now?

Can we get an

update?

It's an ultimate for sale.

It was very cheap.

It was $96.

Very cheap.

Cordoba Cordoba, I don't know where

this is, but there is a nice picture.

First picture is side

of the picture of the car, second picture,

nice three quarter angle.

Third picture is two men hugging on a sofa

with no clothes on.

No clothes.

No, Ben, you're telling me you blurred their faces.

The faces were there.

I was like, we're going to shut the podcast.

Let's be respectful.

So I went and photoshopped and I blurred their faces.

But not the car's number plate or where it is.

So shout out, Ben, you know,

doxing these.

No, I didn't.

It's not my screen shot.

No, no, no, no, no, it wasn't me.

But that is a, that's to find out that you've done that.

Look, you might have, you know,

there might be a horrible photo on your

phone, but to see that you've put it out to

thousands of people.

All sides, but marketplace.

Just check the advert, man.

How quickly are you going to have to get the

car listed this minute?

Just spam next, next, next, next.

Off it goes.

No, no, even check once it's up.

Once it's gone off, once it's approved it.

I'll leave it.

Or is it another classic, you know,

it's like a, you know, gets clicks done.

Gets the people talking, gets people,

gets people on my advert, gets all the right

people talking about this guy.

That's a tough one.

That is a rough one.

That is tough.

Yeah.

So Nissan sell not so great,

but you've also put in here Ben,

cream on the PSP, which I'm hoping what we're

thinking about that.

Why I'm hoping it's what I'm like.

You sent me a photo, am I opening this?

Yeah, open that though.

And I'm safe to open that.

That's on you really, isn't it?

That's your computer.

So that appears,

wow.

That is a proper original PSP with the audio

player with cream.

I can assume playing on it.

Shout out to you listening to Cream on a PSP.

Awesome.

That's cool.

That's some dedication.

There are better ways to listen.

Yeah,

58:53 Creamers' Marketplace Finds and PSP Listener

like Spotify, you know, YouTube,

it has stuff built in, you can comment.

But you know, fair enough, first on the iPod,

no, now on the PSP, kind of crazy.

And the same keyboard as me.

So, shout out.

Also, I remember, I vividly remember those,

the little dots that were go up as you were

listening to something.

I had Katy Perry, I kissed a girl on my PSP.

You know, put that into the world.

Because you hadn't.

He still got his analog stick.

2008, which is very rare, mine has lost its analog stick.

I never had one.

Oh, you know how to PSP?

No.

You know what?

I'm going to buy for when we go to America.

I'm going to buy PSP, you can get them

cracked now, but have all the games on it.

I want to take that to America.

Allegedly.

What's that?

Allegedly.

Other people have that.

I don't have that.

No, you wouldn't buy that one.

Of course not.

Because they still sell PSP games,

so I would like to support the industry.

One could get that.

You might be able to.

It's a possibility.

Yeah.

The possibilities are endless when that's the case.

Ben.

Yeah.

More news from you.

More news.

This was a question, though.

So I don't know what sort of games would come

out of this.

I don't know what any of this is.

You said Arvolvo using AI.

Oh, now I saw this.

Now we can't show this.

You can go ahead and look at it afterwards.

Yes.

But there is a, it was not the main of all the account.

There's all those Switzerland.

Yeah.

So I opened up Facebook to scroll through

marketplace things earlier.

You don't do that.

I do.

What are you searching for a marketplace?

I want to know what it offers me.

Occasionally you find a funny thing like a Niss Altima.

So I go through it.

I look at all kinds of things on there.

Ben's looking at rugs.

He's looking lamps.

Lamps.

Lamps.

Yeah.

No, I don't really like a bifurge.

You're looking at golf clubs.

I have in the past.

Yeah.

You've been on golf for quite a while.

So no.

I look at cars.

Okay.

I went by.

I met before.

And then I'll look at, I'll look at like bits

for cars that people are selling just to see

what they're selling.

Interesting.

And then I'll also look at random objects

people are selling because it's funny.

Now, can I ask you this?

No.

What is your, I don't care.

I'm going to.

Yeah.

What's your morning routine with your phone

after you've, you know, you've done whatever

ablutions you want to do.

You know, if you have a moment in the

morning, what is that word you just use?

Abolutions.

You'd look it up.

I would do it.

Okay.

What's your, where do you start?

Do you go on Instagram?

Yeah, I want reels.

So you're going on reels?

Yeah, everyone.

And then what do you, do you go add a little

Facebook marketplace into that?

No, not in the morning.

I actually scroll face and marketplace.

Oh, toilet.

No, that's a work thing for me.

Sorry.

I don't know why, but like if we're having

lunch or something and we're sat,

we'll usually have lunch, we'll eat and then

we'll have like 20 minutes to sit around,

just, just chilling for a bit.

Right.

And that's when I go on it.

I don't know.

I don't do it much at home.

When was the last time you loballed someone?

Oh.

Oh, I loballed someone on.

You can see it.

It's just in your lap there.

Will, what's your setup?

I like to check my eBay saved searches.

I was about to ask what everyone's eBay saved

searches are.

Allow me to get them.

I've recently whittled mine down because I

realized I could scroll through just so many

saved searches.

I'm like, I don't need some of this.

Some of it was X5 related.

I don't need that.

So it means I'm getting served this stuff and

I don't need it.

So we'll start with you.

A Titan pressure washer.

Nice.

Okay.

That's the last thing you loballed.

And what did you go in at?

I can't see the exact prices,

but I remember that it was already like

basically half

1:02:06 Ebay Loballing

price.

It was basically brand new as well.

I went in and said, I'll give you like 40

quid for it.

I think it was up for already half what it was worth.

And their response was their little name

dropped down to the bottom and I never

received any words.

Yeah, which makes sense.

I was being a bit cheeky.

Well, what's your first.

What's your save?

What's some of your saved searches?

My eBay saved searches, which is perfect.

If you don't know, on eBay, on the app,

because obviously we have that,

this is not sponsored by eBay.

One day, maybe.

You can save searches so that you can just

click on it and it will show you the newly

listed versions of that.

So I always do, if there's a car you're

after, I do that.

You set up a load of notifications or whatever.

I have Mercy Largo in cars.

You know what?

It's wishful thinking.

Wishful thinking that they would be just a Mercy Largo.

Just so much pops up on eBay and goes,

"You can have that."

Yeah, I'm buying now cheap.

To be fair, my first one was Glardo.

That was from last year.

Okay.

Just in case.

Just in case.

Glardo, they're Mercy Largo.

And then more recently, Focus RS Muck 1.

These are all still cars.

Then McLaren seats.

Okay.

I have a, I want it saved on there because

sometimes McLaren seats get very,

this was when I had the Clio.

Yeah, I had an idea.

I was like, I don't really like,

I like other seats, but I wanted some McLaren

seats in a Clio, would just be Ultimate Flex,

would be really cool.

Yep.

Then Renault Recaro, that's my pack up.

Very nice.

Very good.

Very good.

Alfa Romeo 159, and then Mercy Largo parts.

And that's it.

I've run it down a little bit now.

Classic cars, clear 182 parts,

Ranger of a Classic, Ranger of every,

every variety of Ranger of a Classic could be in there.

There's six different categories,

including parts.

E36 parts, BMW E36 parts, BMW E31 parts,

eight series parts, Honda beat,

BMWs between the year 1981 and 1999.

Okay.

Ferrari steering wheel.

Don't know why, just kind of thought it would

be cool to have an old steering wheel.

Ferrari 550, of course in there.

(C)

There are watches on there.

There are yellow seat belts for a clear Mark III.

I should probably remove that.

Ben, you don't do that anymore.

You mustn't laugh.

You mustn't laugh at my...

You know what?

Can I give my phone to you?

Can you please read out what's on my...

These are my active ones right now.

You must read out verbatim there,

the top one.

And you mustn't laugh, please.

Here we go, folks.

Will, can you rate my watchlist?

Okay, this is Edwin Clinkenberg of "Top of

the Tenders" and the Queen podcast.

Watchlist isn't eBay, yes, surely.

(laughs)

I was I watching that.

Guess which one my girlfriend put on my watchlist?

It's like 50 bucks.

Yeah, that's exactly it.

Well, so, on my ended one, we've got an Audi

RS5 spares or repairs.

We've got four Ferrari 599 wheels.

We've got a set of vans, a white Honda Civic,

and then an entire Ferrari 550 engine.

Mine is quite literally a watchlist.

Of watches.

Of watches.

You're a big watchman.

And then there is also just a,

for some reason, you know the beer medello?

You're right.

I found a T-shirt with a medello graphic on it.

I thought you were gonna say actual beers.

No, it was £5.30.

Hey man, I've done it.

I buy a suit off eBay.

I will say.

That is true.

That is true.

True and odd and I won't ever get my head around it.

What food?

Crisps, there is Indian lemon and chili

crisps that are so incredibly good.

No, no, no, no.

I bought pickle crisps off eBay.

God, what is this?

Oh God.

That's the hook.

What about, now what would say more about you?

Because it's slightly more varied.

It's your Facebook saved.

Okay.

Oh, okay.

Facebook saved, in my Facebook,

Can I, I kind of know why I saved it.

Before we get to Facebook saved,

can we please, can you please give me your

last eBay purchase?

I last eBay purchase.

Because I'll give you mine, which is a

universal camshaft injection pump,

cam pulley holder, sprocket holding tool wrench.

Mine is a set of used Ray bands.

Okay, nice.

Ben, your last purchase on eBay?

I bought a Panasonic HXWA 10 full HD

waterproof camcorder from 2009.

Very nice.

That's quite nicely varied.

I just thought it was cool to have an old-ish camera.

Now, on my Facebook saved, I saved this ages

ago just 'cause I was intrigued to see if it ever sells.

This is a Toyota Prius steering wheel.

Okay.

That's what, sorry.

It's a Prius steering wheel that has been

flat-bottomed and topped with full carbon fiber.

Who's doing that?

It's carbon fiber top carbon fiber bottom.

It's 200 pounds.

That's what it is.

It's not dreadful.

You know, for when we do the TDC build on the

Toyota Prius, then we'll be going,

I have got on my watch list,

I've got a Hyundai Coupe that was partly

modified, one for the channel.

Okay.

A Mark V Golf, probably modified.

A eight series and an old Mercedes W124.

Nice.

So I've got not too bad.

I've got an Avon time on here that sold 1500 quid.

Lovely.

I'm out setting a Mark II Fiesta,

an E46 with a turbo coming out with bonnet.

This, oh, oh.

(laughs)

Ben described this.

If you could, I saved this, 'cause I wanted

to buy it.

Yep.

And I missed out.

That is a Lightning McQueen portable,

or what I think would have been like an old

portable TV, but like a fat TV,

but it's got Lightning McQueen's slightly

high looking face.

And

that's the TV.

And that's for Will's personal connection,

by the way.

There's a trophy I missed out,

load of Focus RS Mark I's, Focus RS wheels,

a fake Rolls-Royce Phantom that we were looking at.

That was good.

A genuine McLaren F1 intake.

Cool.

30,000 pounds.

It's sold quite apparently.

Wow.

A DCAT, that was recent research purposes.

A steering wheel, a clear V6,

some fake Recarros, the Prius carbon fiber

wheel, and then just lots of one,

five, nines after that.

It's a part one tires.

Ben.

I've got some golf lake balls.

Golf lake balls.

Yeah, like ones that get hit in the lake,

people go and find them and then they sell on Facebook.

I've got a Volvo S40, I've got an arch mirror.

Ben is an old man.

I've got a couple of left camera lenses,

I've got some golf clubs on there,

I've got a one to exhaust.

Ben's, you contact him and he goes,

just going out the house, the kids have moved

on, you know, the kids are up and out by now,

so you know,

And then clear out some space in the house,

me and the wife are gonna go on cruises for

the rest of our lives.

So when you buy something and you look at the

person's profile, either Facebook or not

their profile, but like what they're selling.

Yeah.

Whether it's eBay, so like if you're looking

at a car, you go and like, and it says other

items and I'm intrigued.

Yeah.

Sometimes you get a bit creeped out 'cause

I'm like, what, why are they selling such odd stuff?

They used women's shoes being sold.

Yeah.

But looking at Ben, you go, that's a 60 year old bloke.

Ben goes, if I see Ben selling a car,

I'm like, this is the perfect man.

This is who I want to buy a car off.

Well, in case it's all that sort of stuff,

probably the maximum value of anything on

that is maybe 110 pounds.

Right.

And I have this saved very top,

which I'm gonna show you to you and you're

going to describe what it is.

Please, sure.

That is a BMW, now did I, I think I asked you

to save that because I couldn't see it and

you sent it to me.

It's 95 BMW 840CIV8 for 22 grand.

In Oxford Green.

Yeah.

Yes, it's green over sort of,

is it tan?

Yeah, like a parchment, I think you'll find it.

So now I think we've got quite sidetracked.

Yeah, quite a lot.

What is it that we would like to talk about then?

I don't even know where we started.

Why are we here?

But anyway, there's two more brief pieces of

news to talk about, both of them are from you,

Ben.

I don't think we got to the thing that we

were supposed to start or we were supposed to talk about.

Are Volvo using AI?

1:10:27 Volvo AI Advert

Oh, sorry.

Okay, so back to Volvo.

So using AI, I cannot really remember the crazy one.

Anyway, Volvo Switzerland have made an ad.

We'll put a link to it in the description.

It feels 100% like AI.

They're doing all these new electric cars.

I think it's like an ES

30, 90, maybe something.

It's something.

It's like a new saloon car, but it's convertible.

A bit like the sort of early 2010s,

Audi A5 convertible.

It's like a long-tooted or coupé,

but it's convertible.

But the way that that soft-hot roof comes

down, they're very obviously very long roofs.

And they fall back down.

I watched it and I was like,

"Now, that looks AI."

Yeah.

The way it moves, it's weird.

But it's like, it's the car.

It's not some weird load of shapes.

It is the exact car, but then like that.

And then you look at the people in the car

and they're moving--

They look normal, but they've got that weird

movement that AI has.

And then the wheels kind of spin forward and

back at the same time.

You are a multi-ben, we worked this out last

time, billion dollar company.

Oh, all that is worth, billion surely.

Come on now.

The worst thing is there are levels to AI.

On board, you know, any advertising with AI,

L, do you know?

Don't do that.

Natural source of shower gel,

I like you, but man, you got AI adverts it,

pisses me off.

The lemon one though is fantastic.

The lemon one's

incredible, the bince, my favorite.

(laughs)

But this is like chat GPT generated,

it's bad.

It's a free trial.

It's free trial space, it's really sloppy.

Now I can understand it's a smaller

subsidiary with it, it's just the Swiss,

thank you, I was about to say,

it's kind of hard, right?

But no, man, can't do that.

You have the car, you literally make it.

Yeah.

You literally, imagine like a chef makes a

plate of food and goes, well,

I can't photograph that, I'll have to have

it, I generate it, why?

Just think of a beef bog in your,

wow.

The great one, Ben's hungry.

Oh, this year's late.

What we got next?

For our penultimate, which is a word I have

to check in my head every time I say it,

we'll talk about the fact that I have become Barry.

Mr.

Barry, this is not Barry Chandler.

Mr.

Barry Chandler, if you don't remember,

Barry, it's a famous story, it's a famous tale.

Apart from the Boxster we had.

From the Annals of the Cream podcast.

A brief, I bought a, I was about to say

Volkswagen Boxster, starting incorrect,

straight away.

Bought a Porsche Boxster from up in Liverpool.

The car arrived.

I got a message from the previous owner

saying I've left my glasses in the car.

He said, I said, I'm very sorry to hear that.

I can send them back to you,

but I'm quite busy at the moment.

A few days later, he called me and gave me

very shitty response saying I'd be a lot

better if I had my glasses and I lost it on

him and got very annoyed.

I decided in protest to keep his glasses.

We had multiple more communications from

Barry and Co, who demanded the glasses back.

He never got his glasses.

It turns out Barry was with us all along

because-

Here he is, Tom Barry, I understand your frustration.

But-

What happened?

My sunglasses have been found in a car I sold.

Not with my sunglasses.

My prescription glasses.

Well, well, I need them even more than I need

some sunglasses.

Where is that car gone?

That car has gone to basically Liverpool.

So I sold my Range Rover to a lovely chap in

Josh, who I think listens to the podcast,

I think.

Shout out Josh.

I don't know.

And basically, he sent me a message maybe a

week later and said, just having a look

around the car, "These are your glasses."

And I've maybe been missing those glasses for

the last six months or so.

So I can't make the argument that I need them decades.

You can't see 'em to define them.

And yeah, I was like, yeah, 'cause I think

he's gonna bring them to Shed Festival maybe,

which is very kind.

But at no point during that,

did I say, "Hello, Josh, mate.

"I'd be a lot better if I had my glasses,

actually.

"You sold."

I mean, he's well within his rights to keep them.

Can you take his glasses and send him a

message that just says, "Where are the glasses?"

Full stop, phone 'em up and say,

"Where are they?"

So Barry, you know, you're paying,

they understand where you're at.

You are still not getting the glasses.

Oh, man.

Where are they?

They're inside my C55MG, which has been--

Oh, it's still, I thought they were dead.

No, no, they're still around.

No, I hold them as a great trophy.

And they're polarized.

Yeah, lovely.

Do you want to borrow them from them?

(laughing)

They won't replace my clear glasses very well.

What should we end on?

Let's end on a forum, Ben, from you.

Was not from you, but it's via you,

from an creamer.

Here is a forum from Sam Robinson.

You sound like something from a children's

book or a mad smash.

Yeah, no, in a very end.

I have been in others.

1:15:09 First Track Day Advice

I have booked my first ever track day for

later this summer, and I'm not quite sure how

prepared I should be.

What does that mean?

I don't speak English, let me start again.

I've booked my first ever track day for this summer.

I'm not quite sure how much preparation I

should be doing to my car beforehand.

I see lots of owners, groups discussing brake

lines, brake kits as must-hows,

but is accurate and what should I actually prepare?

A lot of question.

Yeah, very good question.

First things first is that there's no other

context of what the car is or anything like.

There is, I just didn't say it.

Well, okay, that's great.

Thanks, Ben.

Well, I thought you just went...

The car question is an FN2-type car.

Lovely.

Okay, cool.

So, straight off the bat, first track day,

you do not need to be a hero.

You're not gonna be the fastest there.

Your aim, I believe this honestly,

your aim at your first track day is to leave

at the end of the day in your car.

That's your goal.

You will have fun.

If you go around 30 mile an hour,

you'll feel quite cool.

So don't worry about pushing the car hard.

Braided brake lines and all that sort of

stuff is for after you've worked out the

weaknesses of the car.

You do it in stages.

You go there to your first track day,

you feel out your car, you go,

"Oh, the brakes don't actually feel that good.

Now I can look at doing some brake upgrades."

You go to your second track day,

the brakes are now good, you go,

"Oh, I could do with a bit more power."

You upgrade from there, you start to feel not

that safe, you do a roll cage,

you do

harnesses.

Don't worry on your first one about doing

anything other than making sure the car's in

a safe and

good manner.

Good tyres, good new brake fluid,

go for it,

have fun.

track and have a massive instant where your

car gushes all out everywhere,

where a brake line explodes and you lose brakes.

So make sure your car's safe,

but especially, you said an FN2 Type R.

So it's a performance car already capable.

So I mean, that standard road pads will not,

will be a little bit naff on a track day.

And if you want to do continuous laps,

but because you're, if you're a beginner,

you're probably going to want to sort of ramp

it up anyway.

Yep.

And most standard road cars are not going to

take over and like, loads and loads of laps,

but again, you have to build your car up to that.

So you're going to go, okay,

my brakes faded after five laps or my tires

got overheated by like two laps,

then you know, okay, well, next time I come

back, I'll come back with new tires with

different brakes or I need stiffer suspension

or whatever it is.

But you might just like throwing your car

around as it is standard.

Yeah, it might be more fun like that.

So my safety thing is the biggest part.

Because you guys had some of the most fun

you've ever had on track in the Golf and

Fiesta standard on and ditchfinders.

Yeah, well, I sold my EVO1, the EVO1 that we

did on 2DC to my good friend,

Will, other Will from Vestige Customs.

He took that car completely stock.

It had cheap 150 pound like MOT spec tires to

just get it through its M&T.

He just bashed it around track all day,

had a load of fun and then went,

basically, the only thing I want to do is put

a different set of tires on it,

put a different set of tires on it,

went out again, went, I'm going a bit quicker

through corners now.

I'm going to chuck a half cage in it.

That's where he's at now.

The next time he goes out, he might go,

I want it quicker.

That's the way you should be leveling it up.

Don't throw parts, don't find a parts cannon

at it without knowing what the weakness is.

Because you also don't want to get 10 grand

into a car before your first track day,

do it and go, I don't actually think this is for me.

You also have no idea if it's better or worse.

Yeah.

If you start out with a relatively

standard-ish car and as you upgrade it,

you might go, actually, that's actually,

I don't prefer that.

It doesn't sound as good.

It doesn't feel as good.

It doesn't steer as good.

go back, whereas if you start out with a

fully built track car, it's hard to dial it

back from there.

Yeah.

But for the main thing, it's,

like you said, fresh fluids and stuff.

Don't be a bellend and go there with an unprepared cut.

None of you're asking about preparation,

but oils, make sure nothing's gonna leak out.

Make sure you're not going there with

suspension bushes hanging out.

You want it to drive nicely.

Yeah.

And the one other thing I will say is use

your first time be prepared to move out of people's way.

Yeah.

And that's not meant as like a you think

you're fast, just that's the thing you should

be keeping in mind.

Enjoy it.

If someone's faster, let them pass.

And there always will be someone.

There always will be.

Some dude will turn up in a 992 GT3 and be

crazy fast, or they might turn up in a 992

GT3 and be slow and you'll have to deal with

them getting out of your way.

It's just how it goes.

There is a load of fun to have even without

being 10 tents driving.

And most importantly,

Have fun.

Just have fun with it, man.

Going to your first track, though,

can be quite, 'cause depending on the car

you're going, sometimes you think like,

"Oh, I'm gonna go there.

Everyone's gonna be in radicals."

Yeah.

Pick the right track, there as well.

There are like,

The Greed.

the open pit lane stuff is really,

really cool, 'cause you can sort of come in

and go out as sort of, as you please,

but there are like novice days or there are

days where they have like sections of people

where they are or it that, where they are novices.

So you're not going out with full on track cars.

There are some track days where track like,

like, everything has to be road legal.

Yes, so you can't have people on slicks and,

you know, mad race cars, time attack cars.

So it just feels a little bit more,

feels a bit less serious, a little bit more chill.

'Cause I think that's not, to go to a nice

chill track day, yeah, is very nice.

We talked about this before,

but I want the first track day I went to my

M3, I turned up and realized the MOT had just run out.

So I couldn't go on and they said,

well, what you can do is you can go in the

non-road legal class for your first track day.

And I was against Radicals and like a 500

horsepower Caterham.

That shit me up, I'll be honest.

I was like, this is, I don't like this.

Every three seconds I had, behind me I had to move.

Whereas if I had to be in the novice thing,

it would have been us and some micros and

some MR2s just chilling on track.

Yeah, watch some videos on YouTube as well

about sort of etiquette on track as well

about how to make sure that you tell someone

to go past you, how to sort of,

how to position yourself so people can go

past you safely.

If you would indicate, right?

Yeah, well, that's not gonna say.

Not right as in, if you would indicate comma,

right?

It can be either side.

Listen, when you go there, just listen to

your, the track marshals and listen to the

briefing at the beginning because it feels,

when you turn up, you feel like you're being

talked out like an air safety instruction,

where you're like, "Yeah, none of this matters."

A lot of it does matter, especially if it's

open pit lane, they will tell you what you do

and don't need to do your times,

a lot of sort of stuff.

But it feels a bit intimidating,

but I promise you, the moment you actually

get out, you'll be like, "This is amazing,

this is really good."

So enjoy, enjoy your first track day,

see you out on the track.

Also make sure you cast not too late.

That would be the most annoying thing.

You'd be surprised how low some limits are on cars.

Yeah, cars not absolutely batshit loud,

you'd be fine.

The one model I would actually say,

that like, to start out with is actually a seat.

Agreed, fully agreed.

Not necessarily like a bucket,

like a full on bucket seat harness type thing.

You should really do, just a harness,

whatever.

I recommend some tires, man.

But like, going to a track day in a car with

a really like a floppy seat,

we are just falling everywhere.

It's fun for like a couple of minutes.

Yeah.

It comes a bit of a strain where you're just

hanging on to everything.

When you're in a really nice seat,

or just one that like, supports you a little bit.

So you're not sloshing around in your own car.

It is nice, 'cause then it doesn't actually

matter about the suspension and the brakes

and stuff, 'cause at least you're still in

control of everything.

Yes, yeah.

So that would be my one, first one.

But nice, enjoy your first track day,

Samuel.

I hope some other creamers are the government name.

Did I?

He just said my name is Sam.

Oh, well, right.

Samuel.

I'm external.

I'm external.

Listen to Samuel.

You must enjoy your first track day,

and I hope there are some other creamers that

have never done it before that are like,

you know what, let's do it.

Go do it in your track.

You don't need a race car.

That's the one other thing I'll say.

It can be a stock road car.

Just go enjoy your car.

I think that's a good place.

Cream track, they win.

Oh, yeah.

Okay, we'll do that.

We'll do that.

Thank you very much for listening to this

episode of the Cream Podcast.

Shout out.

We will see you next week, as always.

Perhaps with the measure of our own.

God, I hope.

As always, cream, get the money.

But by now, Creams.

See you.
