0:00 Introduction and Rule or Ruin

The Glado isn't the process of going.

Wow, well, well, well.

I wasn't gonna say anything.

No, I wasn't gonna.

You didn't grill.

You didn't grill.

It's just slop and arguments.

Otherwise known as the cream podcast.

What's heavier, not stainless steel.

How much steel or a pound of feathers?

Half of the sausage would be upside down.

Right.

Right.

We've

got it.

Hello and welcome back to the 78th.

Cars Rule Everything Around Me podcast with

my self-will, Edwin to my right and Benjamin over there.

Hello.

We'll find an in front of a camera at the

beginning of everyone of these podcasts.

We ask ourselves, do cars rule or ruin

everything around us this week?

Ben, would you like to start us off?

Oh, curvil.

I can start it off.

Yeah.

Sure.

Rule.

Why is that then?

S2000 is back.

And he's out of storage.

It's a point in the same direction.

Washed.

Okay.

You know what?

Most people coming to this podcast,

I'm gonna hear about behind the scenes of

videos, only about purchasing a car.

Ben, I washed my car.

I didn't wash in.

You know, that's how Robin from Viking detail.

So you washed my car.

Didn't even clean your own car.

That's how rich you are.

I just don't like winning cars.

Ben won't like this at all.

Robin said to Ben, you pay what you think.

Ben said, I didn't know that.

That's cool.

That's cool.

Yeah, I'll do that.

Of course I'll do that.

Of course I'll do that.

Then you came in and went, how much do I pay?

What should I pay?

Okay.

That may sound really bad.

That's your tough one.

I'd never, I'd like to ask a question to you.

How did it get resolved?

I paid him.

No, of course you paid him.

But how did it get resolved as to how much to pay?

There was a way in which that we worked out.

Okay, so what happened was, is that he

offered it three or about seven times.

I was like, no, I'm paying you,

because it's your time.

And that's cool.

Of course you offered that.

Yeah.

Well, I did so.

I want to pay, so I'm going to pay him.

And then he said to me, you know what,

I don't want any money, but pay whatever you like.

It can be a pound, it can be 20 million quid.

So, I said to you guys, because I don't know,

I have never had like an actual detail,

a detail my car before.

I was like, what's the, what's the rate for that?

And then, yeah.

No, well, let me see, because you don't say it.

Why are you doing this?

You're going to listen to this now.

Yeah.

No, we said you, you say a number,

and then will rest.

And then that's, and then, but you went with

the correct number.

How much was it in the end?

50 grand, right?

50 grand.

There you go.

Robin is loving life.

Robin is not detailing.

Shout out, Robin.

Sorry, Robin.

too little, man.

Let me know.

I'm sorry.

I just want to make it right.

I didn't want it to sound like I was trying

to too much.

Maybe back to Ben over here.

Just getting, getting.

Ben just reached into his car,

strangled some coins and went,

how do I be through it?

Robin is hard as he could.

He said he is like, like, Robin was jangling

a cup around.

So, but you're happy.

It's a role I drove at home last night.

And it drove here today, fine,

right?

Out of the golf today.

Oh, why is that then?

Because it was clean.

Oh, is that the way?

Is it not the battery?

We are battery is out.

Yeah, it was in storage and it has one of those.

What are they called?

Batteries.

That's cut off.

A cut off thing where the negative terminal

has just a twisty thing rather than a bolt.

Does that make any sense?

Yes, no, that's fine.

You basically twist this little knob and then

you can take the terminal off it,

when it's in storage, it doesn't die.

I didn't do that.

So, the car died and then when batteries die,

they can sometimes actually die.

Also, that battery is very old and has

already been a little bit air.

So, I think it's hard for me.

Yeah, so I drove it home last night,

about 95 miles.

An hour?

An hour?

Yeah, well less an hour, yeah.

And I got home, I was like, I'll just

quickly, I moved it, I was like,

I'll just quickly get back in it and just

move it again and then click.

I was like, cool, battery.

Straight away.

So, I bought you a battery.

For the grandson of 50 pounds,

which is quite cheap from battery.

Yeah, yeah.

Ben's like, I have to get rid of it.

50, I'm not doing this anymore.

I can't do this.

Why do I put this one in?

My life is now just 50 pounds.

I'll never get that, though.

50 pounds here, 50 pounds there.

Yeah, you let's find a couple of 50 pounds there.

That was more.

That was much more, about 50 grand.

But yeah, overall, overall, and then I'm

excited for Saturday because we have

4:09 Will's Cars for Sale Update

food and fuel.

It will have been.

It will have happened.

We are excited to see some creamers.

So, shout out if we saw you there.

Good to meet you guys.

Good to meet you guys.

The next one, if you missed us,

we'll see you at Shellsley Watch,

which is in August.

So, we'll see you then.

Will.

Will.

Will.

That's you.

That's me.

Hi.

I will go with a ruin.

Oh, why is that?

There's no major reason.

Well, there is.

It's the limbo effect again.

Yes.

Again, as you just mentioned,

food and fuel is coming up and feud and fuel.

Oh, but now that is the 16th century version.

Feud and grill.

Well, that might be the cream one.

Feud and grill.

Feud and grill.

It's just slop and arguments.

Otherwise known as the cream podcast.

So, that's coming up.

And I was very excited

because I thought, you know what,

I was going to take a few comments.

We've got a couple different cars.

Yes.

I do.

I do.

I have a couple of different cars.

You have five?

No, not anymore.

Oh, how many do you have now?

So, there's a summer in the process of going.

One I can actually say is gone and that is the clear.

The clear is gone.

That is sold.

That is sold.

The Range Rover may go this weekend as in the

day after

food and fuel.

Now, you literally told us about two hours

ago that you were keeping that car.

So, what's happened here?

Yes.

That's why it's unconfirmed because we went

to go and look at a car the other day.

I wanted now for 1.59 as I mentioned last

week and I found the 1.59 that I like.

It was a TI, which is a spec I like.

It is a sport wagon.

It looks better.

So, it's a sport wagon.

It's a tiny bit more practical.

It's not like a proper estate car,

but it's just cool.

It's cool to say, but it's black on tan.

You loved it.

Great.

We'll have the pictures.

So, it had gray, but with a view to change.

Okay.

Blah, blah, blah.

And then bloody hell, I've forgotten.

Hold on, that was it.

We went to go and see the car,

which was around two hours away.

And the pictures looked okay,

but it was being sold by a normal person.

Can you please describe the eBay back and forth?

It was the toughest.

It was the toughest.

You're right.

I asked them.

I said, "Do you know when the Campbell was done?

What year and what mileage was the Campbell done?"

I made that question very clear.

The response I got back was,

"It is a 2010, and the mileage is in the photos."

I said, "No, I want to know when the Campbell was done.

What year was it done?

Was it 1997?

Well, when was it?"

But that leads us into this episode,

again,

is sponsored by our guys at Car Vertical.

Obviously, before going to see that car,

I wanted to do a Car Vertical check on it.

And it all came up pretty good.

It was in no crash

damage or anything like that.

And then obviously, the next step of the car

buying process, after you've done a Car

Vertical, was to go and see it where it

wasn't too great.

And that's mainly because it wasn't really

advertised properly.

But Car Vertical came up back pretty good.

I've been firing out Car Vertical since then.

I've seen the emails on 159 saying it was good.

There's a lot of sketchy ones out there.

But always, always, if you're buying a used

car or any car for that matter,

run a Car Vertical check, leave no stone unturned.

You never know what you might miss out on.

The amount of times we've looked at a car for

sale, you do a check, and there's some

ridiculous damage that's been,

you know, undeclared in the effort.

They were golfs that we were looking for for Ben.

Completely clean car.

According to the seller, you run a Car Vertical.

Oh, it's been crashed three times and it's on finance.

Yeah.

And you can use code CREAM for 20% off your

next Car Vertical bundle load of them

together, get 50% off, shell out Car Vertical.

We maybe get a 159 next week.

Hopefully.

I have bid on one today.

Very cheap one.

Not exactly the spec I'm after,

but it's so cheap.

The car while gods have come through.

They've talked about them before.

If you ask a car, they will speak quite into existence.

8:00 TVR and E55 Rust Work

Recently, they speak, it just wasn't.

I was starting to lose hope.

And one five lines I'm discovering are lots

of them have rusted away, lots of them have

been broken for bits.

And there aren't many.

And lots of them that are for sale are bad.

They're really bad.

But anyway, hopefully I win this one in the

next couple of days and hopefully a better

one comes up.

So yeah, many ruins.

Rainbow potentially gone, Cleo gone gone.

That's two.

The glardo isn't the process of going.

Wow, well, well, well.

I thought you were going to say anything.

No, I wasn't going to.

It's not confirmed.

It's not confirmed.

It is in the process of going.

I had a very silly offer on it.

And there's something coming up that I would

like to free up some capital,

let's say.

An Alfa 159.

Alfa 159 came out.

Oh, my house.

Got to have some money available for that.

Scott Kumo tyres as well.

So yeah, that's gone.

And then all I have left at the moment is the

McGahn, which is in storage currently.

And so I'm just sort of borrowing and

stealing my way to work.

Now, we went to the storage unit to get the McGahn out.

the other day.

And it's, you know what?

The temperature has been rising.

It's been heating up recently.

It's nice.

Hot today.

Hot today.

24.

Yeah.

You have some seats in the McGahn.

Yeah.

I saw you do something.

I'm going to put something on screen.

I need you to explain what this is.

What's that?

James May naked in an Aston Martin N24,

pouring water down

himself.

Yeah.

But now granted, that's not actually the

thing I was going for.

The thing I was going for is the cushion.

Oh, the cushion.

Yeah.

Sorry.

I have got a cushion.

in the McGahn.

Will's got a cushion in the McGahn.

Like a car cushion.

Because before the McGahn went away on its

little holiday and its jaunt,

I put some seats in it with some OMP RTs,

which are a very cool seat.

But they, they're not ridiculously extreme,

but for a, for a big trap, it's a little bit

uncomfortable.

So I took a cushion from my sofa.

But I still will get in to go and take it

back to storage.

I forgot the cushion.

I mean, so what?

You know, am I cushion for sitting on the seat?

It's cushion in the back.

So then it's just a house cushion.

Like a very out of place.

Like a one for my sofa.

Can you, how can you describe it for all your list?

It's, how would you call it?

Not Alcantara.

It's a lot of Alcantara at all.

It's not quite below because that makes me

feel crushed in velvet.

Almost below.

Wow.

I don't want to be associated with that at all.

It's a grey house.

Well, it's got almost a suede,

but a softer kind of suede blue.

It isn't suit the interior at all.

Your house is a fun thing to do.

But the fun way of the, again,

it's really thrown off.

It's really ruined the ambiance.

in there.

But the McGahn is currently the only one left.

Hopefully a daily, hopefully something else

in the next couple of weeks.

I want to modify them again,

though.

I don't want to modify the McGahn.

I want to make it more-- After we drove--

More hardcore?

Yes.

I mean, all the seats that you don't like.

But I realize it, I either go back and I

can't go back.

No, you can never go back.

I'm not going back from that.

I can't go and put standard seats in and something.

Seats, maybe some harnesses at a cool steering wheel.

After driving the hack 140, I was like,

I like this.

I feel purposeful.

How-- But overall, Ruin.

How was the wheels?

What wheels?

Oh, yeah.

Oh, we talking about-- Wow, Ben,

that's actually quite-- Oh, yeah,

sorry.

That's quite mean.

Meanwhile, you're making me talk about

spinning my S2000.

Go on.

It's already you've brought that out.

It's perfect.

You decided to do it.

It's perfect.

You decided to do it.

I'll talk about it.

See?

Easy.

Easy.

That's unredacted.

You know what?

I was going to make an excuse.

I won't.

OK.

I might.

No, you should-- No, it's just the road fell

away on you.

It fell away.

It was one of those roads that--

The curb, it had a bowling alley.

Right.

The sides up.

That curb came out of nowhere.

I haven't seen that curb before.

It must have just put that way in the heat.

It happens.

It happens when all the budget put a curve into me.

No, it was driving in them again,

and I wasn't paying enough attention because

I was quite tired, actually.

That's my excuse.

And I clotted it off of him.

The technical term.

Yeah.

Too clocked.

It's a white wheel, so it doesn't show as

bad, but it's not happy.

Also, like, quite new refurbed wheels,

at least in Lebanon.

So, yeah, that needs doing.

Not much.

Also, the car looks a bit rough at the moment.

It's been sat.

So, it's got, like, even the headlights that

were polished, and now I'm just rougher some shit.

So, I haven't cleaned it yet,

and it is properly cleaned.

So, it's a ruiner.

I call it a ruin.

There's light at the end of the tunnel.

Right.

But I actually don't know if I can get there.

Like, I might make a side exit.

You might puck off a little bit.

It might be the fact that that tunnel's actually closed.

Yeah.

And you're just looking at it.

going, "Is that open?"

And I'll have to either go back the other way

or out a different route.

So, yeah.

So, yeah, two podcasts away from me.

Two podcast times.

For me, less than a week and a half.

You will have either excitement or sadness.

It will be a summer of ruin for Will.

If whatever it is, which some of you know

what it is, doesn't happen, although it will

be a spree.

Will it's going to be crying either way?

A spree of some kind.

There will be a spree.

Will it have tears?

For me, it's a rule.

Okay.

The TVR, I took it out for some,

I did some filming with it.

I've been driving it.

I love it.

I adore it.

Everything's perfect with that car.

I took it into London for Southside Hustle.

It's great.

I parked it behind an oven time.

Nice.

It fit.

It worked.

It was all good.

Now Ben, Will knows about this.

On Saturday, after Southside

13:20 Green TVR Incident at Petrol Station

Hustle, I came back here to do some work on the E55.

Crazy Flex, just out of the Tuscan,

and just came to do kind of grinding rust out

of rear arches of an E55.

And afterwards, I had to fill up.

So I stopped at a petrol station in my home.

I got out of the car.

There were loads of people looking at me.

And I was like, "Okay, TBR."

Yeah, I got a TBR, all right.

Kind of crazy.

And it was green, that's green.

Went inside the petrol station,

and everyone in there was looking at me weird.

I was like, "What's going on?"

And you're like, "Tc's blown up."

I was like, "This is crazy.

TBR can't have this much of an effect.

This is why people buy supercars."

"No, Ben, would you like to see why people are looking?"

(Laughter) Now, yeah, it turns out that I

will rip it.

Can

you zoom in so you can see it clear?

There you go.

That is

a crazy one.

So a very long day.

For audio listeners, I was

wearing a respirator, as you should,

while grinding back

the rust on the E55.

When I told you there's rust on the subframe

of the E55, you're going to see it in an

episode in a while.

It's bad.

It's very bad.

I was wearing a respirator and I had glasses on.

Oh, so this was after.

I had then just finished up,

put everything away, not realizing my face was covered.

Like, that's down the mine.

That's crazy down the mine.

Got into a bright green TVR.

That's crazy.

Filled up and walked into a Foyer full of people.

Also getting out of...

To be like I was mental.

Getting out of a car that for most people

would think that is like, that is a 300,000 pound car.

When I got back to the, and I only realized

when I got back into the car,

and then left, pulled out of the petrol

station, and looked for the wing mirror,

and just started laughing to myself.

So when I got back to the unit,

I took that photo.

So yeah, those people went, I saw the madest thing today.

It's a bright green car.

No idea what it was.

I saw an extra idea what it was.

From Mad Max driving around in a green car.

A man who appears to have been struck by

lightning at some point.

However, there was one small ruin.

I was talking about the black Range Rover

classic that had come up.

And I was excited, and my friend,

Will went to go and look at it,

who's an expert.

I called from him and he said,

"Why did you send me here?"

And I said, "What?

What do you mean?

The thing looks good."

He said, "I'm looking through three legs of

the chassis right now with the other side.

It was completely rotten.

It wasn't even a parts car."

So unfortunately, the struggle continues.

I feel like a rust on cars or rust in general

was discovered about 10 years ago.

The idea of rust as a concept was not known

about intentionally.

Is there a reason for age?

What I mean is that every car from like 20

years ago, 30 years ago, I think like 20

years ago, when everything started,

that's when I remember everything from the

beginning, came into being approximately 24 years ago.

Does that make sense to you?

'Cause it feels like all cars used to just

rust, like they didn't know what rust was.

Okay.

And now, as the one there, when everyone was like...

He's losing it already.

He's not sure about where the train's going.

That's not so clever in my head.

Does that make sense?

No.

Are you suggesting rust didn't exist?

No, I'm pre-2005.

I was sort of joking, but it existed less.

Why do they not rust protect cars back in the day?

Because it's like rust wasn't a known thing.

It's cheaper.

But every car is like that.

It's a Range Rover.

That's expensive car.

Yeah, true.

Why not rust treated?

But also, they're also quite old.

Yeah, I know, but I'm saying they're not

built to last.

They want you to buy a new car every few years.

But why is it planned on the left?

But now they do it.

What?

And shouldn't they?

They do galvanisation.

Yeah, exactly.

But they're not doing under seal.

They're not going to make land of guard,

come down to factory.

I want you to do all of these

17:00 U.S. Emissions Regulations Update

and drivers in here.

We'll get the ice blasters in.

It will be noisy.

Okay.

But they will do it.

So do you believe then in 20 years time that

cars being built today, like all these BYDs

and stuff, they're going to be rusting?

Yeah.

Oh, really?

What are they made of?

NDMX5, NCMX5s are rusting badly already.

NDs?

Yeah.

Say it.

Do it.

NDs nuts.

That's great.

They're rusting.

It's what they're made of, 'cause some modern

cars are like aluminium and what such.

Like they're, they're emotional,

you know, metal.

And what are you made of?

What are they made of?

It's a question.

Unfortunately, steel, rust.

What's heavier?

Not stainless steel though.

How much steel or a pound of feathers?

Half the sausage would be upside down.

Right, right.

We've got two rules and a ruin.

Next week, we will see what we are.

Let's start with some anecdotes and what stuff.

Let's do it.

Some hammock notes you put in here.

I'm struggling to read this one.

Will I pronounce it?

U.S.

Deared regulations.

Now I've got some information on this.

Let me talk about things.

Do you know about this?

No, you're about to tell me.

Okay, good.

I want news presenters to start doing that.

Just a quick question.

Should I talk about this?

Or if you know about it, I'll just move on.

The U.S.

have effectively ended most of their rules

and regulations around building costs.

I saw this about emissions.

Yes.

They are basically all gone.

Really?

All of them.

So they're now free to go.

You're free to go.

Essentially, they've dismantled the rules

that have forced car makers to chase

admission targets, removing the legal basis

for CO2 regulation and taking pressure off of

moving to EVs and hybrids and efficiencies designs.

It means that manufacturers can now go back

to building what people actually want,

which is simple, bigger engine,

less constrained cars.

So the actual things that they've rolled back

on, emissions rules, so EPA have rescinded

their 2009 endangerment finding saying,

basically saying that CO2's bad.

They've gone, it's probably fine.

I think it's all right, actually.

It's like drinking for breakfast.

Mental, straight off the bat,

mental.

They're saying, cars don't actually do much,

I think they're fine.

I think they're fine.

So there's now no legal authority,

there's no greenhouse gas emission standards

for vehicles.

You can have CO2 basically be as much as you want.

Make sure you give them decats.

You can do what you want.

Me more Europe.

Right, those brake pads.

Tell me how much those are added.

So manufacturers no longer have to measure,

report or reduce CO2 emissions.

That's a start, just start with.

That's crazy.

Number two, the EV mandate pressure is gone.

Emissions rules were so strictly effectively

forced manufacturers into developing EVs that

pressure is now gone so they don't have to

make EVs to get the fleet to be with anything.

Diesel rules have massively been relaxed.

DEF and ad blue, no longer required,

they don't need to do

that.

Engine de-rate, I don't really understand

what that

means, but that is, that's gone.

So it's like when emission

systems fail, they had like backups,

I think.

They don't need to worry about that,

that's gone.

And enforcement against tampering,

against tampering with diesels,

and then worry about it, it'd be fine.

So

they're no longer banned, but they're no

longer worth it

from a compliance standpoint,

they don't have to do it.

Number five, emission standards and future

rules are

delayed all weekend, so the tightening of

emission systems, which has been planned,

scrapped.

So they don't need to worry about that.

So that means, well, we may see some cool

cards coming out of the US.

US manufacturers only really sell in the US.

This is one of them selling like a suburban or whatever.

They are, that is US, that's your audience.

It's people in the US, they're not having to

go on, yeah, but someone in London might want

to buy that.

So I reckon that means, what's like the

German manufacturers and stuff,

but back on the table.

Obviously the V8s were already going back in.

I reckon that means that Daytona electric

thing, sign up, you're getting the V8,

you're getting a supercharged bingle.

We've got, I'm wondering if that means

there's going to be European manufacturers

who start going, right, an American only,

G-Wagon that has, you know, a six litre V12 again.

But that's what I'm thinking is,

is they're going to be, well,

actually, we can sort of loosen the belt,

yeah, slightly, okay.

Nice.

Take our trousers off for what size.

Sometimes you get home, you take your trousers off.

I'm saying, I'm doing that, I'm feeling

pretty free, and there's now no restriction.

But only at home, would you have a trouser off?

But like in public, I wouldn't,

now, because it'd be silly, wouldn't it,

irresponsible.

I'll be honest.

Like some of it, some of it I'm fine with,

cool, relax that sort of stuff,

but is it being like CO2 missions,

they don't do that.

There aren't missions from cars.

CO2, okay, let's, come on now.

There is a level of that, but I'm interested

to see what that resulted.

Oh, I'm excited for that, that feels like an

era of exciting cars coming.

I'm just a little bit sad it's the US.

Yeah, well, come on, also, UK and Europe,

not doing that.

I'm like, from Europe needs that,

really.

Yeah, we're getting Euro nine.

Imagine if you said to BMW and say these

Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa,

any of those and said, do we want,

that's it, the leashes off, do what you like,

and they can throw iPhones in the bin,

everything, everyone can throw their take

hands away, it'll be like a sort of

revolution where everyone's,

that you're free now, you're throwing things

into the forest and letting their take on go

off, go, it'll be free in the wild.

We also couldn't do that though,

'cause our, our, people wouldn't buy it,

right, 'cause the fuel is so expensive here,

comparatively.

I don't have cheap fuel, right?

I think it would still work.

People would still, people would still

prefer, like the C63 is the argument,

nobody wanted the four-cylinder C63.

We still think about how many C63s,

M5s, things you see driving around in the UK,

people are still willing to do it.

Also, yes, fuel's expensive,

but if you compare your average,

I don't know, hybrid, this is purely based on

my thinking, not by any science.

Okay, but if you compare, your modern day

hatchback is some hybrid four-wheel,

three-wheel drive, sideways driving.

Yep, that's exactly right.

But how much more economical is it than what

would have been a 1.2-litre golf yester or

whatever it was?

Because they weren't exactly gas guzzlers.

No, you're still gonna be 50 plus NPG in it.

And to produce it.

Small petrol engines are way more efficient,

even older ones, than most people think.

Yes.

Is it actually gonna be that much worse?

But I mean, when leashes off,

we can make whatever we want.

Oh yeah, no, but I mean more like you can,

at the moment, even tiny petrol engines are

being strangled.

You have to add a turbo, you have to have a

hybrid system, you have to have start-stop,

you have to be really, really heavy because

you've got all those bits.

But if you just said, "No, you can start me."

Well, this is what I'm gonna talk about.

I have a little lightweight stuff that you go.

It's actually very simple engineering,

but it's also very economical.

So behind us, if you're an audio listener,

you won't have seen this, video listeners are confused.

There is a Volkswagen, Lupo,

and it is on Dutch export plates because last

week, when is this video?

Ben, they would have seen the video,

yes.

Yeah.

You would have seen the video that we wanted

to find the most economical car,

so we ended up flying to the Netherlands and

buying a Lupo 3L.

Lupo 3L, it means it uses three liters of

diesel for every hundred kilometers it does.

Translate to about 90mpg.

It's one of my favorite things we've done at C.D.C.

so far.

Yeah.

It's really fun.

And that's 'cause Ben didn't come with.

No, no, no.

We didn't know.

Ben was down

on a very good trip.

I'm stunned by this car.

I love it.

You know what?

I think it's something, Ben,

you can agree or disagree.

Something that Will and I pride ourselves on

is not being soppy about cars.

We deliberately try not to be like,

"Oh, it's so ditty and cute."

And it's a car at the end of the day.

But there's something about this thing

25:00 Volkswagen Lupo 3L and Efficient Driving

I don't even know what the word is.

It's not.

I love it.

I love it.

I don't get it yet.

No, because you don't mean it yet.

That's what I mean is that Samia,

I'm like the audience right now who are like,

"I don't understand it."

I wasn't interested in the video yet.

It would possibly be quite easy to not understand it.

If you went up for a little drive down the

road and you go, "Why on earth do you like this?"

Yeah.

But it's because its first journey was right.

You're being plucked straight out of the Netherlands.

We have no idea what your backstory is.

No idea.

We don't know if you were being used for the

last week or you hadn't been used for the

last six months.

Very back to England, whether you like it or not.

With half a million kilometers on it.

And it just went, "Yeah, it's okay."

(laughs)

Off we go.

It's not like it's a, "I like this because it's crap."

It is crap in some way.

In some way, but it's more than it.

It's just been surprisingly good at every

single thing it's done.

It is, Ben, on the motorway,

silent.

I don't believe it.

It makes no noise.

I don't believe it.

It doesn't rattle.

It doesn't feel unsafe.

I'd say that feels as unsafe or less than the

Clio, on the motorway.

Yeah, it's just normal.

It's just a small car.

It doesn't matter what speed you go into a

roundabout out at, we've tried this.

It will make no tire squeal.

It will just go around the roundabout.

Now you've all seen the video.

Well, some of you would have seen the video.

We averaged like high 70s.

And that was normal driving.

We drove normally, hour and a half of traffic in Antwerp.

And it was still around 77, something like that.

Filming wrapped around Cobham Services,

I would say.

So we had a little stretch of M24.

and a load of back roads.

So it was just Edwin and I.

So we said, "Right."

Now let's put a bit of science into play.

The cameras aren't rolling.

Let's kick this thing's head in and see what

it's allegedly.

Let's simulation in a controlled environment.

We simulated what VMAX would look like.

We did a VMAX and we confirmed it.

And I think there's more legs in it.

Someone thinks there's more legs in it.

Theoretically, there are legs in it.

And then there were some back roads,

absolutely beat the granny out of it.

And then we worked out the NPG when we got back.

back and it did 55 NPG.

Well, when I say track car spec like revs,

we were revving it all the way out on every

change possible.

I'd love to know on track what it would do.

But that's what we may end up trying that.

But so yeah, this car is not going anywhere

for the foreseeable.

I love it.

It's 300,000 miles.

It's ridiculous.

It just looks OK.

Has a lot of dog in there.

Oh, big dog.

I can see.

You can see that the bumper is big scratch that.

But so America right now, looking at this

thing going, we could ever do need that.

But interesting.

I was just something I thought I saw and

thought, Hey, man, but also this car is 76

MPG, but you wouldn't be allowed to make this.

No, no, they would not be allowed.

They would go.

That's not that needs to be a tiny petrol.

It needs to be a one liter.

It needs to be a 0.8.

Well, this is actually relatively some it's

lightweight and a very, very efficient turbo

diesel engine.

And it still does ridiculous.

And it's not you, Les.

Nope, not you, Les.

No, but it will be cheap tax.

We think next up is long boy.

Benters.

Yes.

I can't remember where we were going,

but we're driving along.

We take good pride in in in in spotting good

horses and funeral cars and limos.

And, you know, every now and then you see a

new one, we saw a Mac key that was a little bit boring.

We don't want to see that.

But what we saw the other day was a sort of

modern, a fairly new shape, Bentley flight spur.

Yes, is it?

But it is this, it wasn't a house.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a house that would

have been way cooler, but it had six doors.

It was absolutely, but a proper extended

Bentley flying spur thing.

It was unbelievable.

Now, what's interesting is that I've just put

the plate in to, like a car checker,

and it says Bentley Eagle Flying Spur.

Now, Eagle is a company that makes stretched

limos because that's what Johnny Smith and

Richard Porter have.

An Eagle Quest, which is the Senator,

I think, or an Omega.

So I'm wondering if that's one of them.

Let me see if I can find it.

But honestly, in my head, I knew about all of them.

I know all the limos, they're all the same.

They've kind of all been made.

But there's more to come.

There are more out there.

And I need to know who goes right.

We need, it's a funeral car.

It's very sad.

But what if it was a full duty?

Wow, that would be interesting.

Oh, so there's a market threat,

surely.

Ben, what would you make?

What would you make your heart?

I would make a Honda Beat.

Oh, big long boy.

But it's still only got two seats.

It's just really long.

It would be on the ham and G.

line, one seat per.

Right.

So you have like four seats,

but they're in a row.

Even though it's wide enough for two.

Well, when you're sad, you won't be comfy.

Right.

Is that true?

Is that true?

When you're sad?

Is that what you want most?

Your mum's in the front crying,

right?

She's directly in front of you.

So all you can do is tap her on the shoulder.

But you're not on a beat.

There you go.

Listen to this.

There's just wind in your hair.

Massive roof.

So what would you do?

Look at that.

Wow.

Wow.

That's cool.

Ironically, that is cool.

That seems like the bigger wheels.

I'm assuming it'll be a V8.

Yeah.

V8's not in this one.

He was in the Mayback.

I imagine.

Take the middle row out of seats.

I understand this is why it's here and it

would sort of ruin the second set of doors.

Do you have any leg room?

You have a live flat bed.

Sorry.

I've just seen this as well.

They've got one of these.

They've got a horse flying spur as well.

It's kind of crazy.

That is a big forehead.

What's that?

That's not a sidecar versus it.

That's tough.

You know what?

The E55 Waggle is my ultimate horse.

That's my Least.

That

is a sidecar with what appears to be a horse

on the side.

If you're a motorbike list, that can be good for you.

It

feels odd.

You're not really on the bike,

are you at that

point?

No.

It just kind of like straps to a bike.

Also, it never gets you being pulled in a trailer.

That's like you're going to your funeral in

the the normal car is towing you.

You're a car enthusiast, you're happy to be

behind the car.

It's a tooli.

It's just a random thing we saw and thought

we should talk about this.

I'd have a Mégane.

But it's still got the OMP seats.

So you're strapped in with a cushion and it's

got a harness as well.

You're not going anywhere.

You're not in the coffin.

No, no, I wouldn't know if there is no coffin.

I'd like the E55 where I'm loose.

Make up that.

Who's sat there?

And I'm sat there.

Now, when you say like central C.

I'm not driving position.

McLaren F1 style in the back.

You don't need to extend it that much.

When you say of Pope spec roof.

Okay.

When you say make up that, what would you in

your will, would you ask them to do?

Make up eyes?

Yeah.

Turns out, if I was killed in a gang shooting.

No, no, you're just not.

I just died.

Natural causes.

You're going full glam.

Sure.

But at this age.

A little bit of extra tan.

Was he that tan?

Like the sort of Trump spec tan or parks in the advert.

Oh, I did teeth.

That's right.

I'd say teeth would be great.

And the wildest, like new hair.

Okay.

It's

sort of, it's just very long and it's obviously died.

And

you go, did he look like that?

Yeah.

Enough so that when they go to your wake,

they go, are we at the right?

A sort of my life's best hits.

You're going straight.

It's not how I died.

It's sort of like that might have been what you're doing.

It's like a, it's like a sort of artists rendition.

Okay.

Yeah.

It's a render.

Yeah.

This is what you could have looked like.

Yeah.

This could have been your farm.

And like, you know, when people do that,

it's like a makeup, a makeup,

but and it's like unbelievable contours.

Yeah.

Yeah.

I'll be there.

You'd be like, you'd be straight up.

No, that's, that could be, that could be us.

Yeah, that would be.

Also James then back to it.

He'd be worryingly like me if I did do that.

Give it to him.

Yes.

That's all right.

It's highly frustrating.

So you're going Turkey teeth?

Yeah.

Straight up piano keys.

Again.

Yep.

Absolutely.

Ben, how would they have your,

how would you have your makeup at your,

I'd be full on.

What's that for the audio listeners?

That's like a.

So you'd have your face set in the Riz face.

Yeah, that's a pout.

Yeah.

Okay.

Perfect.

But makeup wise, you haven't.

All right.

Okay.

I'm gonna be, I get my teeth whitened and I

probably have.

No tan.

Bit of tan.

I'm quite pale.

Any legs or arms on show?

I tell them tan.

Ben would be in a pencil dress.

Oh, everyone.

I'm going, I want to be completely shave and

mold and then red lipstick.

That's it.

So anybody that goes there goes,

who's that?

I don't know who that is.

You get that body from up.

That is not.

That is not.

That is not,

that is not my brother.

What are we doing?

Yeah, it's a

great point.

Do you know what this is?

This is a lot like the preamble that we had,

which we were talking about,

our favorite sauce.

sauce mentioned now.

Okay, tell me what your favorite sauce is,

then.

What's your favorite sauce?

It's gravy.

Gravy's my favorite sauce.

Is that a sauce?

Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

It's something you pour on.

Are you sweet or savory?

I'm a savory man through and through.

Sorry, guys.

We do go off the rails every so and so often.

We'll bring it back to cars.

Ben, you're up.

Hi.

First bit of news for me.

Here we go.

I'm going to let you prepare for it.

Do you know what it is?

Say it and I'll find out.

Okay.

It's the Land Rover Freelander is bang.

I'm ready for this.

Let me just pull it up.

Edwin has an image.

He's going to pull up on the screen.

Too late by what's on the screen.

Right.

The Land Rover Freelander has made a return.

Okay.

That's what I was trying to do.

I was trying to store for you to pull it up.

But it's Chinese.

So it's a collaboration between Land Rover

and a company

called Cherry, but with one R.

Cherry, yeah.

So it's Land

Rover Cherry, JLR Cherry, Envilles,

the Freelander Concept 97.

So it's not a production car.

Is that not who owns JLR?

I don't know.

I thought they were over there.

Is it by Gili?

No, no, no, no, no, no.

Tarto.

Yes, yes, yes.

That's the last one I know of.

It's been 20 years ago, I don't know.

Is it Tarto?

Cherry, Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Company

Limited is an automotive manufacturing

company headquartered in Changsu,

China.

A 50/50 joint venture between the UK JLR,

itself a subsidiary of Tarto Motors of India

and Chinese state-owned automaker Cherry.

Is it Cherry or is it Cherry?

It was formed to allow production of Jaguar

Land Rover cars in mainland China.

So the only way they could produce them is by

doing a 50/50 with Cherry.

So this is, I guess, their first yoke collab,

bro.

Can you do something with me?

What's that then?

Can you zoom in right now on the rear quarter?

Yes.

Okay.

Now hold that there.

Now go on to a new tab.

Oh, God.

I'm typing a Rolls Royce Culliman.

Is that real?

That's an actual thing they've released.

Now Ben, for audio listeners,

just for future, if you say the back end of

that looks a lot like a Rolls Royce Culliman.

That does work too.

Yeah, I'm about to say, I want you to pull it

up so people who are watching you can see it as well.

Okay.

Because if you get rid of that,

this is a little like...

But sorry, that Ben really confirmed that

that is the photo that I showed,

or is that some sort of mad render?

That's the photo.

That's the photo.

That's the photo.

That looks like something from Wallace and Gromit.

That does not look real.

That's looking like something...

There you go, Ben.

Now that back end, zoom in on that rear quarter.

Now Ben, now that you've said that,

you know, if you had have said it to me,

I think I would have understood,

but now I think that's a completely different shape.

That doesn't look the same.

Ben is that exactly what you see is the tiny little arch.

That car has a wheel arch.

No, not the arch.

It's above that.

It's the bit where it's the...

What would be like the net?

Here's another one.

That's rough.

Either way, why is there wildlife growing in

the headlight?

There is.

I think that's looking forward to what is

going to happen.

It's like this, because it's a Land Rover.

They go inevitably, there will be more.

There's going to be moss.

There's going to be mold.

So overall, so it's a Japanese mate.

No, Chinese-made, Chinese-only sold.

Oh.

He doesn't have the information.

Well, it's yes.

Well, I'm just trying to find that

information right now.

I'll just get this information in fresh from

Tarii, fresh third in.

Here we are.

Anyway, Cream News, you heard it first.

No, I don't think the Freelander is one of

the last things I've ever...

They haven't specified.

But it's coming in China.

Okay, coming soon to a China near you.

I don't think anyone would buy it here.

I don't think so.

Although the Freelander won sold quite well.

Well, because it kind of looked like a small,

at the end of its life anyway,

it kind of looked like a small Range Rover type.

Yeah.

It was a bit more fancy, wasn't it?

It was kind of the pre-lucity of Vogue.

Yeah.

That's what it was.

What we got next?

But that's back.

Right.

We're so back.

If someone said the Freelander is back,

I just...

No one wanted that.

Yeah.

China.

All yours, buddy.

All yours.

Feel free to keep it.

Next up, Edwin, you've put in here auction waffle.

I think we talked about this.

We talked about this.

I would like to know, right,

we've worked, we're potentially going to work

with some auction houses soon,

and we've got some ins with buying cars or

auctions, looking at them auctions.

Why do auctions feel the need to give me a

Wikipedia page?

Oh, car.

You go to look at a car, let's say it's the

TVR, and instead of giving you information,

valuable information about the car,

you're looking to buy, which you cannot

drive, you cannot speak to the owner,

you can't do any of that sort of stuff.

It goes, In 1932, Mr.

TVR himself was born.

He was born to a small family.

They were hard.

I don't care.

I don't need this.

Don't tell me about the history of a car.

Guess what?

If I'm interested in buying this car,

I know about this car.

I didn't need you.

I didn't go.

I fancy a TVR Tuscan.

And they go on the auction page and go,

bloody hell, he's got a sick cylinder.

I don't know.

TVR, British man company.

It's a British man.

Amazing.

And they made them from 1990.

Don't care.

Tell me about this car.

Ask them what the tires like.

Don't know.

Can't speak to the owner.

Don't even know if it's calm.

Literally the car, the auction for that one

is this car has been well maintained a bit slight.

I'm reading through the one.

Enjoy.

I don't know if this is where it came from.

I'm not going to read it out because it would

reveal too many things.

But it is like that.

There are.

That is an entire paragraph.

And that's to do with none of this so far is

about the specific car.

It just says, yeah, it was, you know,

the engine traces it.

It's the niche back to 1960.

'64.

It has a roof height of just 1.2 meters.

It's got the name was from, from blah,

blah, blah.

None of this is about the car.

Then you get to the bottom.

It goes, it'll probably say an exciting

opportunity to own a, to own a perished

something or other.

So like, that is one of the things that annoys me.

It gets me really angry.

Yeah.

I don't, I don't need this.

Yeah.

I know this.

Yeah.

And no one else who's bidding needs this.

I realized I've I've been there.

What's that?

What previous job?

This is a thing.

When we worked together at this job,

but when I early on, I was basically doing

copyright stuff, writing auction,

would you call it, description basically,

fluff.

And sometimes it is because maybe it is this,

this is the case sometimes is that they don't

have the information.

No, this is a 1999, which is just before the

year 2000, which by the way,

was the breaking of the millennium.

Ah, the millennium.

live.

Go away and give me the information about the

car I want to buy is a credit.

Sometimes it feels like it's that.

And there's also this, there's this desire to

be like, I have to sell it.

Yeah.

But surely the most of the people looking at

a car at an auction, they probably know what

they're looking for.

So nothing in that description is going to sell me.

Hold on.

I want to point to me, a roof height.

That's the exact time I garage.

I'm absolutely, it's not like it's not,

they almost sell it as if you are a complete

random going into a showroom.

going, you're going to Ford,

you have no idea about cars or what's for sale.

And you go, right, here are my requirements.

And they go, the Ford Focus is a five-door

hatchback with a 37-litre boot.

You go, you know what?

That's actually fantastic.

Sounds great.

I'm looking for it.

I'll take it.

If you're going to an auction,

you kind of already know what you're looking for.

Yeah.

So it's like, just give me the stuff I really

need to know.

Does it have an MOT?

When was it selling?

In the engine.

Does the engine run, Ben?

What's that?

What's happening then?

I would check that.

No.

Piedle, a fluff.

A round of the week annoyed me.

Yeah.

If you write those, do them a little bit better.

So if you don't have the information,

just leave it blank.

Just say it.

Just say it.

I don't know.

Do you know what works really well?

More information to come.

It doesn't matter if it doesn't.

It gets to where the auction starts.

More information to come.

Okay.

Information is about fantastic.

Next up, Ben.

Yeah.

This alarmed me when I saw it.

Uh oh.

1998 Honda CBR for sale.

Yeah.

What does this mean?

Yeah.

There's one for sale.

Edwin, can you put the first photo?

of, um, I think it's you.

Oh, you've sent it to me?

Where's that then?

That's going to be on slack.

I think it's your fault.

Thanks, man.

That's a, no, that's a window into our

everyday life, which, okay, you've sent me

some other things.

You can show those two.

Okay.

I can see where it's going.

Are they all showable?

Um, they are.

I will.

I'll do.

I'll just show the two that are relevant.

Yeah.

That's fair.

We've already seen good, but I'll find the

CDR as a motorbike.

Correct.

Yeah.

It's for sale.

And it's thanks to the market base.

And that's a 1998 one.

When was it made roughly?

Who designed it?

I don't.

How tall is it?

I don't know.

No, someone sent me this one.

Is it?

Is it an exciting?

opportunity to get yourself straddled over

the tank of the

CDR?

Here we go.

That's a fantastic looking motorcycle.

That is absolutely definitely a motorcycle as well.

So that's the last, well, that appears to be,

hold on, that's the last photo in the,

in the whole, what's cool?

That's just a photo of it.

That was a nice one.

Well, I mean, I thought, so you can see on me

on the listing, this is the last photo,

right?

You've scrolled through all eight.

The, the, the, well, that is a good

representation of the motorbike.

I'd expect that one first.

Yeah, yeah, so, so this is the first one.

Okay, that's a duck.

(laughing) No, that's a duckling.

It's a duckling taken from, you know,

a high angle.

He has the high ground in that photo.

But, but it's been, it's been slashed in price.

Is that such a cheap one?

Yeah, it actually looks like he's verbally

abused that duck.

Yeah, it looks quite sad.

Has, does anyone know the price of ducks?

Is that cheap for a duck?

1275.

I'd say that's pretty expensive for a duck.

But it was 1450.

So it's down.

Yes, down.

So do you get it with the bike?

Is that, does that?

I don't know.

Could that be negotiated in?

But it says it's in Cornwall.

Okay.

Is it false advertising?

If you don't get it.

There probably is a duck.

Is it, are they native to Cornwall?

I feel like you're sort of having Cornwall.

I feel like that's not, I think that's too

beachy for a duck.

Ducks love beaches.

I think they famously love ponds.

Ducks are a sort of, they're not city birds,

are they?

Do you see ducks by the beach all the time?

Do you, I can't recall the last time I've

seen a duck by the beach.

I've seen a duck by the beach.

That is confusing it with possibly a seagull.

I think that, I would agree.

That seagull, that duck is massive.

Look at that funny white big duck.

That massive white duck just stole that guy's chips.

(laughs) Ben seeing any bird body.

That's a duck, isn't it?

That certainly changes.

It's a condor.

I don't know a duck building like that.

Any other photos in there?

No, just a duck and some, but A is mostly

bike, but there is a lot of a duck in there.

Lovely.

What kind of duck is that?

That's the first photo.

Yeah, that's my biggest issue.

That's the one that would stop you from scrolling.

What's alarming here is, if it was,

he's just listed it, or she,

whoever this is, the person has just listed

it, and you go, "Oh, bloody,

oogas, happens that my duck photography has

accidentally gone out on Facebook."

Of course.

He's reduced the price.

He's been in there.

He's seen the thumbnail and gone.

That's my duck for sale.

Also, he's reduced the price because he's

not, "I haven't had any."

No one's interested in the interest.

Why is nobody interested in my race advice?

No, the description says, "Honda Super

Blackbird for sale."

No, it's a gray bird, but we're getting close.

Right, okay.

a crow or something?

I still don't think it beats the curry.

No, not at all.

That was still the one.

The one with the eggs in it.

The eggs in it, my favorite.

And then the bonbons as well.

I think what we should probably do at some

point in a podcast in the near future,

possibly this year, is we will collate them all.

Yes.

Go through them and just get all the best ones.

Because some of you guys have sent us some

that we haven't talked about,

and they are elite level.

They really are.

Some of them are actual pictures of possibly

family members.

We have to blur it, but it's funny.

A lot of them are mostly just Ben.

Trying to sell things.

We got that next up.

Yeah, we have Ben's video idea.

Saw this there.

Now, we will recall that two or three weeks

ago, we had talked about a video that both

Will and I wanted to do, and that we each

knew what it was.

We weren't telling each other,

but we had kind of worked out.

It was the same idea.

Ben didn't know.

Ben had to, we didn't ask last week.

Ben, you have one chance to just come up with

an idea, and we will tell you whether it is or not.

I think it is a car that you've lost.

Sorry, you specific, please.

I don't know.

Otherwise you can go, I think it's a video

we'll film on cars.

Wait, let me just

46:13 Video Idea Guessing Game

say it, then you can ask about the car.

No.

I think it's a car.

If you get it right, we have to say.

If it's like, bang on, bang on.

Okay.

Which is why it has to be specific.

It is a car you both want to drive.

I don't know.

I'm not listening any further.

It's a McLaren F1.

Okay.

It's there.

And you, I get to decide.

Which one of you gets to drive it?

No.

Wrong.

We'll say no.

Am I close at all?

Uh, I can't tell you that at all.

That's the, that defeats the entire purpose

of the game.

So I'm just going to guess.

Next week, you'll be back with a new video idea.

I think I was going to video idea though.

I think the thing is that I don't think it's terrible.

I'd love that.

That would be quite nice.

No, but only one of you gets to drive it.

And the other one cannot drive it.

Okay.

That's, well, that's actually got cruel.

Yeah.

That's why I'm involved because I have to choose.

That's why you can drive it.

You're my idea.

You're my involved.

Wow.

Terrible.

You can be involved.

I don't understand.

Now, that's made it even worse,

mate.

Ben, take another week to think about it,

mate.

Wait, but what?

No, there's no way.

No, there's no way.

No, we will take no more questions.

We will take no more questions.

We will take no more questions.

How can it be the same idea?

Dick cut Ben's mic off here.

Will.

Wait, what are we going to talk about today?

Edwin, you said here, big man like MG.

That's the big man like MG.

I've got a dozen of them because a deck's cut your mic.

So it's mostly us that people can hear.

It'll be completely fine to simply a distant

echo at this stage.

So anyway.

How is it the same video idea?

How is it the same idea for both of you?

I will say that.

There's a technicality there.

It's not the same idea.

We know it's roughly the core video,

but there are differences.

So perhaps you get to, oh, how would you go about this?

Perhaps we get a guess each,

but as in one of us could confirm whether

it's our idea.

Okay, but it is not.

It's not mine either.

Okay.

So you're still at the same stage that you were?

Right.

I would like to talk about a Chinese car.

Is it the Land Rover Freelander that's just

been released?

It's an MG.

Is it?

No, but this is, it's not interesting.

So let's move on.

No, it is called an IMLS9 MG.

Oh, sort of affectionately named.

Exactly.

I'm going to pull up a photo of it.

It's like a van thing.

But the reason I got started with this is

because it said like it can do 1600 kilometer of 70.

I love a Kia.

But what it does have, there are two,

there are two weird things about it.

A, that yeah, I got one of the things I got

served about it was like it can fit 44

luggage is in it.

And I was like, that's kind of interesting.

And then it cut to a shot and they just

filled the whole interior to the bridge.

So you would.

I can't, I don't think we drive a seat,

but the entire back end of the car for that's

not how that works.

Also not, not a selling point because no one does that.

You can't do that.

You can't say that's like me saying in a

convertible, mate, you could fit anything.

in this.

Yeah, right.

A skyscraper going back to you.

Honestly, infinite, you know,

as long as there's a suspension can handle it.

But hang up, the boot can't just take 44

luggage is as they are.

That's not what it was.

So it seats down it like floor to ceiling

floor to ceiling full.

Okay.

So in that case, then what one or two people

could be in that car?

Well, a driver, at least.

Okay.

Yeah.

So that put that is implying that one person

is bringing 44 bags a whole day.

Put stuff in the passenger seat,

dangerous.

And you can't see how to win there.

It's true.

So two people are taking 20 two bags each.

Yeah.

Yep.

That's doesn't make any sense.

Now big holiday, like a huge holiday.

Like moving away time level.

Sort of like a nuclear disaster movie.

Everyone's fleeing town type.

But you've got 600 kilometers of range so you

can get away.

Now, I'm seeing something else.

What's that, then?

The monoblocks.

The, the, the, the, the vision ahead.

Oh, the wheels.

I thought you were going to talk about that.

No, the wheels.

Yeah.

They look at, they're looking like,

so this car is out.

I think it's November.

This car came out, but it has something.

I'm going to show you a photo.

Right.

We talked in of previous episode about new

options, new optional extras.

Sure.

About the S-class.

I think it was.

You mustn't laugh.

A shower.

That's a shower.

Don't you zoom in?

Yeah, that is an option.

Why?

What do you want to see?

We're trying to get a peat.

People can see it.

People are watching.

That is a shower that is an optional extra.

He has stepped out of there,

drawing himself in quite an interesting

fashion, fully closed.

Now, supposedly, his hair looks quite dry in

his distance.

I had a quick look up online that said,

critics have questioned the practicality of

these features.

Some point out that a 10 litre water tank is

too small for a full shower.

We're talking about cars, man.

It has a 10 litre water tank.

10 litre shower.

And surely that's not in place.

It's not as well as 75 luggage.

No, that can't be.

But do you know what it does have?

Underfloor heating.

I think we actually talked about that at some

point, but it has underfloor heating.

What use is that?

It wouldn't, the floor.

I'll show you a photo here.

Look at that.

There you go.

Oh, wow.

It's supposed to be like one of those kind of

a little bit luxury big seats in the back,

lazy boy type thing.

And it's got a liner on it.

Now, I listen.

Go down being cute, get yourself some new

flooring for it.

I listen to a Doug DeMiro podcast.

Why?

The fraternizing with the enemy.

He was not wearing shoes.

I listen to that the other day.

And he said, he made a point saying that.

Well, that's how they get the luggage in,

isn't it?

That's, yeah.

So this is what the car looks like completely flat.

Yeah.

If you put all the seats, it's fully flat.

That's what it looks like.

I guess it's them trying to show off the interior.

Also, it has just maybe a 42-inch screen.

It's just a quite a big TV just in the back,

BMW 7 Series style.

But the traditional shape of a TV,

which means people in the back,

not saying what's that, the windscreen.

Oh, that's good.

Sorry, Ben, you were saying.

Don't DeMiro was talking, speaking.

He was saying, and I won't listen to it.

I didn't agree with this at all.

But he was saying, basically,

in the future, what are cars being marketed on?

What options are there?

And he said, well, they're going to be and

become self-driving, so sky's a limit.

It could be a fish tank, it could be a

cinema, it could be this, it could be that.

Double bed.

And we're already seeing it happen,

because they're marketing that car,

an underfloor heating and a shower.

And people go, I want that car,

I want that car.

Yeah, I know, but you have to think about,

that's how they're being marketed.

But what do people actually want

and need?

But what do you want?

Okay, well then in that case,

food, water and shelter.

Ever.

Ben's cracked it.

Have you ever actually thought,

while driving, perfect, if I could pull over

and have a shower?

I bet you Ben has.

Have you ever been, even if you had that

thought prepared to have a shower?

Well look, you've got my towel in my head.

You have no shower, so why would you be prepared?

That's like me coming to work today with my wash gear.

So you would have a shower and put it at the

car and you go, would you pull over at the

side of the M4?

Just, why's a quick shower?

What I would do though, is when I have like a

big couple of days here, I would stay here in

my car and then the more I could get fresh.

Okay.

You sleep in that car?

I sleep in the car.

I don't think you do that.

In that car, look how flat the seats went.

It's still, the car is still a private

transportation device, like first,

foremost and almost

solely in terms of, would you then say that

the airplanes

that have those crazy things where they have

showers and light out beds and stuff is not worth it?

Because if you're not driving,

if it's self-driving, it's the same thing as a plane.

is true.

And I have a tower commute, so I would have a nap.

What would you do?

In a cell shower?

You can't shower when you're in the car,

though.

No, it's out the boot, so you get,

it has to stop.

It has to stop.

Okay, I would have a shower then.

I would have a flat bed.

You'd have a full...

Tonight, after the podcast, what time is it?

What time is it?

Almost eight o'clock.

Almost eight o'clock.

So, by the time I get home tonight,

it's going to be probably half past 10.

Right?

Get a couple of hours in beforehand.

Couple of hours.

Seriously, before you get the car.

No, again, the car, two hours of sleep.

All I do is get home.

The car parks in the driveway,

walk out of the car, into the house,

into the bed, sleep.

Here's my question for you.

Right.

You do that.

Get in the car, go to sleep.

Couple of hours, wake up, realise you've got

to set it at home.

You're still here.

I'm in the nest.

No, you're just asleep here.

Well, you have to do with your charge.

It's the middle of the airport.

I have a concert.

So, you have perhaps a driver.

Like a flight attendant when you go on a long

haul flight.

Right.

And they're just there.

Would you like breakfast?

Yeah.

They're there.

Would you like to wake up?

Yeah.

Just wait for a flight attendant.

And they awkwardly sort of like tap you and

go breakfast time.

Excuse me, sir.

Yeah.

And they pull up the window and it's all bright outside.

Yeah, you are amazing.

I think what we're just getting into now is

just what rich people have, which is a driver.

Yeah.

So Ben, I don't have a sink.

Okay.

For what?

Washing your hands.

Sometimes my hands feel a bit grubby in the car.

Why is that?

I don't know.

I don't know.

But they were clean at the beginning of the trip.

Yeah.

I'm with you.

I think it's steering wheel grub.

Okay.

Clean steering wheel grub.

You know, but then you have to keep cleaning

the steering wheel.

Whereas if I had a sink and like some--

So you'd never need to clean the sink?

No.

No, that would-- That would be serviceable item.

No, it's a great point, because who's going

to clean the shower and the sink?

Well, it's a serviceable item.

No, you have to hire a cleaner.

Not all people clean their own showers,

Ben.

No, I know that, but what I'm saying is that

like, in a car that fans the younger cleaner

in shower, it's very affordable.

I don't know, I didn't check.

There we go, then.

Here's what I have.

I've gone.

I was going to say bidet.

I'm going to spend two hours--

But I've dialed the back from there,

because I realized there's, you know,

it's not really going to use that.

But a toilet-- Toilet would be young.

One of Japanese toilets that--

A toilet would be-- A toilet would be--

A toilet in a car that actually had an

effective place to store it,

where it's not sticking up in batteries in an

electric car.

Exactly.

Look, it would work.

If you're doing a long journey,

it's the amount of time that was saved.

Just pissing straight into the seat.

You can do that now.

It's just not like, oh, it's stored in the foam.

God.

But just imagine a hole.

I don't think it could function like a normal toilet.

Because it would smell.

I don't want it to smell like a--

Oh, my God.

Smell like a service is.

He just had that lemony cleaner smell.

But I don't believe that that would be you

that would cause that.

Because the services smell is always caused

by other people.

People.

I don't think that's true.

So you're telling me that you've stuck out of services.

No, but I think you're disregarding yourself

completely from the situation,

which I don't think is fair.

You're saying I don't smell my shit,

those things.

Yeah.

No, I wouldn't poop in the car.

And outcast

have something to say about that.

No, actually.

I wouldn't

poop in the car.

How do you want?

Oh.

Pooping in the car is, I didn't think of that.

I was purely thinking of piss.

Because-- Oh, how we managed to get back to this?

Certainly, it's concentration,

quite compromised.

You do have your attempt to--

But you do have a steering wheel to

hold on to.

Which would be welcome, actually.

You're not

driving itself, it's not driving.

I'll get to also get in

traffic.

Get pulled over.

Right.

OK.

OK.

So, once and two is difficult in the car,

because you need to be wearing a

skirt.

I love the idea that a policeman pulls you

over, walks up the window, knocks on it.

I don't think there is.

I'm going to go one minute, someone's in it.

Also, buying a used car.

Is that being cleaned?

Like, has that system been cleaned?

Please tell me that has been cleaned.

No, I wouldn't want it to be part of my seat,

though.

It has to be a separate thing.

So, I want to have you walk to a toilet in

the back and sit down.

OK.

So, basically, you can't like an RV.

is what you're essentially saying.

A cubicle for you to go to.

Yeah, but bigger than that.

OK.

Because that's like, you know,

pooping in a cupboard.

Famously hard.

Right.

Let's move on before we lose all of the listeners.

What we got next?

Next up, oh.

Here we go.

Oh, 36GTR, you say, Benjamin.

They have confirmed it.

It's confirmed.

There is an early development.

Wow.

Now, tell me about it.

It will be a

58:25 Nissan GT-R Hybrid Rumors

hybrid.

OK, that's fine.

That's fine.

I'm, you know what?

I'm OK with it.

Who knows anything because all they've said

is we might make this.

Well, hold on, Mike, you said it's confirmed.

Sorry.

We have confirmed that we might make this.

We've confirmed.

We'll think about it.

So it's an all-new hybridized platform.

All-new.

So VR38 gone.

OK.

So in the very early stages,

that's a quote, early stages.

And a very rough timeline is going to be

possibly 2028 at the earliest,

you'd see something.

OK.

Probably 20th time.

Yeah.

Well, yeah.

86.

That would be 20 years.

Exactly.

That's like GT6.

Everyone thought they were making it since 2013.

They haven't been making it,

apparently.

No, no, no, because they were doing Red Dead Redemption.

They had other stuff.

Yeah, they were on the cash tie.

No, no, that doesn't work.

It doesn't work like that.

What were you working on?

Oh, the R35.

Yeah.

I know.

But I know that, like, what are you doing about that?

Those lights, mate, they took a while.

Well, you know, we had to do the R35 again,

didn't we?

Yeah.

We have to keep doing that.

If you always work with no break,

you'll get burnout.

It's true.

That's it.

burnout, burnout.

I don't feel excited about it.

Why?

I think...

I just don't.

If it can do...

Now, I actually think this.

The Skyline and GTR have always been very

good at being, like, related evolution-wise

to each other, looks-wise, in a good way.

Not in a 911 way, which is, like,

a little bit different.

They go, "Let's make it look boxy like a Hakosuka.

Let's make it..."

If they can make it, the best hits,

but not make it a tribute act.

Wow, that's a...

Yeah.

And you think they will?

I think they can do it.

I think it will look completely different.

I think that as well.

Because the O35 was quite...

I guess maybe because they went with a

different engine and stuff.

Like, it has, like, the rear lights and a

couple of designers.

The front end is very R34.

The front end with the lights,

they're completely different.

The lights are different like the light chain.

His grill is R34 GTR.

Yeah.

That's true.

So, if there is some sort of...

Because I wonder as well, if they look at the

the obsession now with R32, 3,

and 4 and go, we need to cash in on this.

Do we make it retro-style like a 34?

See, I think that would be a mistake.

I kind of think so too, but I kind of like

how it looked.

If it looks like some of the renders I've

seen, some of the renders I've seen is cool.

But it looks like an R35 that someone's tried

to make them look like a 4.

I don't even think they know yet.

I'd hope that they have this kind of some sort of...

Well, they're probably also making some early

sketches, but I don't think they'd have it nailed down.

Also, when you're planning that far ahead,

they're

going to have to be in all the platforms.

So they're

going to make a new engine for it,

which is good.

I like

that.

That's going to be cool.

But if they come out and say

this is going to be a four cylinder with a

hybrid or it's some tiny view.

It has to be a six cylinder,

really.

It has to be.

Hey, it

could be cool.

I don't think it should be.

Because the GTR

over it's like with R35 over it's life got

more and more

expensive.

It started out as I think I'm a 50k,

which with

inflation is probably still quite expensive.

But it was like, this thing is ridiculously capable.

But it's 9/11 turbo fast for a fraction of the price.

But then as it got older and they started

adding more stuff, it actually got quite expensive.

And it was essentially 100 grand plus car at that point.

So they're going to be re-entering at that level.

It's going to be like when the NSX came out

again, and it's going to be like,

this is almost a super car.

It's hard for them now to go back and make it

a skyline GTR again.

So I looked at, I saw another thing about it,

which isn't confirmed.

And this could be fabrication.

Apparently they want to price it below super car level.

So whatever 100 grand was, five or six,

seven, eight, but in that level.

So probably call it something comparable to a monolift.

That's what it kind of, that is,

it kind of needs to do the same thing again.

It needs to be comparable in performance to

whatever the 911 turbo is.

But at the price.

But it's not that the R35 managed it pretty,

pretty well.

But it was your, you know, the interior is

not as nice and it doesn't look as luxurious.

I wonder if they then use that,

the hybrid is a crutch then for that.

To be like, that's why it's not a 16 2.1.

Then that means they don't have to try as

hard on the engine.

Because they're like, well, I would just let

the hybrid do, pick up all of the bloody engine,

please.

Hand built by some thoughtful fellows,

please.

Be nice.

That's what, but I'm just not excited about

it because I know new car excites me.

Do not.

But that's the best way to be.

If there's no hype, you can be pleasantly surprised.

Whereas if you're not, you'll go,

yeah, I thought so.

What I do kind of like the idea of is the,

I think it was this week, maybe we'll talk

about it next week, they have now confirmed

the four-cylinder two-liter that makes 400

and something horsepower for the new sports car.

So that'll be MR2 Celica.

Yeah, so they've said two-liter making 400

horsepower from the factory.

That's cool.

That's cool.

We're coming like Evo Spec.

That's what we need, is that more of that stuff.

Cool things.

Do things, please do try things.

What we got next?

We have, this is a car podcast.

Edwin has asked to talk about a Ralph Lauren advert.

I have, and I'm gonna put it up here for the

audio listeners.

We'll do an explanation.

Will, I'm pulling up the video here.

Here we go.

We're coming right live.

Yep, that is a blue sky with a,

that sort of YouTube thumbnail spec,

green grass, bit blue sky, bit C as well.

Yeah.

Perhaps it's Microsoft XP background.

Yeah, pretty much, but a little bit less.

Playing it for you now.

That was a, what was that?

Yeah, that was a rough, is it a CTR or something?

Correct.

I think it's a CCR 3.

Which is the Carrera GT looking,

but not, it's based on an island still.

It's like their own supercar type.

In just a Ralph Lauren, I got served it on YouTube.

It was a pre-roll ad.

I clicked on it and I was, as I was clicking

skip, I, as I clicked skip it,

flashed in half a frame and I went,

what?

How did that come to be?

How, that's my question.

Yeah.

It is a Ralph Lauren ad for fancy rich people

wearing fancy rich clothes, but there is a

roof doing like a transition,

like it transitions behind them,

but who went, yo mate, you know what you

should do, you should get a CTR3.

What's going on?

Who's thought of that?

I don't know how, what numbers here,

but they're not very common.

No, not at all.

Let's have a look, how many built there are.

So that's like seven.

Seven.

Again, I'm sorry.

It's more likely to see a McLaren F1.

37 total.

Normal ones, and then 17 club sport specification.

Where did that come from?

Is it his?

Expensive?

Is he dead?

No, I think he's still alive,

and he does have an incredible car collection.

No, this is, it could very well be.

But it's just a weird request,

they go, "We need a car for this."

And he goes, "Well, the roof's available."

Maybe he said, "Go on then, have a go."

What they actually said was,

"I've got a red Porsche, just go down to the garage."

Yep.

It'd just be that one there,

and he was actually talking about like a 997 cab.

Yeah, he went and then he went,

"Oh, no."

That one looks good, we'll take that.

Must be nice.

AI, Google AI, says prices from one to 1.5 at the moment.

There's one listed 900,000 pounds right now.

Supposedly.

Someone was trying to get that one,

written off on the business.

Used it in advert.

Did not flash it by.

Yeah, that's wild, I've not seen that.

That's silly.

I thought that it would be a good question

for the creamers.

What's the most unexpected car in advert?

I remember there was a confused.com or go

compare, they rolled an E28.

They like mashed up an E28 and I remember

they'd be like, "Why?"

Why?

It was no need for that.

It's where they're coming from.

Yeah.

Obviously someone is sourcing them or there's

an agency or something, but like who went,

right, that's the one we need to check.

Is there a reason for it or was it totally random?

Was that completely random or is there

someone who liked cars in the crew and went,

"I'll get you something."

They just saw the list and went,

"I have to do clothes every day."

He said, "Oh, there's a rough CTR."

and then they went, "Oh, there we go that."

I'll drive it.

I'll drive it.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Next up, Antark to Command.

There is a man from Antark to Command.

The world's coldest superhero.

Let me pull up the email.

Creamer of the Week goes to Joe.

I'm not gonna say your last name in case

you'd like it, not said Joe.

Yep, not our editor, Joe.

Different one, sure.

Morning chaps.

Happy Easter to those that celebrate.

A big fan of the big fan since the early creamerings.

I thought I'd just put an email together

saying, I'm listening in Antarctica at the

rather a research station during a very bad snowstorm.

Just thought I'd let you know you've reached

the seventh continent.

Picture attached of my project vehicle down

here, and then he has attached a JCB digger

that is scooping snow.

Shout out, Joe.

That's a crazy one.

That's a crazy one.

Now, does that mean that we've touched all continents?

You have.

What does that mean?

I don't know.

That's not the fit for that feel.

Your voice has reached every continent.

We've echoed down to Antarctica.

Penguins have heard us.

Essentially, would you have to hang out with him?

How loud was he playing the podcast?

Could be out on some speakers.

Entirely possible.

Maybe he sat there in the snow,

don't know how cold it gets,

I assume quite.

That's possibly the cold.

That's possibly the coldest screaming.

Oh yeah, by far, that's ice cream.

But then again, wow, if he's inside the

research center, could be hot.

I would still say there's probably an

overbearing chill to the whole kind of operation.

Do you think, I think inside it's probably

almost too hot at times.

I wouldn't say so.

Is it Joe?

Joe?

Can you email us again and tell us how hot it

is inside your...

Again, this is how we communicate with the viewers.

Yeah, yeah.

Only three else.

The response is only through this.

And did any penguins or polar bears here?

Okay.

I'm likely on the polar bears,

I'm gonna give a say.

And if we've heard anyone else who's had a

remote creaming.

Yes.

I don't mean like if you're thinking,

oh, I went to Zante and listened to it.

No, that's not remote.

Corners of the world.

Look at this as an example.

This is the benchmark.

I'm not saying you need to exceed it if you can.

Great, but not with the moon.

Artemis II.

I doubt it.

No.

I think I like to.

They had some clever folk listening.

They had 40 minutes to listen,

don't you know?

They had 40 minutes where they went behind

the dark side of the moon, crap,

and they couldn't, they couldn't communicate with us.

So they needed some of the podcasts.

So they had the cream podcast going,

download on Spotify.

Lovely.

I love that, I love that.

In space, that would be amazing.

In space.

In no one can hear you cream.

Lovely.

I knew it was covered.

Very good.

But from the people in the space crowd.

Yeah, we're listening, definitely.

Yeah, you don't want to listen to it.

'Cause we're talking about pissing into a castle.

This one's about urinals, is it?

Fantastic.

I'm gonna talk about very quickly,

'cause I know not all of, not all creamers

are gamers, and not all gamers are creamers.

Behind us, playing on the TV is Forza Horizon

6 pre-release footage.

This is from Game Riot, Shoutout,

Game Riot.

They've got a video up of some gameplay of it.

That's what's playing in the background.

It's not far away now.

End of May, right?

Sure.

That's what it is.

1:10:03 Forza Horizon 6 Pre-Release Footage Discussion

It's the middle of May.

Oh, middle of May.

Yeah.

But cool.

Thoughts?

I'm gonna be honest.

It looks a lot like the other ones.

It does.

It really doesn't.

It doesn't have a, if you look at Horizon 1

and Horizon 2, and a little bit of Horizon 3,

they each have a visible vibe.

It's different.

If you told me this was Horizon 4 or 5,

or 6, I wouldn't, no, it's 6.

Yeah.

Thank you.

I appreciate it.

I'll put you in the line.

But so by the time this comes out,

you'll be a little bit closer,

and maybe there will be more footage,

but this is new to us today.

The miles per hour, though, on the speed up

the bottom, different font.

No way.

Different font.

That's different.

I was playing Horizon 5 the other day,

and it's different font.

It's a couple of years that.

Have the best car games been made?

I think so.

This is old man spec stuff again,

but I think that's also true.

I believe so.

I think that's true.

I think that's true.

And I also believe part of that is because

graphics, the, the, the gulf between real

life and graphics is getting smaller and

smaller, which means you can't evolve it that much more.

But then this doesn't look any different for

the Horizon 5 graphics wise.

That's what I'm saying.

That's my point.

That's why it will guys inherently look,

feel similar.

Whereas if you go ahead and you play need for

speed most wanted, and then you play,

you play pro street, that's fair.

There's, you can see there's a jump.

It looks better.

And then it looks better and better.

So it feels different.

Whereas that feels the same.

It still doesn't look real.

Like it, I'm not saying I'm not impressed by it.

It looks good, but it doesn't look I wouldn't

look at that and go, "That's a video."

Well, how would you know?

Because how often are you driving in

third person?

Regularly.

Well, no, I mean like trees and ground and lighting.

Okay.

That was pretty real.

If you show that to someone,

if you show that to my dad, he'd go,

"I'm sure that's kind of your rendering in."

Yeah, so Forza 6, we will monitor your career.

And we'll play it.

Yes, we will.

We'll give it a go.

Surely.

We'll have a look.

That influencer bullshit game.

Yes, we look, we know we're car influencers,

we know better than any of the rest,

but we do like this trend where you see it on

Instagram a lot.

The most mundane shit car on earth will be

told that it actually has, there's actually a

reason why we're all missing out.

It's all the thinking man's car.

So we've come up with a game.

I'm gonna say a car, Will, you have to give

me the intro to why this car is actually not

mundane and shit.

It's actually very special.

I would like, please, a completely standard.

Of course.

Base model.

I've got it.

Ford KA.

Oh, so come.

Which generation, please?

First generation.

Oh, you know what, actually?

It's actually quite a good car.

That doesn't sound like I wouldn't take it on the car.

I wouldn't take it on the car.

Let me say, if it was me, I'd want the sport car.

Because you would, wouldn't you?

No, but this isn't an intro.

I need an intro to one of these videos.

Go.

The sport car, which is is how you set,

by the way, my knee is bent and my leg is bent.

My leg foot is on the tire.

Okay, you're, you're, you're.

I'm narrating.

I forget what the name is.

I'm giving Matt.

What?

Can't remember his name.

Wood foot.

Yes, that's it.

The Ford KA is, is, is, is, is like a little bug.

You want to squash it.

You really, really do.

But realistically, you want to let it into

your home and let it into your heart because

this is the car to go for.

What?

You may want the...

Shut the f...

No, I'm going to talk about it.

That's part of the video.

I'm going to comment.

No, no, this is the '90s.

You can't comment.

This is, you can't comment.

No, no, hold on, hold on.

Hold on, hold on.

This is the Ford KA.

This is now.

This is the Thinking Man's Sport KA.

Oh, okay.

I like that.

This is my start.

I like this.

Do we know the Thinking Man?

Does anyone know that he knows who the

Thinking Man is?

Who is the Thinker?

Who is the Thinker?

Who is the Thinker?

Anyway, I'll tell you why it's the Thinking Man's KA.

It might be slower.

Yeah.

Shitter to look at.

Yeah.

Shitter inside.

No options and really quite rusty now as well.

But it is the Thinking Man Sport KA.

You don't want the fast one.

You don't want the good one.

You don't want leather seats.

You don't want heated seats.

You want pure basic.

You just want to live life as if you were a caveman.

Think back.

Think back to when you were a caveman and you

were at your basics.

Eating leaves, bugs, trees, wood.

That's all you need.

You don't need steak.

You don't need suits.

You don't need cream.

All you need are the basics in life.

And that is what the Ford KA does for us.

The car.

Ford car.

That's how you pronounce it.

Lovely.

I want Ben.

Mind you, Will, couldn't you give one to Ben?

Oh, you're my car.

Oh, God.

Yeah, we're

just going to come up with the car on the spot.

I think

that's how this game works.

Sorry, I got one.

It doesn't

have to, basically.

It can be anything.

I'm going to give

you a sort of a Land Rover Freelander.

2000s mid 2000s.

Got it.

Go, lock it.

Easy.

Right.

I'm going to start off with a front three quarter shop.

I'm going to arrive into frame somehow.

Even if I'm going to drive in and do quite a

big stop or I'm going to pop out from behind,

I'm going to pop into frame.

Can we do one more thing to mine?

Yeah.

My final shop will be delivered

1:15:21 Land Rover Freelander Review Script

looking into a mirror.

Oh, I like that.

But the sort of curved mirror.

Yeah, I like that.

I like that.

Right.

So start my film.

It drives in.

It drives in with the window open.

Quite a harsh stop for some reason.

I'm going to pitch a question.

Oh, I like it.

Because the question is hooked you in.

I'm going to say, is this really the car that

people in Chelsea and Kensington should have

been driving around in?

I love it.

So I'm investing.

Yeah, I'm investing.

And then I'll talk about some Espílla,

but I'm not going to do the exact wording.

No, no, you need the exact wording.

Okay.

I'm going to say, I'm going to say,

well, in the 90s, well, no.

Sorry.

Okay.

In the 2000s.

Well, you were all driving around in your L32

and this and this.

in your better, the humble man bought the Freelander.

Very good.

And I thought you've actually got this to a tee.

And while pulling up at your local Kensington

pub would not have been as flashy,

you certainly would have done it with more

value in your pocket.

And then we would have got into some...

Perhaps you could have made a comparison to

what the man was wearing.

Yes.

Exactly.

I like it.

It's much like-- Flash Rolex.

You've been wearing a Casio.

Or perhaps you weren't wearing a wash at all.

No.

Do you know what it was?

Well, everyone else is sipping on their 10

pound pints with their Rolexes.

You have a humble saco and a glass of water.

Nice.

And would you say that it's the thinking

man's Land Rover?

It's the thinking man's Land Rover.

And no one has done a proper review on it yet.

Except for me.

Lovely.

I

like it.

I'm in fact.

Do you see the game?

It works.

It's

good.

Sure, please.

Also really normal.

I don't know.

It's

a 2003 black Golf 1.6 FSI.

An FSI?

Not match.

Not match.

Not 16.

FSI is the engine, I thought.

Yes.

Correct.

CFS, I am the monster.

Okay, fine, a match.

Okay, literally my first car.

Yeah.

Okay, I'm opening with, it's going to be a

quite hard shot to pull this off,

but it's a, I'm on a

bridge.

Right.

The shot is on a bridge looking down at traffic.

Right.

And I'm in the match and it's a kind of long

zooming shot.

This is a bit more top gear than it is,

you know, influencer.

And it cuts to me in the car and I go,

what's different from me to any of these

other cars in traffic, in principle,

nothing, because we're all just in a basic hatchback.

But what they aren't in is the best selling

Volkswagen of all time.

You see, the Mark 4 Golf is important because

it meant more than a car to most people.

It was mobility.

It was getting you to that first gig.

It was going to the pub with your mates.

I represent not just value when they were

new, but now incredible value in the used car

market, because this isn't just a car.

This is a choice of a lifestyle.

Wow, I like that.

It was deep.

It was thoughtful.

And more importantly, I learned absolutely

nothing from it.

Now, I was going to, I was going to accuse

you of prepping that beforehand,

but you can promise, because we just gave it the car.

No, I promise you, it's not.

Also impressive.

There's a little title in there as well.

The Volkswagen Golf, the perfect match.

Oh, I know.

I'll come out of it feeling a little bit like

I've been patronized.

Yes.

But also I'll feel warm.

Yeah, you'll feel like this.

It's actually kind of good.

Maybe I do need a golf match.

Yeah.

And then you'll go, no, I might have a normal car.

Now, there are no direct shots at anyone here.

This is just something we laugh about a lot.

Also, we are clowns on YouTube as well.

Absolutely.

We're not better than anyone.

You can make fun of what we do all the time.

Feel free.

We are the same.

You can't offend us.

We actually cannot.

We're looking at Krusty cars and making fart jokes.

But it is, I love it.

I love the influence, the ability to make

1:19:08 EV Company Promotion Discussion

any car somehow the most important car of our generation.

It's amazing.

Yep.

And then get paid by a sort of EV company and

say, that's actually amazing compared to that.

The JQ7.

Honestly, mate.

Honestly.

The auras I spoke on last week,

the greatest car man has ever built.

Easily outweighed by the JQ7.

Thank you very much.

Hey, shall I have fellow influencers?

Hey, everyone has a price.

Hey, get that bag, bro.

Legit.

Our final thing here, we have the list.

It's from you.

You've said Fabolos.

Fabolos gangster.

This is just a little ending.

This is something quite small to end.

We spoke briefly many moons ago about a song.

I think it was Fabolos gangster.

So it's a 2004 song because he mentions in there.

They love me just because I'm in the Gallardo

laughing like Ricky Riccardo,

because I think we said that he also

pronounces it as Gallardo.

So he was one that rhyme he could also say

Gallardo, because it's the Ardo.

True.

Yeah, this is very true.

However, I was listening to this song again earlier.

This is a return of our car bars segment.

Because I heard a line in there that I hadn't

remembered before.

I'm in the 10 minutes to nine leaning on him.

Like I'm 10 minutes behind.

Do you catch that?

What did I say?

I missed it.

Could you say it again, please?

I'm in the 10 minutes to nine leaning on him.

Like I'm 10 minutes behind.

10 minutes to nine.

What's that?

Ben?

Ben's on his phone.

And Ben's not listening.

No, I'm not saying I'm trying to think.

What's 10 minutes to nine?

Whoa.

850.

That's a crazy one.

That's kind of cool.

Kind of cool.

Now, I was 9/11.

Yeah.

Yeah, it was massive.

Not doing so great.

I think 11 minutes plus nine.

850.

850.

Wow.

Now, kind of crazy.

Kind of crazy flex because this one came out in 2004.

850 production stopped in '99.

So you're flexing a five year old car.

In rap terms, not something you see every day.

Perhaps it is a Volvo then.

Oh, true.

Yeah, that could be true.

Could be a Volvo.

Because there is a big L lyric that is similar.

I'm in the 740, but not the Volvo,

which is also quite a sick lyric.

I think about the 7 series.

Literally.

What a crazy, you got to know cars,

didn't you?

That's pretty cool.

There is a, I don't know what the song is.

We will get back to this next week when we find it.

But Jay, videographer Jay has been informing

us of, it is a rap song or a series of rap songs.

And he told us, he asked if Richard Porter,

who's been on the show before,

writer of Grand Tour, Top Gear and other such

things at night.

And tractors at night.

Very well known for tractors at night.

Did he have a sort of rap career at any point?

Because his name comes up quite often.

He's rich porter, obviously it's rap,

you're going to shorten it down a bit,

are you?

But he's been name dropped, Rich Porter,

the legend, Rich Porter, many,

many times.

So Richard Porter, if you weren't aware,

you are actually quite famous rapper.

Rich Porter, kind of a sick rap name as well.

One of them was related to a hotel line,

related to a porter.

What does that mean?

I'm a rich porter.

What's a hotel porter?

He does blankets and sheets.

They bring, like, wait, no, that I was about

to say the same.

They bring you a luggage long,

but that's a bell hop.

That's a concierge.

That's who's in your MG with you.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Washing my shower.

Yeah.

And cleaning your...

But Richard Porter, and you know what?

I would have fobbed it off.

Had it not been for tractors at night.

Exactly.

And now it's entirely possible.

It's entirely possible.

So Richard Porter at night, other than

writing about tractors, is also sort of ghost

writing rap songs.

from the '90s and '80s.

So very impressive.

Crazy to do

that moonlighting at top gear at the same time.

Yeah.

But

thank you very much for listening to this

extended version

of the Creme podcast.

We'll be back next week as always.

Creme.

Creme.

Creme.
