0:00 Introduction

How big is your TV?

It's actually not that big.

How big is it?

It's 85.

And Will said, "Oh, you've not got an iMac

screen, you're allowing me."

Yeah, next time you re-enter the Earth's

atmosphere, I would just watch the

windscreen,

because the seal's a bit off.

What have we got?

Have we got

something to fit?

Oh, coming.

Not for me, if I'm honest.

Welcome back to the 101st, the Domation

episode of Car's Rule Everything Around Me

podcast with myself, Edwin.

William to my left.

Benjamin to there.

Hello.

And before we start the podcast,

we always have to answer.

Look, we're right back, isn't it?

It's like it's a Monday morning.

It's like there was not much to buy.

We had the weekend.

Look, we're all done.

Back to work, guys.

Everybody 101.

Before we carry on, let's work it out.

Are we like an old car?

Have we rolled it?

Have we got to answer?

Yeah, we're on and we're all rolled over.

Okay, fine.

So now we can be as terrible as we were in

the first episode.

Wonderful.

Which is it for you, Will?

101.

Let's call that a roll.

No reasons to ruin.

Now, will people have seen Ben?

Will people have seen William's car?

They will.

It's an M site.

Yeah, they will.

It's in the first episode.

You've seen it on the wheels.

Yeah.

So, yeah, the wheels are there and they are fantastic.

Are they round?

Are they pleased with them?

Are they round still?

Good.

I drove that car this weekend,

had to get some, had to get some,

figure out where we're at with that car.

Because it's, well, the sound you haven't got to yet.

That'll be next morning.

Well, in our four or five days coming,

that will be the next video.

It's going to be nice, but I'm very,

very pleased with it.

I hope for everyone's sake that it's,

that car still exists when it's around at

Chelsea Walsh next time.

Oh, God.

Yes.

Because the absolute, the goal of that car to

sound like that, it is the the best sounding

V8 I've heard in my life.

There's a fantastic moment where we,

I don't want to give too much away,

but you can kind of get what a valve does and

exhaust where we got the valve open fully

when it was that, because you thought it was open.

It was like, oh, it sounds good.

Sounds great.

And then the valve opened fully and my,

my,

Ben let out a, a sort of troubled orgasm.

I said, oh my God, in like the,

in a way, I've never said it before.

I said, oh my God.

As a GTA NPC, after you just mowed down a

crowd, something, let's go.

Oh my God.

Yeah.

No, it is fantastic.

And other than that, like, I've got lots of

cool stuff happening.

I'm still trying to sort out wrap and paint

and what we do with that.

I don't know.

I'm really struggling with that because I was

like, I'll wrap it.

I already cool color.

And then I keep going, if I don't like cars

that aren't factory.

Yeah.

I think I will go for something interesting

temporarily because I don't paint it yet.

But I don't want to deviate from it's a factory thing.

Because that hurts me.

For those that aren't potentially necessarily

as big into cars, why what's the reason to

not paint it immediately?

Cost is the big part.

Also a time.

Cost and time.

And it could, that

could be a way for a month, two months.

Who knows?

Depends where it goes, how much work it needs.

There's a little bit of crust on an art,

like rust and whatever else.

It depends how much work it needs.

But that car essentially needs a full repaint.

And it needs the roof re-lattering as well.

So it's the entire car, pretty much.

So I think if it just gets some of the lack

of prep, and then so it's a nice flat

surface, wrap it in some, wrap it in a color.

Sothe it, use that for a little while,

protects the shitty paint underneath.

And then when that comes off eventually,

you paint it properly, but in the factory color.

Because otherwise, when you paint the car,

you should really take the engine out and the glass out.

So you have all of those shots and returns

and your engine bay is still,

is a different color.

Because if I paint that and lovely ruby black

or whatever it is, I'll open the bonnet and

everything will be white.

Yeah, not nice.

Or you'll open the door and everything will be white.

You'll open the boot and the inside of the

boot is white.

So you won't kind of do it properly.

So I think if I paint it, it'll go back to

Alpine White, bit boring, that's what that car is.

Also, it's a low-mile car.

So it should still be worth good money and

then wrap it something.

Something interesting.

Something wicked.

Something interesting, I think.

So what is it then for you?

A rule.

It's a rule.

I like that.

And again, comes back this

4:13 Rule or Ruin: Will's Car Update

weekend.

Oh, yeah, cool.

And again comes back this weekend.

It has got a, I've been, the big hold up on

that has been a cage.

If anyone saw the 2DC video where we tried to

put the cage in Ben and I, it turns out that was wrong.

The cage was wrong.

We scratched our heads, our armpits also,

we scratched each other's head.

heads, for the arses.

I then said that the John at Cormran,

he scratched his head.

I scratched his head only.

But like in a nice way.

But he, as a specialist said,

yeah, this ain't right.

Said it back with the company and they went,

yeah, this ain't right.

And that's haven't reached out to me since.

So I need to sort that out, but now it has a

proper cage in it in a different color.

But that's going to be very cool and nice.

Ben Sherman.

For me, I'm going to go back to a rule.

Oh, yeah.

And that's because that is a spoiler alert.

We are throwing this like, but days are for last one.

Why'd you do that?

Yeah.

So everything is the same.

My golf still needs things doing to it.

It's having it done this week,

but it's currently still running and happy

and hasn't got any worse.

So for now, I'm giving it a big rule.

So surely there's rules on the horizon for

what we're doing tomorrow.

Tomorrow we're fitting my shifter.

Yeah.

Which to your golf.

Yeah.

No, to my clear, which I'm not swapping with you.

I'm not looking forward to actually doing,

but I'm looking forward to the outcome of it.

Hey, that's all you have to focus on because

I don't like doing things to cars,

but I like having them done well as a result.

Unfortunately, someone offered us a car

earlier that means you're going to be doing

things to cars for a video in the future.

Yeah.

Have you forgotten about that?

You had until just then.

And they are upset about?

I just don't want to, but I appreciate it.

It will make quite good content.

So I'll do it.

It's fantastic.

There it is.

It's on camera that he said he'll do it.

He'll do it.

Yeah.

It's quite a big job as well.

Yeah.

It's definitely a big job.

Yeah.

But yeah.

So for me, rule.

Do you know what?

He could barely bring himself to see.

101 is three rules, guys.

I'm happy enough.

I've finally got my gearbox back from the

Alfas specialist.

There'll be a video on that in the coming weeks months.

There'll be weeks.

It'll be a few weeks away.

I won't say too much, but the gearbox is back

that I tried.

I had a goat fitting, I had a goat rebuilding myself.

Never done it before, but thought why not.

I'll try it.

But it came out okay-ish.

We all find that out on the video,

but I'm excited.

I'm excited to get that card going.

There's so many possibilities.

Even say they're endless with that card.

And I've also been measuring up engines.

I'll leave it there.

I've got an idea.

Yes, it's interesting.

It is interesting.

No one's done it before.

It's cool though.

Do you want to admit about your daily?

What?

That you might not be getting a daily?

Well, I fixed the Clio.

I've been driving the Clio and I'm excited.

Like we took it to lunch.

Will, do you say the Clio is working?

Yeah.

Yeah, Edwin crashed into me.

I had a bloody lunatic.

I didn't think behind me.

Beefing and waving and flashing.

And so I let them know what for.

And I reversed into advice.

Backed up onto me.

I did.

Ben was quite scared.

Well, I

looked round and I was like,

oh, they're behind us.

And he did it so gently as you go the impact.

Sorry.

Ben's scared.

Were you hanging half out the window,

shouting?

No?

Yeah.

No.

Do you know how fast you were going?

I said, hey, do you know how fast you were going?

And then Patrick Shatterbach,

you need to slow down, pal.

All while contact was being met.

Well, there were other people around

thinking, are they actually arguing?

Yeah.

And there was a respectful region in there as well.

Yeah.

Your daily video, you got it,

because we discussed on the podcast,

it's going to happen.

And now you've told me to say something.

I bid on a car.

Are you having on a car?

I bid on another car.

Okay.

Have I seen it?

No, you haven't seen it, but it's the one I

told you about a minute ago.

They're forgotten it.

There are so many.

No, no.

Yeah, I'll be honest.

We're doing this video kind of as it goes along.

I've bid on seven cars so far,

Ben.

And I'll tell you what, do you know what the

common through line is between all of them?

What's that?

Not a single thing.

So some of them have.

So what's happening now?

So we are doing the video, because last time

I heard this morning was that you might not

want to, because you might be have something

else on the horizon.

We will see what the gods provide in terms of

cars being listed on the internet.

So for all the creamers who are

8:24 Car Vertical Sponsorship and Live Review

interested in whether Edwin's going to buy a

daily, just know we don't know.

No, I don't know.

But he's bid on a car, bid on a car.

So now I'm going to assume in all of that

searching that you've been using Car Vertical.

I have.

You have.

You know what?

Because this episode is once again sponsored

by our boys over at Car Vertical.

And I haven't done one on that car that I've just seen.

So you're going to do one as we speak.

I'm going to do one as we speak.

I'm a live Car Vertical.

A live Car Vertical.

This is scary.

We're now, but you can't say what the model is.

Maybe we can guess by how much damage it's got.

I have also already bid on it.

So this is going to be very unfortunate for

me if I can't.

Which is not the way around to do it.

Usually we would do a Car Vertical and then bid.

Sometimes you get ahead of yourself.

Now Car Vertical is very, very handy.

It finds out crash damage.

It also finds out assessment damage,

which is really useful.

So if a car's had a hit, but hasn't

necessarily been written off,

you might go to an insurance and they go,

"Yeah, it's not that great, but you can go

and repair it or not repair it."

It gives you that data as well.

So when you go and view that car,

you can look at it and go, "Okay,

there was an assessment at the rear,

hasn't been repaired properly,

or it has been repaired properly."

You then have that data to go to the seller

and try and get that car for the right price.

Here we go.

We're done.

We're in there.

What we got?

Easy.

I'm clean.

How many?

I'm green.

Anything yellow?

Oh.

Yellow on a missions tax and fees.

Can I get a score?

The tax band is 252 grams per kilometer,

and it is in VED code L, which is a rate of 375 pounds.

That's what Ben's in.

He's in L.

So some people will be able to work out the

age from that.

That's a low rate for you.

No.

I thought I was 7'10.

You've got anything notable?

Any number plans?

I'll give you one question.

What car is it?

What country is it from?

Germany.

I've seen it.

Yeah, I showed it to you.

Maybe 25 minutes.

I'll show you.

It's this one.

It's that one.

It's red.

No.

It

looks like that.

Don't cheat ever again.

It's actually not

red.

I've got one guess.

You did.

Yeah, exactly.

I was

going to throw it back.

You've just seen it.

I know.

I was

going to throw you off.

I'd rather throw it off a bridge.

I

get Will's guess then, surely,

because if he knows, you said we have a guess each.

I didn't say we have a guess each.

I love Germany, is it?

From East Berlin.

East, but that doesn't need to study.

What do you mean?

Oh, let's just get a little bit.

Now, Benjamin, let's say Edwin was to buy this now.

He's done his check already,

but if someone else wanted to do similar and

there was a discount code, perhaps what was that?

Well, I like to use the code cream because

that gets me 20% off.

Well, that helps anyone.

It helps the boys, doesn't it?

Well, it does have the boys.

And now we started again at one.

We need all the help we can get.

Because it resets.

And you can also run multiple checks,

can't you, and get up to 50% off?

Good stuff, Benjamin.

And you can help friends out on what's up.

Shout out the creamers that have used our code.

We genuinely love you all.

Well, we got up first.

Wow.

Yep.

First up.

Let's talk about things.

Which I'm going to assume is from UCARE Benjamin.

Because it's news related.

It's the mystery of Revuelto.

What does that mean?

Edwin, can you type in "Rowelto spy shots"?

There's been a mystery "Rowelto" spotted.

Was this?

I saw someone talking about it.

It's like a replay.

basement.

I was like, "How can we be talking about the face lift?"

The face lift.

That'll make sense.

Yeah, it will make sense.

But it looks interesting.

It looks like it's got more--

Oh, OK, OK.

More.

Like the back of it particularly has more.

Right.

So there's a photo straight off the bat for creamers.

I would say, immediately, my thought is that

it looks like a Corvette C8.

Is that a bloke on the headlight?

It does look weird.

But there are-- you can see the--

that looks like a sticker of the little light.

It does.

So it's trying to throw us off.

It does.

And it looks like the lights might be a

little bit thinner, a bit like the timer.

Ferrari.

And the bottom part, part, part,

part, part, part.

Yeah, we're going to beatbox as well.

The bottom part of the bumper looks small square.

And the rear, look at that, that's boxing,

weird.

Yeah, I'll wait the day where,

luckily, they did with the event--

the event store was fine anyway.

But like they did with the event store,

where they go, right, sod it.

This one's special enough for changing where

the exhaust go.

Yeah, heard.

I can actually jail something where they go sod it.

Because there was a reason.

There was a reason they said it.

It had to be up there.

I don't know.

Because of that gearbox.

Is that true?

Yeah.

Or the gearbox is, 'cause it's transact,

isn't it?

Yeah, transact, gearbox.

So they had to put the exhaust above it.

'Cause if the exhaust was below that,

it would be in the gearbox and that would work.

Fantastic.

You do have a memory on you sometimes.

Yeah, but lots of cars are transaxle.

Yeah.

Yeah, but the exhaust is always central when

it's transaxle.

Yeah, I know, but that's what I'm saying.

But also, why can't we go low,

low?

Galardo transaxle.

Yeah.

Also, why can't the exhaust be like how they

usually are with it on the edge of the bumper?

Are we able to be central?

That's what I'm saying, brother.

That's what I'm saying.

No, that's what I would say.

We get another half an hour,

we get 15 minutes out of it.

That's what we do.

That's the cream, right?

It always has been.

Or we get it as a press car.

Oh, yeah.

Oh, of course.

We've had one.

Of course.

We haven't had the call back since,

so let's see what happens with that.

So what's your

bet then?

Can I get a bet from each person?

I'm going to

call it, it's going to be called the S.

I think it's going

to be called the S-T.

I think it would be called the S-E.

Oh, yeah.

S-E.

When did they last do that?

With the U-R-E.

Technica?

Yeah, they would be.

There are so many special edition

Lamborghinis in the last 20,

25 years.

There are some that I see come up at an

auction, I'm like, where did that come from?

Don't you mean the Versace edition?

Versace edition.

Versace edition.

Versace edition.

It is like the Euro edition,

we shot the Lamborghini house.

I didn't know that existed.

There's another one now.

Yeah, I didn't know any of that existed.

But there was the first one they did was Ventador.

That wasn't a Sulogo.

3500 GT, that was the first one.

Mira edition, that's 500.

And Mira.

So we'll watch his career with great interest.

Yeah, I'm interested.

We are interested.

What's next then?

What you got there?

That was a big old breath.

Yeah, he always follows up.

Guess how to figure something else.

Shut up, okay.

How about you speak something?

Yeah, I'm about to do that if you just let me.

All right, because I'm just reading the list.

What?

Let's keep you quiet.

Edwin's putting here, I believe it's Edwin.

MG Rover data, this sounds thrilling.

I have, do you remember that a few weeks ago,

weeks ago, we talked about the fact that all

MG's, that all MG owners have two MG's.

Sorry, all Rover owners own two MG's.

A man has been in contact and I'm going to

find to it is now.

Is it Richard Porter?

And that is a threat.

This is from Rover Spares and Discount MG.

This is from a stall.

They said, Hello gents, we here at Discount

MG Rover Spares are avid creamers introduced

to the show for our mutual friend,

Robin Butler.

Wow.

We know him, Viking detail, shout out Viking detail.

We were extremely amused by the segment in

'97, episode 97 regarding owner ownership.

You asked for insight, not only can we

comment, but we have information and data to

back up your claims.

For business reasons, we actually keep a

loose record of what cars people have as well

as other brands Rover owners tend to flock to.

We do supply parts for non MG cars and Rover

cars, for instances.

Will's assessment is most accurate.

There isn't as much crossover between MG and

Rover owners as you'd think sticking to one

or the other is quite common.

Those that do tend to own both are usually MG

owners with some of the hot Rovers,

i.e.

a Tomcat Turbo.

16:00 MG Rover Data Discussion

1,000-pound Facebook Marketplace,

Zadar Brigade, there is a lot of E36 crossover.

That surprises me.

This also means that Edwin is statistically

the most likely member of the cream team to

own an MG Rover car.

Followed shortly by a second to leave on his

driveway and not to touch.

We hope this is detailed carefully.

Clayth Data helps you to inquiry.

You know, that's kind regards Max,

Jack, Matt and Scott from DMGRS Limited.

I like the sheer volume of data.

That they heard the call and went,

"Hello, and we have the data."

I can get you that.

We have been waiting years to release this.

Shout out to the creamers for sending us in

some information.

You have heard it here third.

That is about four weeks old,

but I wanted to make sure it was on the list.

I want to know where that or how that data is

stored, not for GDPR reasons.

But I will be reporting it.

It's Rover.

So like, is it a spreadsheet or is it a piece

of parchment?

Yeah, it's a parchment that says,

"Is it a notepad?"

Does it say Dave sold his 42,000,

sold his 40,000, 420, just bought a 75?

Yeah, it's a notepad in sort of forum format.

Or it's an old forum.

Yeah, see, that's probably what it is.

Or it's a piece of paper that says,

"Scent with Tapper Talk" at the bottom.

There aren't any photos available.

There's a photo bucket link that's gone.

Someone here's put JLR.

It's Benjamin.

That's Benjamin.

And Benjamin is currently texting.

Because he's too busy to talk to anyone.

He's feeding his Tamagotchi.

I don't have one of those.

Right.

JLR is taken tough.

Talk to me about it then.

I'm just pulling it up.

Hence why I'm stalling.

JLR.

Time's looking tough.

They are cutting 4,000 jobs.

4,000.

How many were there?

More than 4,000.

That's not helpful to me.

Because if I have like 6 billion,

then I can't even stop that much.

But I don't know.

I do have the answer for you.

Is that 4,000 UK or like 43,000 globally?

So it's 10%.

Wow.

That's big.

Is that 4,000 from the UK or global?

You asked me this the

other day.

And I didn't have the answer.

And you asked me

again today.

I still have it.

I don't know.

But what I do

know is that they're cutting template of

their workforce to do with it's a mixture of

Chinese competition, US tariffs,

and then a transition to electric vehicles.

And I think they're just not.

But if it's JLR, I know it's the holding company,

right?

But obviously Jaguar has haven't even really

stuck higher.

So I don't know whether it's mostly Land

Rover or if it's Jaguar or you're projecting

not making any money.

My question is this.

I talked about it before.

Why does it feel like every,

let's call it two months?

It seems to flip flop again between people

being like, nah, electric cars,

they're taking over.

And then two months later, all manufacturers

go, nah, actually that was wrong.

We're going back to petrol.

And then another few weeks goes past and they

go, we're on my electric car going,

we're losing out to the, what is it?

What's actually happening?

It feels like everyone, a million different

people have a million different opinions.

And it's the, it changes month by month where

it's like, oh, it has to be electric now.

Yeah, no, but no one's buying it.

And they're all depreciating like shit.

Yeah, well, it is the

future though.

Because like the, I do see, I see an ungodly

amount of Chinese or Chinese derivative

electric cars in the UK.

Like it's not like-- It's not like they're not selling.

They are selling.

They must make up a massive portion of the market.

But surely manufacturers have to be like,

they should, they surely have to know whether

or not it is going to keep ramping up or if

there's going to be a level at which people

just go, no, I want petrol.

It's so weird.

So, because if Jaguar putting all eggs in one

basket on this type of electric,

type of one, what was it called?

Type I?

Type I?

Type I?

It's called the big long guy.

They're putting all their eggs in the basket on that.

So, how can you then say, how we're losing

out for electric cars?

That's what you're aiming to do.

So, what's happening?

I think the electric thing as well.

I think the reason they sell so well is

because they're cheap.

The Chinese ones are cheap.

Yeah.

If the average person who just wants

transportation, there is anything German or

European or even American really is so

expensive at this point that you have to,

if someone like BYD comes on and says,

yo, pay us 300 pounds a month and you get a

brand new car.

It's got all the tech that all these other ones have.

You're going to probably do it if you don't care.

Well, because I wouldn't do it.

The majority of people just want cars.

Exactly.

People want to transport a shoe if you're

washing machine.

No one's, you know, if you're not a washing

machine enthusiast.

There are.

There have to be.

There have to be.

People are like hand built.

People are like, yeah, they don't,

they don't make the old, um,

Bosch's like they used to do that.

That's a 97 now.

Do it that one per when it gets a nice 40

degree wash off.

Just just had it in the body shop.

That's got the M50 that one.

Just have Robin come round and polish it up.

this one.

I've had to do all the sales.

It's a piece of shit, if I'm honest,

but it gets me to A&B.

That's why I got the daily one as well.

Dispointing in another bolt.

I've got one I use for what is my company car.

Yeah.

Brand spanking new LGs.

Fantastic.

But I mean, if you, people want that,

that like balance of this is the best thing,

but for the best money, obviously there is,

then there's going to be that small

percentage of people that really want the

best thing that looks incredible.

But for the most part, it's the,

it's whatever is most accessible.

most available is TV, reliable cheapest.

Some people that go, that's the QLED big

panel with the back clear eggs.

Whereas most people go, that's a TV.

It looks like it looks

good.

What is the biggest I can get for the least

amount of

money?

Exactly.

That's it.

Except for Ben, who's got a 37 inch TV.

I have a 15 inch TV, but apparently,

okay, let's discuss it on the podcast.

Sure.

We had a debate the other day because

apparently I have a very small TV.

So I recently bought a new TV and I bought a

15 inch TV, which to me, it was pretty big.

How

big is your TV?

I don't really want to say.

How big is your

TV?

No, it's actually not that big.

How big is it?

It's 85.

Check and it's all OK.

I turn it on in the streets lights flicker.

But it's not a box TV from 1990.

It's a good TV.

I'm not here to.

Mine is also cheap.

Mine was a TCL or something.

Mine is a TCL.

I ain't paying that like 85 inch,

whatever like Samsung or Sony.

You could buy like a golf bar.

You probably couldn't buy a golf bar.

I could crash to golf bar, perhaps.

I just imagine your TV.

They're like an old person's house.

Where like nothing's directed.

They have a TV, but I think it's directed at the TV.

No, it's on a mantelpiece.

It's probably directed at a fire place.

I don't have it started to go to a fireplace

and there happens to be a a LCD TV

somewhere in the corner.

And that's what you've got.

No, we've

got.

We've got.

I've explained to you before.

I was going to say QVC is on all day.

I explained to you before on the podcast that

I had my sofa set up in a way where I have

the driver's seat, where I have a perfect angle.

And it is a TV viewing area.

It is not just a living space.

It is a TV viewing experience.

Yes, it is primarily set up for watching TV.

But my TV is not the size of my wall because

I can't, I wouldn't have a window.

That's my reason.

As little John, that's one of those little John lyrics.

Probably, but we'll like to make fun of my TV.

Fair.

Because I just imagine it's like you're

watching it through a letter box or something.

No, it's massive.

Anyway, electric cars, they are big.

I was going to say, so 4,000 jobs.

Well, they're making jobs.

They are making a thousand jobs.

They said, Jag, stick that up.

Maybe some people are going,

"Yo, let me have a go."

We get lots of people from McLaren

who say that they watch the podcast.

Let's be honest,

probably a handful when we say lots.

We've probably got

evidence to say three.

Yeah, we do have three, we know three.

We know some big ones.

I can't remember the chance name or even what

his name said, but he does something to do

with engineering.

Okay, thanks.

Do you know what, in McLaren?

Fair enough.

We're putting miles on a W-1.

Yes, that's because it was really very cool.

Yes, if I have forgotten everyone's name.

Can we borrow that, please?

Yes, we can do that.

That'd be fantastic.

Just for the day.

Bring it around, we'll have a look.

Either way, good.

Glad jobs are, there are jobs being made.

I'd love to work at C.R.E.A.M.

T.C.

There was a point at which McLaren were they

were looking a little bit more rough in,

I feel they were looking at three,

four, three, four years ago.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Specifically the cars.

Yeah.

Because it's technically the racing and the

cars are separate.

They're in the same place, but they are separate.

They were, I think, didn't they,

don't quite matter.

I thought they had to, they sold part of or

sold the technology center at one point.

So, hey, either way, good news.

That's great.

Sorry, JAG.

Hey, Creamer.

It does prove that if you make cool cars,

people buy them.

I mean, that is your job as a car

manufacturer, is to sell

25:26 Jaguar Land Rover Job Cuts and Electric Car Debate

cars.

So if you don't, if you stop doing that,

i.e.

JAG, JAG, yeah, it's not going to go well.

Yeah.

But Land Rover is interesting.

So I thought I'd see a new Land Rover all the time.

Yeah, they do.

Yeah.

But they, I just read their profits are down

seven billion.

Oh, profits.

Sorry.

Revenue.

Sorry.

That's right.

That's Jesus.

Ben, Ben, when he doesn't come in for a

podcast in a week.

Yeah.

Ben is the accountant.

Profits are down seven billion.

What?

Sorry.

I mean, I mean revenue.

Sorry.

Sales revenue was 29 billion for the previous two years.

It's now 22 billion, which is a lot of money.

Sorry.

How many, how many cars are you selling?

That's crazy.

29 billion.

Yeah.

That's a lot.

That's a lot.

That's the full group though.

I don't know what they want.

It's a lot of Ingenium.

What we got next?

Yeah.

We've got, here we got, Bugatti.

Dead?

Well, no, not true.

That's a crazy one.

That's entirely true.

What way to find out?

No, no longer officially at VW.

Explain more.

Porsche owned part of Remac Bugatti Group.

Bugatti Remac Group.

And they have officially withdrawn there or

sold off their shares in it.

So, so it's no longer owned.

At all by VW Group, which is first time it's the '90s.

So, it's now fully Remac?

Or it's a consortium?

I think it's owned partially by the boys,

actually by some investors, partially by Remac.

That's, you know, he's on a name basis.

I don't actually understand who the boys are.

Like Matt

here, I can stuff, I think.

But I've tried, like, actually investors,

but I've tried to work out before and it's so

very complicated.

I don't understand.

How far did you get?

Just one Google search here.

You went on companies' house and that's it.

Fended, who owns Bugatti?

He got to see the first page of Google.

Google AI went, Matt here, Remac and some

other people own it and he went,

good enough for me.

It's a Tory Bugatti, whatever his name is.

A Toryo.

Is that a name?

Yeah, that's it.

Close enough, a Tory.

Anyway, yeah, so that, but I'm sad because they...

So what does this mean?

Why is this a Bugatti population?

I don't know, but for Bugatti's,

I think...

Fantastic.

Well, great.

Ben puts things in as if they're like

conversation starters.

No, it would just break, I'm sorry.

If we should have...

Like he's the teacher, and we should have

researched the subject.

You said the phrase, how will this affect the

trapped population?

Because I responded, I don't know that.

He opens the conversation, goes,

discuss.

Like, how will it affect the finances of the company?

What about the socioeconomic stance?

Can we just talk about it?

Yeah.

I would assume from what I've read,

it's about like, obviously, there's playing a

lot of the share parts from VW stuff.

Which they've said in the toolbar on those,

none.

Yeah.

That's a crazy one.

That Armstrong fighting punching the air right now.

He's not happy about that.

Yeah.

So, I guess there must be some sort of

overlap to be able to get parts.

Surely, if you need to get parts of your

Veyron, how will you get that now?

Well, they'll probably do some sort of legacy

part of it.

Yeah, exactly.

So, I'm sure they'll be involved.

But obviously, it's a big thing because the

VW involvement, we're going to be grouping

involvement of Bugatti is what turned them

from being basically a dead car manufacturer

into what we know today.

Obviously, it was.

But there was even more men's company put.

There was supposedly a belief on the VW Porsche side.

I think I'm getting this right.

This is only from just stuff I've read

interviews I've seen is that Bugatti couldn't

survive without going electric.

And it took Rimmack famously doing electric

shit to basically come in and say,

no, you don't need to do that.

This is not what those people want.

So he's like, kind of put his neck on the

line and take a bit of a risk by going,

this, you cannot make a Bugatti electric,

not fully electric anyway.

So they've come out with the Tourbillon and

obviously, I don't know how that's going to

sell, but I imagine if I earned some field

sort of oil, I'd be pretty interested.

They obviously are making cool stuff now,

but it's just an end of an era because that's Veyron.

Yeah, that was Volkswagen.

That's the boy.

It does, even though Bugatti was always ultra

premium, Bugatti's that name,

where it sits at the top of everything.

But it always did, because you have that

Volkswagen thing.

now feels more Bugatti's back.

Yeah, it feels very bespoke.

Super bespoke, ultra everything is insane.

If you look in the Veyron, you can see little

Volkswagen bits and stuff like that.

So yeah, it'll be interesting as the other goes.

And who will be rebuilding them in 20 years time?

It's not us, probably.

I think my Armstrong, probably my Armstrong's kid.

Yeah, he'll have to go, "How am I meant to do this?"

Family business, mate.

Come on then.

Fixing to all be honest, no one makes this.

What am I supposed to do?

Go get Mate or something.

Make it 3D prints or something.

Ben, this is a lot of news coming from you,

and I'm hoping you've researched it.

You're telling me that the Tesla Roadster is here.

They've set a revealed date for it.

The Tesla Roadster was announced in 2017.

Is that how long it will be?

People have put their deposits down nine

years ago for that car.

That's crazy.

Also, I saw a thing about that.

I saw a camera who said it, but if you put

your deposit down for that, do you pull out

of it, right?

Do you get the money back with inflation?

You just lost loads of money then in that

case, because they say, "Oh,

you can put it down, but you can know."

Was it one of those bullshit Tesla ones,

though, where it's like you put down eight

pound or whatever?

I think it's called the Founder's Series one,

whereas the first-dition one,

I think that was like 50 grand down.

You had to pay the full 250 basic upfront.

Does it fly?

Apparently, it will have jet boosters.

Well, the rumor is it's jet propulsion.

The deposit for the limited edition Tesla

Road to the Founder's Series was the full

price of $250,000 paid upfront.

But then what I mean is that 10 years ago,

if you get a full refund, that's not worth

the same amount of money.

So on the day, they did a countdown sort of

page thing for it.

And there's a photo.

I won't show it because you can't see much.

Like a spy shot, like a studio shot.

And if you increase the exposure on it,

you can see the words where we're going.

I eat where we're going.

We don't need roads.

So, Lauren, it's a traveling time,

is it?

It's going to do 88 miles an hour.

So I wonder if, so what they're saying is

it's going to be able to fly.

Now, what are you doing?

There's been, no, I think so.

It has, it has, they're, they're,

they're, they're pressurized air proposals at

the back is what they said.

So it seems to push it forward.

To push it forward.

So, but the thing is right.

It says, well, will that, is that,

will that, here's my bone to pick with this,

right?

Because like, all right, kind of interesting.

The thing that really is really annoying is

that they announced that car in 2017.

In 2017, I remember happening.

Are you looking to get your deposit back soon?

Yeah, I'm hoping so.

Nothing to get the actual car delivered.

They, they announced that and they went,

it's going to do 0 to 60 in 1.8 seconds.

It's going to do this, this,

this and this.

You can't then just delay it for 10 years

until you commit the technology.

I can't go, right, this car,

it's going to go to 0 to 60 in a half second.

And then 40 years later, make it happen.

That's where it is flying.

Things come from, like 10 years go fast and

they go, we can't hit any of these numbers.

And he goes, well, it'll fly.

Yeah.

It doesn't do anything else,

but it will fly.

It goes, can it fly?

Will it fly?

Yeah, you make this fly.

I think my beef with it, basically,

is that you can't make a claim.

Also, not 61.9 seconds, it's still

impressive, but in this day and age,

it's not that impressive.

They've actually waited that long when our

petrol cars do that.

There are cars that are now doing sub two-cent.

And the thing, so I remember,

I could get this wrong, I'm pretty sure old

Musky boy said that, like, times past,

it's going to do 0.60 in less than a second.

Which, do you know what?

I understand that there are a lot of people

that idolise some of that sort of stuff,

but just shut up, man.

Just put the thing out, stop doing this thing

where everything is like such a big song and a dance.

Just go, just do it.

It should speak for itself, so it's a car.

Yeah, it's not a car.

Also, what's a 16, you need to get out so quickly?

I mean, I'll add to the stroke,

like--

Also.

That's like going, oh yeah, when I go for

nice walk, they get a coffee,

have a little straw, and then you just sprint.

I want to walk and enjoy it.

Also, if you do that anywhere on the road,

and a police car sees you, you're done.

Yeah, you're getting, even if you only went

up to 60, and the speed limit is 60,

they're gonna do you forever striving.

Also, can tires even do that?

That's how much power--

That tires are good enough that it's on a wheelspin.

There is a limit on a road car,

somewhere.

There has to be, surely.

Also, what service is that?

They will be delivered with Nankank CRSs.

Does it say like horsepower,

'cause I mean, there are some of the,

you know, electric hypercars now that are

2000 ridiculous horsepower, some of the Chinese ones.

Also, he's waited that long,

that new electric car brands have come out

and made their own supercars.

Yeah, they have been the--

The amount of Chinese supercars,

the Yangtze--

Yangtze.

Yangtze.

Yangtze.

That's the one that jumps, I think.

That's what he, also, he probably saw that one.

Damn it.

That's what I was gonna do.

That's what I meant by flying.

Okay, so here's the claims, right?

So this is what they told us in 2017.

Right.

Okay, so this would be impressive.

1.9 seconds to 60.

Over 250 miles an hour, top speed.

Over?

Yep.

620 mile range.

Right.

10,000 new meters of a wheel talk.

Sure.

Wheel talk, I think, I remember reading

something that was like that.

Because the Hummer says the same thing,

right?

Yeah.

All drive of talk vectoring,

two plus two layout, around 200 grand.

From number one, 250 for a founder series one.

So a four-seater car that has 250 mile an

hour plus, that has 600 plus miles range,

which I'm fairly sure no electric car has.

I think they can now, but like in that size

car, possibly not, surely.

With that performance.

Again, 2017.

So like, you're talking at the time,

realistically, what is it?

It's gonna be 250 miles on the most electric cars.

You're straight up making sure.

Yeah, yeah.

That's my beef with it, is that you can't

make that claim and then wait 10 years.

Yeah.

'Cause that's not.

I didn't say that the Cybertruck would be

able to, was the words like,

it would be able to shortly or briefly serve

as a boat and it could float and that's just

not, but any kind of.

Laser wipers, that was the thing,

early on though.

You're just made a sort of prototype for.

You are making shit up, but your Clio can be

a boat for up 20 seconds.

I'll try it.

Briefly was a boat, this was,

yeah.

This one flies, right, what's this?

Get in the cannon.

Of drowned.

Yeah.

And it wasn't what we said is flying,

you're not like right brothers shit.

We did like a few feet.

It's not gonna fly in crashing bound.

Also, you've talked about it before,

but you can't let things that are able to be

fly be put in the hands of normal people.

Yeah, you can't do that.

Yeah, there's gonna be, well,

it can't be legal.

Yeah.

If everyone's worried about autonomous cars,

like--

Imagine Dave just up in the air,

just up in the air in his Tesla.

I was just, I mean, road rage.

Someone cuts you up and zooms off and goes,

"Oh, I'll just go fly."

Someone's just pipping over me on a cloud.

Also, what would you like--

It's gonna be a detail online.

What was he, what are they invented here?

It's going to fly, okay, that's the claim.

Right, so it has wings, so it's a plane.

So you've invented a plane.

In 1000 hours, but we can drive it to the road.

Exactly, or it's a car with wings,

but then you can't drive it on the road.

Unless you do the correct qualification in

which you don't want to do because you're a

normal human being.

You can't just like, I can't take off from,

just from let Heathrow, just land on a B-road

and the Swinders.

Just pop in, Heathrow.

Do you mind if I jump in next,

mate?

I know you're a 747, but I just need to--

Just pulling out on front of like an A380 and

just like zooming down the runway.

Also, they now claim that so it's potential

1.1 seconds to 60 with the SpaceX cold gas

thruster package.

Oh my God, it's, I don't know,

cold gas thrusters.

Maybe I'm, maybe I like imagination,

but it's just, it's so--

Well, that's the problem, it's all imagination.

It's a childish and boring.

What are you talking about SpaceX thrusters,

brother?

It's a car, drive it to work.

I mean, if some of this comes to pass,

but it just doesn't, it feels like a real

huge case of over-promising and then under-delivering.

Vapour.

November 2017, it was revealed,

okay?

They're saying that it's only October,

I think the 10th is it?

The 10th, they're going, no,

sorry, the first of the 10th,

they're going to announce it,

right?

Production, 2028.

Okay.

So it's still two years away from you,

basically you produce it.

You know what, I'm willing to have a lovely

big serving of hat, but I don't think,

I just don't think any of the,

any of the big prices are gonna happen.

I want to know, my hat will remain firmly on

my head top.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things

38:27 Tesla Roadster Update and Flying Cars Speculation

to say.

I think I'm gonna have a couple of things to say.

That's a train.

This is my new car.

It's called a Cessna 182.

Yeah.

It has wheels so you can drive on the road.

It's a hover car.

Wow.

That was so useless.

Pulling up to Calais and flying across there.

I don't understand.

It goes in the field.

Why?

What are you doing?

There's fences, I can't go over the fence.

Also, any person with a cold thruster system

and going not 61.1 seconds, they're crashing.

They're above.

Immediately you're crashing.

What comes out of the back?

Cold, what is it like, solid rocket boosters?

It's like...

(all laughing)

It's just like 18 foot frames going out of the back.

You know, well, Judith behind you has been toasting.

You know our noss bottle that Edwin likes to

scare us with.

Yeah.

But that's basically that, where it just

shoots out like a white gas.

Like how you move around space.

Yeah.

Yeah, yeah.

So I guess, you know, you say consumers,

'cause do you know what?

I'll say that.

The SpaceX stuff is insane.

I'm not saying it's him, but the actual

SpaceX company and the stuff they've done is

incredibly impressive.

So if they can actually apply that to a car,

but I feel like there are much more

limitations with car rather than just going into space.

Like there are like more laws and,

you know, people are, you know,

more like--

Like MOT.

Yeah, you're solid rocket boosters not working.

So I'm fortunate I'm gonna have to fail you

on this one.

Yeah, and O-ring's gone wrong.

So your Tesla has exploded.

Unfortunately you will be immolated for the

next time that you drive.

The next time you re-enter the Earth's

atmosphere, I'll just watch the windscreen

'cause the seal's a bit off.

(laughing)

How do you refill the gas too?

It's like a one-time thing.

Is there a special gas you'll get?

LPG station.

Well, they're getting rid of LPG.

No, well, they're bringing it back,

isn't it?

Is it deodorant?

Like what is it?

Like what am I putting in the car?

Baffling.

It's crazy.

Obviously, if I'm at a light and this car

just like shooting cold gas at me.

Well, it just takes off.

(laughing) It just zooms up,

isn't it?

This lawless society we're doing.

Let's see what happens.

Let's see it, show us.

What we got next?

We have next.

Oh, I wanna talk about this.

I've thought about this randomly before the podcast.

Now, you'll probably know this more than Ben.

Although, Ben, you might have some experience with this.

How many photos or videos have you got on

your phone of just inane things working on a car?

A space you can't get into.

Yeah, yeah.

And I was going through my phone recently.

I was like, I'm gonna go through deletes with

photos, make some space.

And there are just wires and bolts or

underside of it.

(laughing) So, for all your listeners,

I've just, I literally opened my gallery and

on the homepage is me looking inside of a caliper.

There's just an unbelievable amount of just,

it's just videos of undersides of things,

dark crevices, out of focus bolts,

things that sometimes comes in handy and use.

But I wanted to put a call out out there and

say, who's got the best one?

Yeah.

And it's got, don't make it up,

don't stage it.

I wanna see, 'cause some of them are videos,

which is even better.

It's just me heavy breathing in the back.

(laughs) I'm trying to find some wire or some

bolt or something like that.

I feel pity for my, who have my FBI agent or

my MI5

agent, it's just going through my camera

going, yeah, maybe that looks like the

underside of a TBR, okay, that's an MX5,

that's to the inside of a wheel,

just nothing of use, absolutely nothing of use.

Trying to see if I can.

I do have somewhere, a photo from a long time

ago of Jack, I'll see if I can find it,

of Jack Joy and I, trying to install a lock

on a door that was like down below,

so I used the camera face that you could see

us looking in the corner, looking rough,

looking quite badly down at the camera,

I think I have one of you doing this,

I do have that, it's actually my favorite

one, I have one that I took of my eight

series, looking down the key barrel and

Will's in the background, looking very interesting.

Ben, you got any of those?

I got nothing.

You don't have like just random,

like that, it's just a picture part number,

I would like to take a picture of a sensor.

(laughing)

Ben, for all the listeners, we will put that

on screen now,

that is a me trying to take a photo in a

bootlock and Will

staring down like he's some sort of gangster,

but has just put one in the back of my head.

(laughing) I'm a sort of gentleman scene.

(laughing) But I just sort of,

there must be, I've got lots of this brake reservoir.

Why you got so many brake reservoirs?

I haven't got anything.

I think there was a leak on the Range Rover,

that was what it was, the Range Rover had a

brake fluid leak and I wasn't sure if it did

'cause you can't really get to it.

So I had to keep filming inside with the

torch on to make sure I was getting it,

but it's just, there are so many where you

have that inaccessible, oh, there you go.

(laughing) That feels like a classic,

the underside of something where there are two bolts.

Yeah, that is, I wasn't sure what was it was.

When you're working on the interior.

Oh, I think there have to be among just all

kinds of car people, billions.

That has to be how millions are being held up

on phones across the globe that are slightly

out of focus pictures of bolts,

but from years ago.

Yeah, and also you never go back and check

them, but also I rarely remember to go back

and check it.

Like if I take a photo of it before taking

something apart, I rarely go,

I took a photo of that.

I'll then go two months later,

if I'm sitting on a plane with no wifi,

I'll start going through and going,

that's how that went back together,

that steering wheel.

It's stuff people in forums are desperate for.

Yeah, you have sitting in your phone,

something somewhere, someone has been looking

everywhere to just see if they could find out.

It's like, I just want, if I just had access

to this, if I knew where that went,

if I knew how that went back together,

well I've got it.

We should make a communal page where you can

dump it, but with no information.

So you can just sort through people's random

photos of bolts and undersides and that sort of thing.

'Cause there must be enough nerds out there

that you could just post bolt and someone

would go, that's sort of a road for that.

Or any 36, either or, could be,

could be either.

It's the car person's puzzle.

Would we call it jigsaw puzzle?

Just going through each one and going,

I've identified that we're probably in an E38

because of this booster.

I have a game that I saw the other day on

Instagram that I thought might be quite funny.

Now, Ben, I think you'll struggle with this,

but it's worth it.

That's why.

We're each going to say a car.

We're each going to say a car on three and

the game is to try and get to the same car.

So, I might say Honda Civic and you might say

the Gatie Veron.

Now, we're quite far away, but if I say Honda

Civic and you say Honda Integra,

well, now we might go for S2000 and that's the game.

So, okay, so we've got to try and work from

what you guys say I have to guess basically.

So, we do have to work together

45:18 Car Guessing Game

on this.

So, you have to work together.

So, I'd like you two to start,

please.

Okay.

So, I'd each you like you to choose a car in your head.

Yep, and say it at the exact same time.

At the exact same time, all your listeners

will have to.

Hold on, let me think.

So, we will then go subsequent rounds until

you get to the same car.

I hope this doesn't go on too long.

I've got, I've got.

We'll see.

Ready?

So, three, two, one.

Land Rover, Schlager.

So, that was Land Rover, and a Volkswagen RTL.

Okay, so now you have to get closer than that.

So, move towards each other in whichever way you can.

Okay.

Three, two, one.

Good, let's say S class.

Okay, you've not really done anything to get any closer.

Other than potentially, you've stayed European.

Arguably, I stayed in the fan group.

That's true.

Okay, okay.

One, two, three.

Lamborghini Euroce.

I wasn't ready.

You literally counted down, you had to say.

Yeah, I know, but I had to think.

Okay, go again.

But you have to change yours now.

Okay.

One, two, three.

Golf GTD.

I don't know why I can, I didn't speak.

Okay, so you got upset with him for doing it.

Yeah, and now we're even.

You did do the exact same thing.

A panic.

Right.

Okay.

How about this?

Are we ready?

Yeah.

Okay.

But you have to forget what I just said.

Yes, go, go, go, go, go.

One, two, three.

Golf GTN.

Oh.

So now we're the Golf GTN, and a T1,

but you can't say the same thing you said.

Okay, I think we get it.

I think we get it.

Ready?

Can you have that?

Lock it in.

Yeah.

Three, two, one.

Golf R.

Yes!

(all laugh)

I was so close to saying GTI,

I think you'd think R.

See, it's a good game.

You two go, 'cause it'll be probably some

ridiculous thing.

Hold on, let me go thinking.

Now, I'm gonna, I'm just, to make it easier

for us, maybe we just say, just say like model.

So we don't have to say like,

Volkswagen Golf GTN.

Yeah.

Boom, you like, comes in?

Three, two, one, guy, plus.

What was that?

Someone was a citron A.X.

Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.

And yours was a dot of viper.

Okay, ready?

Three, two, one, C6.

Sos.

Okay, okay, we're getting closer.

Hold on, hold on.

A citron, citron, C6.

C6, three.

Yeah, two.

One, go.

C2.

A pis.

Wasn't that?

A zantia, and we went for a C2.

Okay.

Three, two.

Hold it, hold it, just hold it right there.

Stop speaking, let me think.

Don't move.

I've got one.

Let's just think.

I've forgotten it.

Yeah.

I had it.

Okay, hold on, I've got it, I've got it,

I've got it.

Yeah, there are, there are the cars.

Yeah.

I'm sure there are.

We were close.

I'm sure there are cars.

And we are drifting.

There should be a time on this.

Yeah, I know.

That's the issue, usually.

I find, yeah.

Three, two, one, go.

Plurri X.

God damn it, right.

Work together, what are you doing?

Why are you trying to?

You went different.

You said Santa.

Oh, you're so different.

Yeah, no, that's fair.

All right, no, we carry on.

Three, two, one, go.

Two, six.

Wow.

Okay, we're okay.

Ah, we go.

So that's a, we'll return to this game.

We'll see how the creamers, like,

I don't want to do too many rounds,

'cause it might be absolute dross if you're

an audio listener, but let us know if you like that.

We should do probably three-way.

Oh, okay.

I won't say another word after that.

We're doing that now.

Do we do that?

A three-way?

Yeah.

Because so, try a three-way.

Oh, God.

I'd like to see you're right.

Who counts in?

I'll count us in.

Okay, so...

Okay, three, two, one.

Three, two, three.

Oh, my God, what do you want to say?

I was a DB9.

I'm 330CI.

Lamborghini of Enterto.

Okay, okay, so we're third element,

the triangle of love.

Okay, all right.

It's not good at all.

Three, two, one.

M3.

D3.

What'd you get?

I said DBS.

I said M3.

I said C63.

So we've all just kind of shifted one around.

I know how to play this game.

Okay.

Yeah, we would do it.

We're sort of just currently doing it.

Okay.

Yeah, okay.

Three, two, one.

V12 advantage.

I wasn't ready.

You sort of, you are a whopper.

You are ruining this whole game.

Okay, sorry.

Now we were on the same wavelength there.

Okay.

But now we have to do something else.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Okay.

Three, two, one.

458.

458.

458.

I did say that at the beginning.

That was my first one.

458, DB9, DB7.

Okay.

Ben, then he thought on what we're going for here.

No, we can't confer.

What's that mean, then?

I don't know.

1, 2, 3.

Van Gogh, Vantage.

No, I think 3 doesn't work.

No, I think it's hard.

I think it's hard.

We'll get there.

What do you just say?

I said Vanquish.

And you said?

Victor.

And I said V8, Vantage.

We're not fun.

I think we've got this one.

We all know.

3, 2, 1.

V12, Vantage.

V12, Vantage.

V12, Vantage.

I didn't think of another car.

V12, V12.

V12, V12.

V12, V12.

I think we could go on sometime.

I think we keep this one as a two.

Let us know in the comments if that is

audible or if that's absolutely ridiculous

and we'll cut it, we'll bring that back in

the next week.

They've all left now.

What have we got?

Have we got something to fit?

Oh, coming.

I wasn't pleased with that.

Not for me, if I'm honest.

Ben, you're bad to say.

I was gonna say Ben's got one for the week.

Apparently so, this guy's just one.

Because obviously you guys have got some sort

of like condition.

I once know,

50:27 Listener's Car Wishlist

even though it's been two days since we last

did a podcast, I wanna know if anything has changed.

Do you

want anything different?

Yep.

Yeah, see here, yeah.

I know.

So you've suggested the ones of the week to us.

You haven't had one.

No, let's just do it one the week.

It might be the same as last week,

it might be different.

But I know yours is because you still want a

hundred active.

Don't put words in my mouth.

We'll find out when we get to me.

Okay, so you'd like us to go.

Yeah.

I would really like in the last few days,

I've been thinking of twin go one three threes.

I really like them, I really like them.

And that's what it is.

I've been thinking about C.R.E.A.S.

Half Coversworth, I love them always.

And then the other one I've had straight up

in my mind, just being thinking about is Vipers.

Did I talk about this last week?

I don't know.

I don't think so.

I just have Jen two and three Vipers,

three are like the most.

I keep getting served twin turbo ones on

Instagram and my, my, what a saucy thing they are.

Moi moi.

Yeah, that's my thing.

Oh, that's me.

What did you say, Jen two?

Jen three, Jen three is.

Jen three is.

I either want a full Tokyo Drift spec.

That's a Jen three.

That's a two.

I didn't know that.

No, that's a two.

Or I would like a Jen three.

This is an SRT 10 or one.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

They all have that.

Do they do it coupé?

They do, they don't have either.

You don't have either.

I like the coupé.

I like the coupé.

Now, I've seen people, you can convert

convertables, that's not crazy on,

into a coupé.

They're like, it's like a tart,

it's like a, 'cause they're all fiberglass,

anyway, so it's quite easy to convert them.

So, we're not easy.

But, I like a gen two and a gen three.

Something about, look at this guy,

that is still, as a child, that reminds me of

Too Fast, Too Furious.

But what a, what do you want a cool looking thing?

What a fantastic looking thing.

It is a busting cup.

It does look like a snake.

I love them lots.

It's not something I'd, I'd probably like to drive one.

I would really like to drive two.

I'd never like to.

Not that it's a bad sound, I don't care for

how they sound.

No, but, now imagine, and it had turbos.

That, yeah.

A twin turbo Viper, when I see that,

it's some of the angry, there's a video of a

black one, I think it's one of the later

generations and it's got all the ACR shit.

Yeah.

It'd be an ACR.

And it is, and it's got blue frames shooting

out of both sides of the car.

Yes.

And my God, was there a mess after that?

(laughs)

It might have a big mess of me then.

The other thing, this is dating this podcast,

but Shafen, who's a YouTuber,

has just bought a twin turbo Gen 1 guy Nardo Superajera.

And man, after watching that video,

it was underground racing as well,

which if you're, as a child like me,

I was watching everything that underground

racing made with great interest.

There was one for sale in the UK.

I wanna say it was at a place with farland automotive.

It was for sale for a while,

and price went up, but it was a,

whatever the orange color is,

five litre Superajera with a UGR,

with an underground racing kit.

Mm.

It's up there of all things for me.

There is that video of the five litre,

it's just the normal five litre,

I think, revving in it, shoots the rings.

That is, that is YouTube Hall of Fame for me.

That noise with the turbos, my,

my, it's just amazing.

Yeah, there's something about,

I mean, the five litre, it doesn't sound as

good with turbos, it robs noise.

Yeah.

But there's something about the sound of a

turbo gyado that makes it sound.

Also, you just know the numbers are gonna be ridiculous.

Yeah.

It's always, I mean, again, I don't know,

a lot of it's like, oh, it's this number,

but on race feel, but like you're always

looking at like 15, 16, 1400,

1500 horsepower, it's ridiculous with the silly numbers.

But yeah, those videos are, they're what,

I mean, it is, it is exceptionally costly

thing to do.

Oh God.

Especially now, like everyone wants those

cars to be standard and manual and or

whatever else, but the values of their cars

have now shut up.

So having a twin turbo one's like,

that might be some of the cheapest ways to

get into them.

You're doing it for the love of the game.

Yeah.

At that point, you're just like,

you have to, get, or just, I can't say I'm,

can I?

Yeah, we can bleep it.

I can say, well, I can't keep saying it.

I mean, keep bleeping it.

You have to either, you know,

demodify or just run it twin turbo,

but that would be amazing.

But even though I remember seeing the numbers

back then of the cost to do it and being

amazed then, even as a child,

where

it's like, yeah, it's a 200 grand engine build.

Yeah, what?

Any?

What?

So I think it's like a turbo,

good turbos can be expensive,

but they're not that different.

Just 'cause it's a Lamborghini,

doesn't mean this.

It's not that much different to what you put

on a different sort of drag or whatever

build, but you are messing with a Lamborghini

engine, which is when things get beanie.

Yeah, that's what it's like pistons,

40 grams.

Oh, huh.

Now the gearbox has to be built.

Oh, now it needs different drive shafts.

Now this, now this, now this,

now, now, now, now, now.

What do you want?

What do I want?

Well, nothing much.

Okay.

That's not true.

I don't think that's true.

I saw the Focus RS Mark 1 lingers in the back

of my mind.

Hey here.

And I wonder if it will ever happen.

Because actually, there have been cars at

good prices, circa 10 grand as well.

I have a theory of what will happen.

If you buy one, now you, you don't tend to

keep cars that long.

No.

If you buy one, I, I call it now,

I will buy it.

Okay.

I will be the bomb one by one.

Well traditionally, Ben died in my car.

It's true, but not this time.

I'm just learning, lining up the machine

longer for him.

If I have one of those years ago,

don't need it.

Or you actually need to send it to someone else.

Oh, there we go.

And then it's me and then it's him.

And then it goes to Benjamin.

But you're not interested in it.

Well, I don't really get it.

That's 'cause you're weird.

I don't know the name of them.

Well, that's why we don't like you.

Yours the Mark Gordon folks are.

No, not necessarily.

There he is, he's got your mentality.

That's necessarily, not necessarily.

I've been thinking about Ferrari slots.

I'm feeling Italian, as always.

You met me in a very Italian time of my life.

I am, I'm feeling a bit Italian.

I like that they're having the martial arts.

I think I mentioned the "quachaporte" last

week, bidding on it, losing out,

very sad.

Oh, that reminds me.

You need to be this jacket.

That's tomorrow, I think.

We'll have a look at that.

Well, another bit.

We'll have, we'll

certainly think about it.

By this time, my girlfriend

would have heard this, and we'll see where

that goes from

there.

He killed you.

Yes, quite possibly.

But also a

Ferrari from a similar era, as the Mercilago,

I saw a wonderful 430 coupe recently,

and it really tickled my pickle.

It was like the grotto of that era for me,

the 430.

That or a 599?

599, fantastic man.

I love you.

We were talking to Stuart SBR,

who's, you know, there might be one there,

and there's just some cool stuff,

but, you know, the place in the Mercilago.

To break it to you.

You've been outbid on the Mazzarotti coach,

Paul.

I know.

It's like 2-1, isn't it?

Yeah, well, we go.

Well, it ends tomorrow, does it?

God.

We'll certainly see about that,

folks.

Ben, let's get on to you then,

hey?

For me, it will be a Honda activity.

Well, that's the second week in a row.

Well, it's only been a couple of days.

Can we get something new?

Yes, because that is only, I still want that a lot.

Right.

Okay.

But I was really like a Mercedes.

It's been a, I have a hankering for one.

Yeah, but you have a very weird hankering for

not a cool one.

It's not a cool one.

Wouldn't be not cool.

It's an E-Class.

I would like an

E-Class coupe.

Yeah, it's a bit forward.

Like a 2017, 2018 one.

Yeah, but--

I was thinking about possibly getting it as a daily.

But you don't even care about the engine either.

You just want it to be like,

A car.

I just wanna get an E-220.

I don't know what that is.

I don't know what that is.

I want to, why would like, is it a car that I did?

They're very nice.

I did wrong out of the unit.

What generation, don't do that,

you need to make that--

2017, the generation will be--

It's the one after the C238.

Wow.

Do you know what?

I asked that and I've got no idea what

generation--

It's a generation of the--

It's the one, the nicer interior.

The four-liter twin-turbo C63 generation one thing.

I like these a lot.

Yeah.

And I'd like one--

They don't do AMGs, do they?

They do.

Oh, they don't need big coins though.

They do do a full one.

They do a E43, I think.

They did E63s in that.

Did they?

Koopay!

No, Koopay.

Oh, well, that's exactly what we said.

Oh, Wagon, they did, yeah, yeah.

Oh, sorry.

What do you want?

I thought you wanted a Koopay.

I want a Koopay.

Right, this--

I would like to have a physical violence with you.

Wait, what are you saying?

In that generation they did make it just not

in the Koopay.

I don't know what I'm saying.

Oh, sorry.

I'm saying they wasn't a--

There's a 53.

This is what we deal with every single day.

I think there was a 53, yeah.

Okay, but that doesn't count.

I would like one, 'cause I like the idea of a

luxury Koopay as a daily.

I think that's cool.

I don't want some big, long thing.

I want just like--

Oh, sorry.

I want some Koopay.

And I like the idea of that generation of

E-class as a potential golf replacement would

be to just roll back and not fork away.

Okay, well think about this for a moment.

I might.

Oh, that's what we didn't talk about,

that new Merc.

I don't know anything about it.

You see it?

Oh yeah, there's a patch, CD,

but Germans.

Should we save it for the next one?

Let's say not.

You'll all hear about this next week,

Ben, it's completely irrelevant.

Okay, this is so far off.

Okay, so, but what about a C-class Koopay?

Does that--

I think they look similar.

No.

I think they do.

They do, but the E-class is--

What about an S-class Koopay?

I'd love that, I'd love that more than an E-class.

However, I will--

You know what, I thought that.

No, don't make that my want.

Actually, have this as a one of the week,

a Bentley Continental GT.

What's the cool one?

Eight with the Bugatti seats.

Yeah, now guess what?

Guess what came up on the dealer auction tomorrow?

No.

But--

No Bugatti seats.

It's no Bugatti seats and it's so convertible.

Piss.

That was so expensive.

But I have a hankering flat Mercedes as a

daily, I think it'd be really cool to just--

What engine?

I don't really mind.

I just want it to be to work.

I think you should mind.

Yeah, I think that makes a difference.

I don't mind.

I think you should.

It's a motorway cruiser.

Big enough for it to be good on that way.

I'm really joking with you.

What engine?

Surely you would

like something.

Do they do a 400?

Or a 300 is a great one.

I think I was looking at 350s and that sort of thing.

But

I'm not massively bothered.

I just want it to be a comfy

big coupe that I can just roll up and I'm out there.

Should I stay away from Danzil?

Do you know what I would

like for Danzil?

I would really like that.

I think there's going to be some creamers who

are probably sitting in their e-class coupe

right now, listening.

And it would be great to hear from them in

the comments saying, "Ben, do it."

Or, "Ben, don't do it."

The answer to your question,

sorry, about C-Class, is that I like,

the C-Class looks very similar,

but the interior is much worse.

That's my thing.

I love the vents, like the air vents,

they're jet engines and then also it has a big screen.

1:01:20 E-Class vs C-Class Coupe

Like cold boost phases.

Yeah, like that in a calf for some reason.

And I like E-Class feels cool and it's chunky and bigger.

Whereas the C-Class, it just feels a bit--

I understand that.

Yeah.

No, that makes sense.

No.

Yes.

Off the topic of that, I'd like to ask you

all to make a guess at, there is someone out

there listening to this podcast in A,

but I want it to be quite specific.

Yeah.

Oh.

I'm gonna say someone is listening to this

podcast right now in a blue Nissan 350 said,

but it's an import and it's an auto.

I'm gonna say that someone is listening to

this in their, their CLS 55,

sorry, their CL, yeah.

CLS 55 AMG and it's got the IWC special

edition, which is

the watch company.

Oh, okay.

Yeah, I think it's that

version.

All right.

I think someone's listening to it in a K11

micro, but a black one, quite rare.

Oh, okay.

Yeah.

Is it 1.4?

Is it the-

How long is it in this car?

Well, do we listen to it through the boot?

Is it via

telepathy?

By an aftermarket radio.

I would assume so,

but it can be, I will take AirPods or I'll take anything.

That's illegal, so I don't do that.

No, don't do that.

Yeah, you don't do that, definitely not.

I've never done that.

I've never done that.

I've never done that.

I've never done that.

I've never done that.

I've never done that.

I've never done that.

I haven't done that.

Bet might be.

Imagine interrogation with Ben,

where they go, if he does this,

he goes.

Did you kill the person?

No.

It's a photo.

That's not me.

That's not me.

That must be something else.

I've tried that on a product road.

Yeah, yeah, it works great.

Where?

On a product road.

Where?

I can't disclose that.

Well, if you know it, if it was Brian,

I don't recall.

I closed the end before for that shoot,

wasn't it?

It was like, yeah.

Yeah, but then it turned out it wasn't closed.

Me and everyone else was using it.

Me and I, I used to wear my headphones in the beat.

It was one of the most fundamental things.

All over your headphones.

Sometimes--

Do you know what it was?

I wasn't listening to music.

I just had the noise cancellation on.

Is it illegal?

I don't know.

I don't know.

Now, it's not illegal to listen to music.

No.

I mean, famously.

But I mean, you can listen to music at macaroni piss.

Sure, yeah, yeah.

Big levels.

But sometimes I'm absolutely busting out

music on a big style.

It is.

Like, super loud.

But I'm still driving well.

It's not extremely illegal to wear headphones

while driving in the UK, but it can still

lead to a fine penalty points or prosecution.

Oh, and fine, I've allegedly worn them,

sure.

Police discretion, if police believe your

headphones block out crucial sounds like

emergency sirens, horns or shouting.

Shouting.

No, no.

'Cause my earphones are about a touchy subject,

indeed.

No, my earphones--

Were you wearing headphones that day?

That's a fateful day.

No, no.

We have the allegedly track-suited urban

defense bracket stock that--

No, they can pull you over and charge you

with driving without due care and attention.

Yeah, but--

I can try.

But mine--

I won't hear anything.

I can't hear you.

My AirPods do not have noise cancellation,

they're quite old, and so therefore I could hear.

They pulled that over, we're gonna find you,

big O's.

Or one of my listening to, one of those ones,

yeah, this is-- (laughing)

No, I used to wear them in the allegedly,

in the S2000, because I couldn't hear

anything for the speakers, so I had phone calls.

So you are admitting to it now?

I said allegedly that would be--

So we've just gone from me, absolutely not

to, to go out with me.

Yeah, I've done that.

In that interrogation, easy.

I wouldn't do that, is this you?

Yeah, that's me.

No, I might have tried it on my prior approach.

It could be.

Have you done this?

No, are you sure?

Well, no, you mentioned it.

Could do.

I could be convinced.

There's nothing wrong with that,

unless it's illegal and there is.

Ben, Ben has said, at the beginning of this,

Kevin put a forum in.

And he said to me,

They don't exist.

There's no forums.

I was through the last five podcasts and

there weren't really any forums.

So I think in the reality, you have been

asking forums, Ben's just too lazy,

but can you let us know some forums down in

the comments if you have something?

There is the odd forum, but then nothing that

I found that interesting.

Don't question too silly.

So don't call our creamers questions odd.

You don't need to--

But sometimes it's one of them.

That's the forum.

That's the point of the forum,

Benjamin.

I know that.

Do not.

Do not.

This is the point.

If anyone's gonna get a view,

it's gonna be you.

No, hang on.

Ben's job description for this one.

Pretty much so.

The forums we've had them before,

or maybe they're not quite clear enough or

whatever, I think they're not quite legal.

No, I would like more people to put in

forums, if possible, because I'm noticing--

So you're saying they should pull their way?

I'm noticing a decline in how many people are

asking forums, and therefore I have less to

pick from, and therefore--

Competition Ben is back.

No, no, no, no, I'm going to need you,

all to pay more tax.

I once again, asking for financial support.

So you want more forums?

More questions?

More forums, people will be more open,

ask different and better.

But what you're also saying is,

just be better.

Let's bring back car spirituals too.

I still think, I think diesel.

Yep.

guys.

Think I'm at for the next week,

yeah?

We'll think diesel, let's know what you think.

I still think diesel.
