0:00 Rule or Ruin: Edwin's M3 and Ferrari
And one of the policemen that came on to
escort the woman off was a creamer.
Yes.
That's crispy duck.
That's the crispy duck that all the other
ducks refer to.
So now I can turn the gun, not on myself,
not on you.
Hello and welcome to episode 107 of the Cars
Rule Everything Around Me podcast.
That felt a little bit official amountser.
But with myself, Edwin, William to my left
and Ben Jamin.
Hello.
Who is behind the camera.
Indeed.
Before we start all of this podcast,
we answer the question with the cars of ruled
or ruined everything around us this week.
Let us start it with a will.
I would say it would just be a rule.
Okay.
There's still a, most of I'll go engine is
still out and there's still costs to be had on that.
Parts to be waiting for.
M3 currently has no seats.
It had seats in the video you would have just
seen on Monday, but now they're out of it
because they're being trimmed.
That's cool.
So hawks auto work.
Same people who did.
I think they did Alex's touring M3 and also
Rory's 9/11 doing the same thing.
I asked him, I said, can you do those seats,
but in the factory M3 drink?
So factory leather with the little stripe in
the middle, like the leather stripe in the
middle, like a normal M3 seat,
and he said, yeah, we can do that.
No problems.
So yeah, I want to get that set up,
I don't know.
I don't know actually.
But yeah, so that should be really cool.
I really, I'm so unbelievably pleased.
You know what?
That's probably rule alone.
M3, we took that out with the carbon airbox.
Oh my gosh, and it's fantastic.
The noise is something else.
I spoke to the guys at Inman at Evolve and
said, please, please, please can I have an airbox?
Because that's the only mod I never really
got to do that I really wanted and wanted
wanted to do on in the E92 on the previous
ones I had.
So yeah, now I've done that.
So it just looks great as well.
It looks great.
It sounds honestly, I thought,
maybe it won't sound that different.
No, it sounds completely different.
Do you know what?
Also, that car, the way it's built,
looks like an American E92 M3.
But there's something about having that in
the UK that is really cool.
Like if that car was in America,
you'd walk past that car, mate.
Yeah, OK.
I've seen this.
It stood out very nice to do it Monterey.
But here, it just, I don't know,
something about it just really,
it pops.
It's nice.
They're normally either a track car here or
it's a standard car on competition wheels or something.
Whereas this is nicely, I wanted it to be
somewhere in the middle where it's still a road car.
So the exact image I had in my head,
it's close.
It's nearly complete.
It's very close.
We have a track down Monday.
Yeah.
So I'm very much looking forward to trying
them again out with its new setup and new
brakes and new everything.
So I think that's going to be good fun.
Nice.
I'm going to say the same.
We have just, for us, the podcast of the 550
has just gone out yesterday.
Yeah, today.
So I've been bombarded by many messages from
Creamers with congratulations.
Thank you very much for all of your messages.
It still feels quite surreal.
Still doesn't feel quite right.
I didn't mention it much in the last one,
but there's immediately things still.
I can't really drive the car as of yet.
It needs some parts to fix it,
which is so very TDC to buy a car,
modify it and then immediately break it.
But I'm still, I think it'll be a long rule
for me for a long, long time.
There are great many rules for many years to come.
And also my M3, if you're an audio listener,
I have my M3 just over my wrist shoulder
because I need to prep that for the track day on Monday.
And when was it?
Since before we went to Germany,
has had a horrible blow from the exhaust and
it has caused it to sound like an aftermarket
exhaust on an M3 and that can't run.
Unless you have the, if you haven't heard it,
there's a Japanese company called Sunbeam,
most sport.
There's an exhaust for M3s that make it sound
mini V12 sounding.
Oh, this is like a bad one.
But for now, I've bought just over to the
left of Ben's side is a completely stock
exhaust without a a gouge in it,
which will make it no longer sound like a
tin of bees.
Alan's like a Yeti, just a carify you're on holiday.
Having a week off here?
Mm.
Okay.
We've ever had a day off.
Another one.
Yeah.
Well, there's a whole day alone.
Thank you very much, William.
It's been a bit of business there.
He said, off I am.
Yeah.
I am.
I am having another one.
Hey, I've had, I've had one week this year.
So far I've had a second week.
I think there's been a lot more than that.
No, it was one week.
No, there's 52 in a year.
Well, I know that.
But the week's off.
I've had one week where I went to Barbados
and this, I'm having this week off.
Ben works your holiday.
It actually works the other way around to most people.
You book in work days.
I hate this.
I really hate this.
I really hate this attitude you have.
I'm referred to as a nine to five here.
It's generally, it's generally holidays.
And then you go, I'll book a week of work in.
And I'll come in for that one.
Unless I was their guest.
No, I'll be on holiday.
Speaking of, in the coming weeks,
Richard Porter has said he'd like to come
back on the podcast, which we're all very excited for.
Ben, incredibly excited for.
Turns out, originally I joked,
I'm going to try and book it in for the week here away.
And then I said, obviously, I'm not actually
going to do that.
Because you haven't yet kind of had a podcast
with Richard Porter.
And I think Richard Porter actually very much likes you.
Thank you, Richard.
If that's a lie, please feel free to email in.
Or feel free to not say anything.
Or make a song about how much I'm not a song.
Sorry, okay.
Not an hour song.
But, and then Richard Porter messaged and
said, oh, sorry, I've actually had a bit of a
schedule conflict.
Can we do this?
Yeah.
And the exact date was the date bends away.
Yep.
So it means Ben can no longer meet Richard
Porter, which I think is it's sad,
but it's quite funny for this recurring joke
that you hate podcast lists.
What is personal?
Yeah.
He needs to know that.
What if we were to come to Scotland?
I don't want to see anything.
What if we video real?
Can we video call you on the podcast?
You can call me, yeah.
Okay, cool.
But an hour and a half.
Can we get?
An hour and a half?
No, come on for a minute or two.
Can we do like, we'll just do a word of the week?
A word of the week.
Oh, a word of the day.
I guess.
Do we have one for today from you two?
Salubrious.
Malice.
No, you can't keep using Malice.
It was earlier, Maserate.
Yeah, which was not what you thought it meant.
Which means, well, you looked up by mashing
fruit and extracting flavors from.
Yeah.
Which, I mean, it is a good word.
I'll give you that, Ben.
Well, basically, what we love in this is that
it is personal Richard Porter.
I'm a nine to five, so I'm having some time off.
Of course.
Well, we wish you, we actually do wish you an
enjoyable holiday.
Thank you.
So without us, I wish you an enjoyable
holiday when you take one too.
I don't just say no.
7:00 Ben's First Rental Car Experience
Good cop, bad cop.
Well, that's okay.
Which will make you enjoy a holiday.
I don't need your approval.
Here's what I hope.
The weather's dreadful.
It actually is meant to be clear.
You said you want that.
I said it adds the atmosphere if you're in
Scotland, for sure.
I think so.
I hope that there is sort of phenomena.
Good word of the day.
That occurs at a phenomenon,
even, let's say.
Something happens.
Like an act of gardening takes out the entire town.
Well, it takes out the entire town.
It takes down the grid.
grid shuts down.
All the public transport is there.
You have a rental car?
I have.
I have got eight or similar.
My first.
L8.
Little guy.
What's the two of these?
That's the smallest guy.
Like a little.
Why don't they have the E?
Why?
How old is a two eight?
Brand new.
2004.
I thought a two eight was like a 20 year old.
I think it's two eight.
Let's get a quickie here on my booking.
It's my first ever rental car.
I've never rented a car.
I've never rented a car because I've been to.
It's 25 and 20.
Yeah.
What you're describing is Ben is it will be
in a Christmas movie.
Yeah.
The grid goes down.
He can't get back.
He's stuck in an airport.
All he's got.
He forms a friendship with someone who's
unlikely to form a friendship with and
they're out on the whole way.
It's maybe Richard Porter perhaps.
Oh, wow.
That would be good.
They're against each other, but they become
lovers as the movie goes on.
Yeah.
Ben's story is.
I don't make the rules here,
Ben.
Sorry, Richard.
All of the bread.
That's Ben's story.
I've got, but it's my first rental car.
I've never had one before.
So that's not true.
That isn't true.
That's not true.
Oh, the Chevy Travert.
How dare you forget.
Shout out Francisco from San Francisco.
Nice.
That's your second rental car.
I've never hired a rental car myself.
Now, let me ask you this.
Are you hoping for the 208 or the Orr Simler?
I want the Orr Simler because it's more fun that way.
It's a little bit of a random surprise.
I'm excited for it.
Do you know what it is?
If you rent the cheapest car,
it's always more fun to get something else.
We're already at the bottom of the barrel,
so it's cool to get a surprise.
It's when you go in and you've ordered a
wagon or something and they go,
"We've actually got a 208 for you."
You go, "Oh, come on, man."
If I get told, "Oh, yeah, you've got a smart car."
Fine.
Let's do it.
Let's see.
I feel like that would be quite rare.
What if they gave you a Cadillac limo?
What would you not be pleased to get a Cadillac limo?
A Cadillac limo?
Or, "Do you want?
I'm actually cool with anything."
What if it was an Apache helicopter?
Definitely.
They said, "A park, if you do want to get the
waiver for this one, it could be quite expensive."
I don't know if you don't.
I've got the insurance, obviously.
I know you've built and braced that thing.
I've got that good insurance going.
I got called by the rental company,
and I even paid a little bit extra to have a
lower, what do you call it?
Excess?
Of course.
That makes sense.
Five pounds a day.
Does that mean you're going to really be
whipping that how around?
Oh, no, I can just crash it.
Is
that what's coming in true?
Is that manual or similar?
No, I would like it.
I would want an auto, but are you expensive?
What?
I was always told, right?
It was like, oh, yeah, you got to 18 and
you're an adult now.
You can mean an auto versus a manual?
No, like a rental car is expensive.
Yeah.
But I thought you got
21, it gets cheaper.
I don't know, it was 25.
And now it's like 30.
It always keeps going.
So when I get to 30 and they'll go,
oh, I've got to be 75 for this thing to go down.
Have you got your slave pension?
Oh, sorry to break this one to you.
It's too late.
He's going to cost you.
I'm afraid you need to be a casket.
It's my first one.
So I've been driving really eight years.
I can whip around in a two or eight.
Or similar.
I wouldn't be all similar.
But I would say a foot of it and I'll update
the cream in the next week.
Now, if they're going to be so vague with the
cars, we should better be vague with the information.
I'm 25 or similar.
That's fine.
Here they go.
This is 64.
They're both numbers.
I have a full driving license.
Hold on, let me see if we got that information.
Ooh, that information's out of stock.
Sorry, we can't get that one.
Yeah, I think it was the company.
Some of us talk about it.
That's crazy.
Also, this is, you know, I'll create some,
some consumer, some creams humor information
in the comments.
I'm fairly sure Avis is the only one that you
don't need a credit card for.
Just a random little fact for you,
because I don't have a credit card.
People writing down facts about us,
right?
Okay, so Ben's never rented a car before.
And what's your credit score?
God, I wish I knew that.
I did mine through the airline.
Oh, you're flying?
Did it as one?
Through the PJ company.
Yep, they said, we'll get the Rolls Royce
next parked up on the runway next to PJ when
you get out.
Like you're doing a 2000s kind of rapper shoot.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
Next to the nice.
Does that happen for real?
Like, can you actually get Alfa PJ into a car?
Is that a thing that actually happens?
Well, you don't go through the turn.
Well, not that I know.
I don't know.
But you do.
He's treated differently.
You don't go through the terminal.
You have your own security.
Does possible control meet you in the car?
Are they in the back seat?
That's a true car.
I just have a quick look.
I think it is different.
Because obviously security, like it's your plane.
You can, if you want to blow it up,
it's on you kind of thing.
Is that true?
I don't know if the FAA would have...
Well, I mean, I think you can do other things
with the plane and it just blow up in mid-air.
Well, that doesn't have terrorism works.
What I mean is that it's your plane so you
can bring whatever you want onto it.
Like you can bring bears and stuff you want.
And like over a hundred milliliters.
But you can do that on an all plane.
You go, I'm going to blow my own plane up.
It's a sign.
You can't bring bears if they're over a hundred mill.
No, but there are bears on the plane.
Oh, there.
I did.
I'm joking.
Meanwhile, me watching Ben get beveled off on
the way to Monterey.
You did.
You also had a G&T.
I did have a G&T.
I don't like to get beveled up very,
very regularly.
But on a plane, it's quite fun because then
you're just going to sleep.
By that logic, tonight, when you get home,
tuck into your wee having tonight for dinner.
I don't know yet.
Let's go chicken and leek pie.
You could just get absolutely sloughed.
But I don't want to do that.
But then you can get into bed.
But now, on a plane, it's hard to sleep.
So if you have a cup-- No, I'm not saying I'm
going to get absolutely like smashed and
start like verbally abusing people.
But you have a couple of jeans.
What do you have to do that?
Well, I'm three in.
So you can suddenly go and get absolutely
smashed on a plane and then they get really like rowdy.
It happened on the bridge.
On the way back.
There was a there was the police on the plane.
Yeah.
To where they came from.
But they were there.
And and one of the policemen that came on to
escort women off was a creamer.
Yes.
He came.
He walked in and then he was walking down the
aisle, looked across and went,
Oh, yeah, big fan.
Yeah.
Nice to meet you guys.
Really nice.
Nice conversation.
Went, Oh, I should probably get back to show.
Also, the people who were having a fight
decided to they there was one empty seat next
to me and they moved this person next to me.
I went sleep and I woke up and there was just
a person next to me.
I was baffled at this.
So why is there just a man?
So now you're of rental car age that you
can't you can't do that.
No, you can't.
No, you can't.
You can't be doing such such but I would
never do that on a short list.
I would never do that on a short list.
I would never do that on a short distance
playing that doesn't that's like going on the
bus and having a beer.
I wouldn't put it past you.
I don't drink beer that regularly.
With a brown bag.
I'm going to get a taxi now.
I'm going to get a beer out.
I'm not going
to do that.
But if I want to like a what's the best mode
of transport to get Bevdom?
I think a plane train also isn't there some
science about like you're really high up like
you get less beveved up or more beveved up.
I don't know.
But surely the oxygen is you've got oxygen
being pumped in.
I guess it would be in a depressurised plane.
If the door flies off mid flight,
they go right down a couple of bevs.
Let's go in a nose dive, get the bevs in.
If you're in a mountain, it would be great.
I'd like to do it on the London Eye.
Just keep sending me around.
It's really transport, isn't it?
I'd say it's the end of where you started.
Okay.
But then what's a helicopter?
Then we go up.
Escalator.
Start drinking.
No, I don't condone drinking.
Okay.
Is that the thing we have to say?
Because we're not meant to promote that?
I don't know.
Anyway, on a plane on a whole journey.
Ben doesn't condone it.
So if you've ever had a bit,
Ben doesn't like you.
I've had a bit.
What are we talking about, man?
It's late.
Right.
So are you a rule?
Today, I'm going to be a rule.
Okay.
It may change because I'm going to service my
car for this on my own.
Yeah.
I forgot about that.
On my own.
In the unit, everyone's going to go home and
I'm going to be here wrenching.
Oh, yeah.
Probably two bolts.
Do you know what?
It's going to look like a scene from,
like, Ben's going to be in a white,
wife theater top with a Corona.
Just bored, of course.
Well, yeah.
I'm drinking.
I'm not drinking driving.
But you're going to have a comically large
spanner that you're just using in the engine.
Yeah, of course.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you're going to wipe the sweat off and
walk out into the sunrise, I guess it would
be at this point.
And there would be like really nice shots of
me just taking bolts off easily.
just bridge.
So, there's a wire in the way.
No, there's a pub in the way.
I've seen it from top or bottom.
From bottom, but it's also one of those oil
filters that is BMW, where it's a case.
It's got a cage, you put a filter,
but it's joyed.
It'd almost be better if it wasn't accessible.
Stay with me now.
Yeah, I'll carry on.
Let's see what he has to say.
Engine is OK.
Because at least then you look at it and go,
I can't get to that, can I?
Whereas this, it's like you can get to it,
but it's a little bit too high up.
It's a little bit too in there.
You wiggle it out.
It's just annoying.
And then it has a thing where,
like, a little drain plug that you undo first
and it pulls.
So you're annoyed because it looks like it
should be easy, but it's not.
Whereas you'd rather it just actually be not
hard so
you can go, well, that was annoying.
Well, it's difficult.
Yeah.
Whereas it's sort of, it's sort of like it's
laughing at me, jamming, just like,
hey, you're going to come and get me.
You've also got history with it,
because I think you read it last time.
They always say the talk figure on them.
Yeah.
I mean, most of the time, look,
it's just tight, tight, relative.
You're not overtightening it.
You've got to use some mind power brain for it.
And you're like, oh, that's a 35 new meters,
whatever.
I think it turned out to be 15 or something.
Yeah.
So you tightened it.
It just went, and there was a plastic cracking sound.
And there was, it was a, it was a sadness of foot.
Yeah.
Is there going to be, have you got a new housing?
No, it actually cracked.
We checked it.
So in theory, so your rule right now,
we're a, we're a hopeful rule.
Sorry, we're a rule, hopefully going to remain rule.
Well, if it all goes to plan,
I'll drive home tonight.
the car, the road bearings will be lubricated
and I'll get here tomorrow and I should have
a car still.
All goes not
18:05 Car Vertical Saves a Buyer from Deception
to plan, the car won't even make it out of the unit.
Perfect.
In which case the ML will be your new daily driver.
So we've seen a rule come ruined.
Oh, well, I think I'm, I've done it now.
That's just my third time doing it.
So I should be able to do it.
I will call it.
This, this would be our village.
It's a rule upon ruin.
Wow.
Yeah.
So we had the river ruin going through.
Exactly.
Yeah.
But there's also ruin upon rule somewhere.
Yeah.
I mean, it's got to be there.
It's just, it looks a bit of shit.
quite nice.
We're in a, we're in a pun tens,
we've got one down the road.
It doesn't like it's another tens,
but.
Well, it would now be near here,
wouldn't it?
It would be.
Well,
that's basically where I would live,
isn't it?
Why?
Cause
near the unit.
Okay.
Okay.
So also we do have a sponsor for this video.
It's not, as we just previously mentioned,
booking.com booking.com is not booking.com.
It is Car Vertical.
And we actually had a message from a viewer
who said that the, a cream code Car Vertical
actually saved them.
We've had many of those messages before and
it's very nice to see when someone says,
I went to go and buy a car and then I ran a
Car Vertical and I was saved from some shady
dealer from trying to, to, to cover things up
from believing things under stones under
which they should turn over and reveal that
information to you.
And Car Vertical is the tool in which you can.
Car Vertical will to battle those people.
They'll flip the stones.
Car Vertical is the sword you take into
battle in the war against bad car dealers.
Yeah.
And then you present it to them.
It's not a sword.
It's a Gatling gun.
And you go, Hey, it's, it's,
it's not that.
It's, it's a rail gun.
All right.
You, you can, you can finish a waffle.
I've got the story up.
Afternoon chaps.
I've spent the last five years watching you
guys, Ethan and Jack and Alex bang on about
Car Vertical every video.
However, I was on the offense about doing a
check when buying a third three year old
approved used car.
I was looking to buy a second hand pole star two.
I still kind of like those.
I don't know why.
I think, I think they're kind of cool.
Clean.
So three years old with less than 50 K miles,
I found a great and car and given it was a
pole star approved one, I didn't think it
needed a CV check.
However, the car was in Birmingham.
Nice, good, good red flag number one.
And my wife went to uni there,
so maybe clear that every car is either
crashed or stolen.
Fair.
To my genuine surprise, the Car Vertical
report showed that the car had been assessed
in 2024 for two and a half to 3K damage.
Photos attached.
When around the dealer, they were unaware of
this and had no invoices to explain what
works had been done.
I was surprised a main dealer didn't even
bother to do a proper background check.
They only do an HPI check apparently.
They were willing to not 500 quid off the
price but I had to walk away and end up
buying a car from a lovely man in Newcastle instead.
Moral of the story, if you're buying even
from a main dealer, you should run a car vertical check.
Oh, and don't buy a car from Birmingham.
That makes sense.
That makes sense.
500 quid.
500 quid is mad.
What are you talking about?
500 quid for stuff they had no idea.
That's one of the best things about Car Vertical.
You're not going to get that elsewhere.
It's information that even some of these
dealers don't know but they should know
they're using the right tools.
But you can get 20% off your next check as
well if you use our discount code which is just cream.
And if you can use that, just support the
podcast very nicely.
It means we can buy Ferraris and Lamborghinis,
folks.
Shout out, shout out to Creamers.
And there goes everyone who is going to get
used to the code.
Shout out to Creamers, shout out Car Vertical.
What should we start with?
We've got so many things we get through on the list.
We do have so many start things to get on that.
That's true.
It's a good way of saying it.
We are super happy that my language is working.
Okay.
Let's get that switched back on.
Brew died mid-update.
You break this brain.
Let's have a look at this list.
I'm going to go through it in list order.
The sense, doesn't it?
Mobland on that car shit.
Benjamin Rogers.
What is Mobland?
I don't know.
I'm not seeing it.
No.
Okay.
But you've heard enough.
I actually don't know what it is.
What?
I'd like to take a guess at what it is.
Well, I assume it's something to do with the mob.
Yeah.
And it's not at sea.
Okay.
You've seen nothing related to Mobland.
21:47 Mobland and Its Cool Cars
No.
We've been thinking about a TV.
We've been thinking about a TV.
Yeah.
It's as big as your TV.
He's connected to the internet.
He sits in the driver's seat.
I do.
We know this.
Everyone knows about my lounge.
Mobland is a series.
I'm watching right now.
Will's watching right now.
Many creamers are probably watching right
now, but more importantly than that,
there's actually some cool cars throughout it.
In the first season, there was a car chase
with an E92 M3, which had some good noises,
but some were wrong noises.
They were wrong noises.
Every now and then, you get a little bit of
induction that was correct, and then there
was some wrong stuff.
But in this season, I didn't want to talk
about until you'd caught up,
but you're now caught up.
There is absolutely randomly for no reason at all.
Ben, what's that?
Just an R36%.
It's an R36%.
I think it's a Japanese port.
It's a Japanese, but that was the thing I
picked up on.
I think it turns up to drop a woman off who
has been kidnapped, as you do.
I put drop back, though.
Yeah, it's not quite kindly dropped off,
but then it just does a J-term.
It's not a...
At first, I was like, "Oh, I paused it to my
girlfriend's upset."
I went, "It was an R36."
I went, "Okay."
I went, "Hold on, let me see if I can get this plate."
I got the plate and ran it, of course.
And it is an R36.
It is an R36.
It came back as an R36.
I think it was imported in 2021.
I don't know why I know that information.
It just does a J-turn, but not for any
particular reason, as it pulls up calmly,
relatively.
Completely normally.
So he was being mindful to the lady inside.
Give me five star rating on Uber,
give me a good rating.
And then went, "All right, I'm off."
His next pick up was on the other side of town.
But the other thing is, is it all,
no, not all nearly all R36s are auto.
I don't know if you could get a manual R36.
So you're doing a J-turn in an auto.
That's an interesting move.
You'd have to reverse and then bang it in neutral.
Yeah, do a neutral drop straight into what's called.
They are all never sold with a manual.
So they were all DSG.
In my memory, it does take a little while to get going.
He does, yeah, he does so clearly.
So he's reverse, and then on the turn,
he drops it into neutral.
Or he's just actually mashing the box.
And then a little bit of time,
wack it and drive.
He might need a give lock service.
He probably will progress with this.
40,000 miles.
It's not going to be happy or true.
That's all for this stunt alone.
Like we just, it's a very minor part.
I don't remember of this.
They'd like set up a full stunt car.
It's like the, it's awesome furious.
The back of its car.
The back of its car.
It's got a seat in the back.
There are two engines to it and go both ways.
But the thing that I found most proud about
it is that A, there was no reason for it to
be a percentile.
It could have been any general car.
Or what they use is rain drovers for them,
or Bentley's, you know, high-end cars.
But that's just a random ass car.
It's quite handsome.
I love it.
Part of that character is he's got,
well, they pull up at a house and there's a...
What was it?
Was it in a mirror?
Yes.
I think it was in a mirror.
In a mirror.
A lecturer.
A lecturer just sort of re-random stuff.
And he's a bit wacky.
Yeah, wild.
But as soon as you put this in the chat,
he's like moblin on that car shit.
I just, you know, I was like,
that's the L36.
Yeah.
I knew that would be, because he even I was
like, that's...
What's the odd thing?
Could have just used Passat.
Yeah.
Next up, Edwin, you put in here,
that's man who's done every car.
I, you know what, we are car youtubers.
I don't think that's a secret to anyone here.
I didn't want to reveal that sort of thing here.
I thought we were doing PC gaming.
But, even, hey, not one day,
we've been talking about that.
We want to do a gaming channel.
If anybody would actually watch that,
actually let us know.
We think that the three of us doing separate,
different channel, just in our own time,
would be quite funny.
I don't want to.
Ben doesn't want to, but we require him to do
it with us, 'cause it would be funny.
Because I'm not very good at games,
and I don't want everyone to think I'm
genuinely incompetent.
But that's okay.
None of us are good at games.
You guys are better than me.
We played, what do you play?
Warzone.
Warzone, we did win.
We won our first match.
We did win.
Against bots.
But so, but yeah, that's something we
genuinely thought would be quite funny at
some point to try.
More importantly than that, we are car
YouTubers, and even despite that,
we need a tutorial.
We need workshop diagrams.
We don't know how to do things straight off
the bat, so we need some guidance.
Ever since the first day I touched a a wrench
or a socket, there has been a man on YouTube
who will have a video for you.
He's a man in America.
He's got quite an interesting accent and voice.
It's quite, it's quite throaty if we use that
in a different way.
But he has
done every single car, every,
everything.
And the amount of times that I go,
let me just, let me have a look at this
random, and a bang off.
Cool.
26:30 Auto Repair Guys' Car Tutorial Videos
Everything.
What was it?
We were looking at the other day,
E92, working out how the seat belt anchorage
goes on the E92 video.
If I did the, what was it?
We did it, Ben cut out the video 'cause he
really hates the guy's content 'cause I spoke
about this exact thing.
Ben, anyway, I did the, what did you call it?
Glockspring, the Glockspring.
And the first video I popped up was just the best.
And even I was looking at, there's a sensor I
need to saw underneath the E92C.
It's unbelievably specific, that video.
Yeah.
So his name is Auto Repair Guys on YouTube.
If you don't know who this is and you worked
on cars before, you know what?
He does not lie.
He does what it says on the tin.
Go and have a look at one of his videos.
You've seen him before if you've worked on cars.
It's amazing, but I wanna know how he's done so many.
I've looked on his channel.
I would like you to tell me how many videos
he has got on his channel.
It has to be thousands.
His last, his first ever video is 10 years ago.
It's actually not, it's not that long ago,
it's not that long ago.
I think it's a thousand.
A thousand.
Yeah, 'cause that sounds like a thousand videos.
One a week.
For 10 years.
Is that 5,000?
Do you think 5,000?
No, I've made that up.
It's 500.
I'm gonna say he's done 1,809.
He's done 7,600 videos.
He's done the 7,600 videos.
Wait, what's that?
In 10 years.
So it's 500 weeks in 10 years.
120 weeks in 10 years.
Okay, here we go.
You know what Ben?
Let Rain Man go to work.
So he's done 10 videos a week.
Oh my God.
Over 10 videos a week.
Well, he's doing the maths.
We said 7,600.
So it's 520 weeks.
7,600 videos in 10.
Well, his first post, first post is from 10 years ago.
And his first video was how to remove and
replace the cabin air filter on a Honda
Accord 2012 to 2016.
Start out humble.
So you must be doing Bugatti's by now.
No latest video is water pump location
replacement on BMW 528i, 520i,
320i, 328i, 428i, 420i.
That is, but houses trousers.
fatman.
How many videos is that there?
Right.
So we think we're hard pushed because we do
two a week.
Basically three videos a week.
Two videos, then a podcast.
That's true.
We do a podcast.
The podcast is fairly half-assed.
And this is not for decades.
We're saying like this production level,
it's not the same.
I'd call it a quarter-assed.
I think it's fantastic.
How many videos a week is that?
15.
15 a week.
15 per week.
63 videos a month.
Is it 15 a week?
15 per week.
If he's having weekends off,
which is probably not, but let's say it's
weekends off, he's doing three a day.
It's two videos every single day for 10 years.
Oh, including weekends.
I didn't ask it to remove weekends,
but yeah.
I'm saying that he doesn't have a break then.
If he had a normal week, it would be three
videos a day.
When he wants to go on holiday,
like if he had Ben as a videographer,
he would go, "We need to get ahead for a bit.
I need to film 18 videos."
Oh my God.
I already love this man.
I genuinely have a ridiculous amount of
respect for him because he always has what I need.
And he's always very clear and always goes,
"You need to do this.
These are the tools you need.
I'm going to show you how to do it."
Now, in fact, I know how many he's done.
You're not mega shout out to this man.
15 videos a week.
That's genuinely crazy.
And his last post was four hours ago.
It was four hours ago.
And he's still on that now.
Can you give me like a last 10 videos?
Four hours ago, 22 hours ago,
one day ago, one day ago, two days,
two days, three days, four days.
So he's doing two a day?
Two a day.
Two a day.
So surely he's getting an advert from that?
Short of a shower there.
You know, whatever it is, he deserves more.
How long are they?
There's some of the questions.
Some are short, some are quite long.
You've got six minutes, seven minutes,
six minutes, five minutes, five minutes,
13 minutes.
You've got to long it out.
Get over eight and you can put some mid-rolls in there.
Then the YouTube advisor.
I'm just saying, you should do that.
If you're at seven minutes and you're like,
"What's that?"
Here's 40 seconds of me dancing.
Oh, can we see that?
Guys, just wait till the end because I'm
going to really tell you what this problem is.
And then just replay the beginning of the video.
But do not shout out to Auto Repair,
guys.
That is magic.
Guys, I mean, I don't know of the one.
No, there are, there's two.
There's a team.
Yeah, he, there's the main guy that usually does it.
He's got a helper.
It's, I think it's the same helper the whole time.
So is it a guarantee anyone who's listening
will go on that channel and you will,
you will hear the voice and go,
"Yep, that's the one that a million times."
And if you haven't, one day you will.
Yeah.
I promise one day you'll work on a cargo.
I need some way, some help and his,
his glorious voice will enter.
You haven't excluded those finishes.
I will say one thing.
Sometimes his intro has a, I think it's in
M54 BMW Revving and it's quite jarring.
You just say, "Ahh!"
But what have we got next?
We have next.
Let's have a, let's have a couple of,
um, newses.
Okay.
Let's do that.
Actually, um, this isn't news.
Okay, crazy.
Lied immediately.
Fantastic.
Oh, it's news.
Oh, okay.
We're back.
But it's not news.
And we're back.
We're out.
31:17 Ferrari 308 Tribute Model Revealed
It's not new news.
Okay.
Is it you heard it here third or maybe even more?
Possibly later.
Okay.
Possibly a number that's not over mentioning.
Um, there's a car.
Let's come out.
Fantastic.
And it's been revealed.
I know nothing about it, Ben.
Well, what is that for the audio listeners?
Why are you looking at the stain?
I don't like it.
Oh, no, that's a dust.
Is that a D, D, tomato?
You?
No, it's a, it's a, oh, it's a,
it's a, oh, it's a, no, you've,
we saw one in Monterey in Carmel.
No, no, no.
We were looking at it and you really liked
them and they have a big
engine in the back, it's a man.
No, that's Pantera, but it's not.
That is essentially a Ferrari 308 328 is what
we're looking at.
So the base of a Ferrari 308 308,
three A.K.A, the 288 GTO is what this is
being a kind of homologation,
it is a modification.
Tribute to a 308 GTB Group 4 rally car.
Yeah, which is a really, really cool.
If you've ever seen, you always think of a
Ferrari and they're normally related to track
racing, if you like.
But there were rally cars.
That was actually the reason the 288 GTO was
kind of initially thought of as it was meant
to be for Group B.
And obviously it didn't happen.
But there are, and if you go to somebody,
there's a rally show, I can't remember the
life of me.
It happens in January, I believe.
I don't have lots of these three ways.
Race retro?
Yeah.
Yes.
I think we got it.
But I remember the kids saying a Ferrari or
any car thinking, what the heck?
What the heck?
They have those.
But this is meant to be a tribute to that.
So Michelotto was responsible for lots of
Ferrari racing cars, most notably the F-40LM.
F-40LM being the one that you would have seen
the most, basically.
And they've decided this isn't a resto model,
apparently this is a ground up car.
Wow.
So they've been chassis and everything.
That's cool, literally.
Now, built it myself, bro.
So imagine a 2.8-8 style or a 308 Ferrari
with the modernized arches and modern wheels.
As you'd find it, it looks amazing.
The only thing I'm unsure of,
the rear, they've gone for the new age 4.8-8
style lights, I guess is what you call a F-8
tributo light.
And I don't know, it's just a tiny little bit
too much for me, I think.
So we've got 3.4 naturally aspirated V8.
Oh.
So come on, I read this at 8,250 RPM,
about 375 horsepower, 950 kilos without fuel.
Wow, that little Italian number in there.
So 950 kilos, without fuel or
flavor.
What?
So around about a ton, almost 40 horsepower,
high revving V8.
That sounds quite good.
Do you know what
that engine is based on?
Do you know what that's based on?
I believe it's going to be based on the sort
of original, original like 308 type.
That's cool.
Real drive mid-engine, no traction control,
nothing.
No, no, like no servo brakes or anything.
So it's meant to feel ultra old school and nice.
I love that this is a thing now where there
are like supercars that you buy now that have
crazy like systems that stop you from doing
things and like traction control with various
settings, a lot of sort of stuff.
And then there are rest of the mods and
people building cars now just like,
yeah, we're basically a TBR.
It'll just kill you.
No traction, no ABS, no, just nothing.
Enjoy it.
Yeah, no power steering, no Nada,
but still has pop up headlights.
And it doesn't, the sizings and proportions
of it are all still very 308.
It's a little bit wider.
But I think it's quite interesting.
It's a little bit like that.
Three, five, five, that you've only seen.
It's the only, whatever it's
called.
I, on the rear, audio listeners can't see this.
That makes sense, doesn't it?
But Italian cars, when they're being tested,
get like prototype plates that say Prova on it.
And I want so desperately to have to get like
an original Prova, Prova plate,
'cause there's all of the F40s testing have
these have these plates on them.
You see them on press cars a lot of time.
It's so very cool.
Like prototype plates.
But imagine that we had that in the UK,
seeing F-Paces driving around with test
vehicle or, I don't know, what we have in the UK.
Just on test, just having to go in it.
Might make this, might not.
L, it's just T.
It'd be a plate like that.
Yeah, it'd be like an LT plate.
Do you want one?
What's that?
Do you want one?
Was it the, okay?
Do you want one?
How much that then?
No, you can't, only one of you.
Oh, there's only one.
Yeah.
And it's a one-off for the time being.
And they said, but we might make more.
Kind of feels like they're like,
we don't really know.
I feel I'm just going to buy this.
So it's a one-off.
It's, yeah.
Unless you're interested.
It's literally people going,
I don't know.
I'm wearing, I'm wearing this as a joke.
I'm just testing this out.
And someone goes, I like that.
And you go, yeah, no, it's actually my style.
I've produced half a million.
Amazing.
So yeah, I don't know.
I imagine people would want to,
they will be squillion, squillion owners.
Yeah.
That's catch that at the next Monterey.
Yeah.
How much that?
No price was anyone.
I'm going to say surely they're asking up a
hundred thousands, two million plus,
I think.
I'm thinking, yeah, I reckon that's 750.
To a car that's like bespoke chassis.
I guess a new engine, it's yeah.
That's how I described Ben.
A bespoke chassis and a new engine.
Exactly.
I'm not a new engine.
No, an old engine.
Yeah.
Tired knackered old engine.
You're 18 fluid.
You're eight years older than me.
Broken knuckles and ankles.
We'll keep my angrier stuff.
You've been diagnosed.
Thanks, guys.
How long have you got?
Hopefully a while.
No, Creamers in the comments were saying,
Ben, that your spray and ankle could actually
be a scrumbosis or something.
It is very painful.
Any doctors listening?
No, no, none of that.
Go to the doctor then.
It's no longer bruised, but it is still
swollen and it has been for weeks.
We'll get some photos off of the script.
We won't do that.
I actually have some.
The foot person in the comments.
It's so close.
One day.
I'll get them.
37:00 JK's K-Car and Supercar Collection
Welcome here.
Let's have you put in here JK still on bullshit.
JK is a man that we like and we want him on the podcast.
We do.
He's been.
Who is he?
JK is a man who you may know him from the
popular band, Jamira Quai.
He is the frontman of said band and he,
I think it's fair to say
likes cars.
I think that's fair to say.
Always has.
I think that's his.
He, I would say he's you guys.
If you guys could sing, which you can't.
How do you know?
Okay.
I can't.
How do you sing?
Ben, who are the other members of the band?
of Jamira Quai.
You tell me that.
Tell me their names.
I don't know that.
Exactly.
Hold on.
So who do you think it really is?
Swill and I.
That's not true.
I don't know that, but I don't know Jamira
Quai music that well.
I just know where you guys play it.
Okay.
You're true.
But so he's mad into cars and he's been on a
spree of buying cars recently.
But there's been, there's been an interesting one.
Ben, have you seen this?
Because he recently bought, I saw this a Honda S660.
First off, if you're listening,
bad luck.
because look at that pose.
Well, you don't like that?
That is a man who has just bought a K-Car.
But look at this.
But he's the thing, a K-Car so small,
you really have to squat to get down.
No, I respect it.
It's like a look at this.
Yeah, yeah.
But nothing to prove.
So the same man that has been out buying
every Ferrari and Lamborghini on with the sun
has also gone out to Torque GT,
which is a company down, Devon is the bottom
left is Devon.
Yeah, Devon Hall.
Down in Devon, I think, that are the import
cars and the import very cool cars.
and bought an S660 Honda, which is
essentially the successor to the Honda Beat.
Just bought one of those, but not only that,
and do you know what he also did?
Well, at the same time, he sold them a car.
Sold my car.
And do you know what car he sold them?
What's that, Ben?
That's a Suzuki cappuccinos.
He sold the same pose.
He's got the K car squat, which is,
oh, this is a lot shorter than I thought it would be.
So let me get wild on this.
Yeah.
So I didn't know he was into K car stuff.
Neither did I.
Because I know he likes supercars.
like that.
Well, he's got a eccentric taste in cars.
He likes all sorts of them.
But that's it.
I was not expecting him to have a Suzuki cappuccino.
That's kind of the one he doesn't.
It's a good point.
Yeah.
He's now got a strike off of these.
Let's move on.
What is it?
Well, I'm expecting him to have an S660,
perhaps.
No.
Well, what a surprise.
He's got one.
I know he has been recently talking about Japanese cars.
He's bought an S2000.
Dangerous, man.
Careful.
JK.
Thinking NSX as well.
It was, there was, he posted a video on Instagram.
Original one.
I don't know.
Maybe a new one as well.
I don't know.
But he's got a few Japanese cars.
Do you know what?
I like this.
But does he have a Honda Beat?
I think he'll probably get one.
I like this because a lot of people with
money, like this, who are into cars,
they buy a lot of investment cars,
a lot of, a lot of, a variety of Lamborghinis.
But it's a sign of someone who's actually
into cars, who goes out and buys a Honda
Beat, a cappuccino.
Something that isn't actually that good to
own, let's be honest, doesn't drive that well.
He can't really-- How dare you?
We were in your beat and we couldn't keep up
with a mini driving normally on a back ride.
It was, yeah, but it's not like a,
you don't go, if you're getting out of Diablo
and getting into a Honda Beat,
you're gonna-- You think a dog,
like a dog that, like, chase a car,
let's say, or something's faster,
that they don't care.
It's great fun.
It's true.
What I'm saying though, is that it might
become quite underwhelming to get out of a
500 horsepower car into a car.
It's, it's, it's, it's, it's,
it's, it's, it's, it's variation.
Of course, that's my point.
(laughs) Is that, 'cause he's into cars
genuinely has the variation,
whereas if it was someone who's just like,
you know, buying supercars and stuff,
they wouldn't be buying cars.
If they were just buying it for the look of
it, like the, the, the prestige of buying
supercars, you'd be like, I don't care.
Or investment or.
Yeah.
Hey buddy, I think you'll find that the Honda
660 is a sound investment.
If you, it's not, think of me.
If he stops buying all these cappuccinos,
you might be able to get a mortgage.
(laughs) It gets rid of those avocados on toast.
But so, yeah, random, random factoid.
I just thought it was cool.
It broke, bros on that.
I would love to know the full list.
Yeah, I need, I need that.
I don't know why not ever, don't you?
I just don't think, I think,
it's like, is it Chris Harris?
No, I think that's a different person.
I think I read, I think this could be wrong.
Wasn't there a Chris Harris thing where he
said that he doesn't actually want to show
off his entire collection because it's,
he sees it as very personal.
Which I can understand.
Which is why I want to know,
like off camera.
Are you trying to go to his house?
I don't have to.
It was just a text.
All right.
So, this was, I think this was,
I want to say there was one from before,
but there was a, he put a load of cars up in,
he puts them up kind of periodically in bulk,
in auction.
He'll just get rid of a load of them.
And I remember there being one from a while
ago that had a, I want to say it was an
Alpina E36, but I've just found one that was from 2018.
That was a few, a few different cars he was selling.
There was a 675 LT.
Yummers.
There was an 850 CSI.
A E30 M3 Johnny Socotto.
So super rare limited edition.
A bullet Mustang.
A 911 Tiger 4S.
And then the one I really like.
An 850R Volvo.
Wow.
If you can't guess the next thing on this.
But that's my favorite thing is that there's
clearly just some cars where it's like,
oh, it's what we do where we go,
oh, I'd love to have one of those.
That's cool.
Yeah, you would be buying lots of cars.
Also, and I think just jumping on those cars
that enthusiasts want to buy,
you'll get lucky enough that most people will
go, well, I want one of those,
two down the line, and the price goes up.
So he's probably done quite well on it.
No, still, come on, turn up mate.
We are waiting.
No, we will come to you.
Any time today, mate, we will come to you and
we don't have to bring Ben.
No, if that is a, like, if it's,
you know, an absolute deal breaker,
he doesn't have to.
Probably.
I think if anything, Ben might help our course.
I think he would look at the two of us going,
"So what are the door fittings on your E30?
Did they sit in or were they coming out?"
Oh yeah, and I'll go.
Well, you can offer just Ben.
That works too.
Oh, that's nerve racking.
But you can keep him.
Here is our offering.
Then we get a podcast.
Who's gonna make your videos then?
Joe.
J.K.
He's gonna edit.
Yeah, we'll swap him.
And film.
We'll swap him around.
Speaking of editing, let's talk about Joe.
Joe is our editor on main channel.
Hello, Joe.
Not true.
If you don't know, Ben is obviously,
as we just said, is holidaying most of the year.
This was good.
Therefore doesn't have time to edit our videos anymore.
So he's just offload it to someone else.
That is now Joe.
That's not true.
You would have thought.
That may finish this time.
(laughing)
If you would have seen one of the most recent
TV videos, you would have seen Joe in person.
Joe is, we like Joe a lot.
We do like Joe very much.
We went Joe highly in the editor's stakes.
But we have the unfortunate circumstance of
needing to use one of his cars relatively
recently, which is a Jeep.
The one, so the one that we said in the video
that broke, that had to go away.
He was temporarily back using it after it
broke and got fixed, but he needed the daily
to replace that car.
I did.
Because he's given that car to someone.
I think it was a mum or something.
Will and I had to borrow that car.
We needed a car to go down the road.
We were blocked in by a trailer being loaded.
The only thing we could use was his Jeep that
he was being loaded.
We got in that had been, it had a terrible
Chinese head unit in it.
Of course.
But it has one of my favorite pieces of,
what would you call it?
Translation fails.
Or just a bit of text in there that I've seen
in a long time.
So we tried clicking on the button to play
music and we were met with this.
I'd just like for the audio listeners to
please A, read it.
But B, not laugh.
I won't laugh.
It's very easy.
I'll just put it on the screen right here for you.
And here he is.
Have no media file.
Sorry, could you make sure, 'cause there's
punctuation on that.
Have no media file.
Cool, and your option for that is.
(laughs)
Sure.
(laughs)
So the text box just says, (indistinct) Have
no media file exclamation mark.
Only one option you can press.
Sure.
Sure.
It's not, it's not, okay.
Or a tick.
Sure.
Sure.
I don't, it's something about,
sure.
Sure.
As the only box you could do.
I'm only positive about it.
Someone coding that head unit was like,
I want it to feel casual.
Yeah, just, all right.
It just says, yeah.
(laughs)
He says, yeah.
Oh no.
(laughs)
That's right, don't worry.
Okay.
Don't worry about it.
Calm down.
Okay.
But so I thought this might be a great place
for creamers to please submit your favorite
either misspellings, Chinese to English
translations on
cheap products, car products that you've got.
This has to be up there for one of my favorite.
One of, one of the top ones,
I mean, it's not really, it's not a
translation, but it is a Chinese product related thing.
The head unit in the ML is,
Well, I don't know if we have.
I don't think we have, but it's worth it.
It's incredible.
It is, let me describe that head unit.
Intermittent?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, at best.
So it's an Apple CarPlay head unit that
replaces RML's original screen,
but it has, it has CarPlay.
A lot of times the CarPlay just refuses and
will not connect, which means you're left
with the other media formats.
You have radio, which doesn't really work at all now.
Thank God.
46:24 Chinese Head Unit Misadventures
Or you have audio files or video files.
Now, clearly, test this machine,
this function, they preload it with two video files.
Now, one of them, the audio file,
I think is called my beautiful homeland,
which is like a pan flute type song.
It's quite good, it's quite catchy,
but better than that is the video file.
Because if you click source on the side of
the radio, it will scroll through the
options, your orcs, your radio.
It will also play the one video file that's on there.
and it is ear-piercingly loud,
traditional Chinese music, overlaid with a
chef serving a woman various crustaceans.
Yep.
And duck.
And duck.
And duck.
And she's taken a back, I'd say,
by it.
She's not well shot.
She's not my--
It's like corporate level shooting where I'm
very well lit, lots of sliding shots and just
sort of very highly produced,
but this piercing music--
But she's not being cut.
She's not pleased about it, I'd say.
She's intrigued.
She's maybe a little bit surprised by the
whole ordeal going on around--
It's like hers in the car.
But it's too much food for one person.
Yeah, clearly just thinking about the world on this.
Yeah.
You think this is, this is, never gonna get
through all this.
But what it does do is it really shits us up
every time we get to simply click the source
button and just out of note,
Ben has multiple videos of this.
You know what, that'll be one we can post on
the Instagram of the various times the
ear-piercing music has entered the car.
But I love it, I adore it every time I turn
the car on, it happens.
I smile, it feels like home.
It really does.
It's also a fantastic party trick when we
take people out in the car.
It also really makes me want duck.
It is a, you know, they say it's a giant
menu, it's crispy duck.
Crispy duck.
Imagine the crispiest.
That's crispy duck.
Yeah.
That's the crispy duck that all the other
ducks refer to.
That's the photo on the menu.
Exactly.
When you go into the Chinese restaurant.
It is, what?
Ducks refer to.
No, no, the Chinese restaurant.
Right, I can't see it.
I would hazard a guess at the duck car and I'm happy.
It's not.
Is that, ooh, I think it is.
Can you talk about your old Chinese?
20s Northampton, which I listened to on the
podcast, recognized in fact.
Is it still that?
Back in, yeah, it got flooded big time,
it was back.
The Oriental Paradise, so on and so it's
called Northampton, actually the West Chinese Planet.
A big lake.
It's by a big, it's like a man,
they call it an aquedrome.
Oh, sorry.
You know, you go to a restaurant and you can
smell if the kitchen backs onto a particular area.
You can smell the food, right?
Okay.
You don't understand that?
No, what's that?
Yeah, obviously, yeah, it's a root there.
It's quite quite a common experience.
The restaurant, okay, it's a key part of my story though.
Sometimes you walk in a restaurant,
you could smell food in a place.
But not necessarily outside,
you shouldn't have to smell it.
That's true, that's true.
All the time.
Go carry on.
A bunch of toads.
Anyway, next to this restaurant,
on this aquedrome, is lots of ducks.
It feels lots of ducks.
Lots of ducks.
Lots of ducks.
A lot of ducks.
Very geese as well.
Yeah, we'll not be able to say goodbye.
I bet they're mega like cocky about that.
But there's lots of ducks.
I'm safe.
I'm not accusing anyone, I'm not saying
they're plucking ducks from the aquedrome.
'Cause I think they are a different type of
duck altogether.
I just thought it's quite mean.
Yeah.
All the ducks smell, all day,
well not all day, but most of the day in the
evenings, you know, during the week and the
weekends, is just fried duck.
Is it fried with their mate?
It's just crispy duck.
Yeah.
And sometimes they might seem to just tossed
in the bin.
Yeah, 'cause it's just the carcass of duck
with like just bits of flesh hanging up there
and they go, Jesus Christ, are they out?
But that shows that ducks aren't very clever.
Yeah, and I can't remember what we were
talking about before they saw this car before.
Oh, head units.
Yeah, feel free to let us know your favorite
examples of that.
We might read some out and send them into the email.
Ben Rogers, you've got some news to tell us about.
Do I?
You've told me that the roadster might not happen.
Tesla Roadster, I'm assuming.
Whoa!
Well, okay, here we go.
Okay, here we go.
All right, there is a clause in their terms
of conditions which people have found,
which is it's 0.4 delivery.
You understand that Roadster is still in the
development at the time you entered into this
agreement and so we cannot guarantee when
your vehicle will actually be delivered if it
will be delivered.
Oh, basically they're set, but I thought,
okay, can't guarantee when, fair enough,
you've made that very clear over the last 10
years, but if we're gonna make it.
Or if we even have to do it.
So just said, I don't know if you,
I guess maybe it's a legal thing,
but it did feel a bit where it's like,
we can't, we don't know, we'll give it a go.
I get it from like a legal standpoint of
covering your ass, but also at the same time,
you can't just be like, yeah,
we might not do that.
You've now hyped it up for coming up for a decade.
But if it's legal, shouldn't they say,
I don't know this, I don't know much.
Surely you'll be like, we can't guarantee it
will be delivered.
And if that is the case, you'll get a refund.
That feels like, all right, that makes sense.
But just say, well, we might nick money from
you, by the way.
Just halfway down into the terms of conditions.
We might just steal stuff from your house,
we can do that.
Also, I've not read the terms of conditions,
it may say you get a refund,
I'm just saying.
Wow, slumber from Ben.
Not from you, actually.
No, 'cause I'm only working off the base.
I just read the floor of the beta and that is
what it says, we can't guarantee,
but it's not less that they're gonna steal
your money and more that they might just,
decide we're canning it.
It's not, which also implies to me,
it's not that far along in development.
51:35 Tesla Roadster Delivery Clause Concerns
Ben, what do you think, is it happening or is
it not happening?
Well, I think it's happening,
but I just think it's gonna be a road car.
Okay.
I think even the cold thrust of the second
level up, one where you can do like not 16.7
seconds, that's not happening.
Do you know, I think they'll frame it as if
the government stopped us.
Oh, well, Ben.
We wanted to do it, but the big guy,
he said no, he said it's not legal.
Sorry guys, you can't do it,
we've taken your money back.
Yeah, and it's still not a road still.
Yeah, no, it's three tops, isn't it?
What we got next?
There's also Benjamin, more news.
He's there from me.
Two times news is in fact.
Wow.
I'm gonna hit you with him doubly.
Let's do it.
Revuelto SV, New Decal.
Yeah.
And then Manuel Bugatti, but we'll get to
that after the Revuelto SVD.
Wow.
Bit of retention.
Yeah, go on.
The Revuelto SV, which was announced at
Monterey Car Week.
Yep, we were there.
If you don't know about Lamborghini SV cars,
they usually have quite a big decal on this
sort of rear wings, which, or rear arches,
which is a big SV logo.
Now, usually it's just a big graphic.
When they announced a car, they had this
little SV thing on it.
We looked and we thought, that's a small one.
Usually, on the event store,
it's huge.
They've put one on this car.
They've made it.
And they've used the intake on the side of
the car as an S.
Yeah.
Alfa asked pretty cool.
I think it is, but surely it's only on one side.
But didn't you say, why don't you say that
was like a thing they did back in the day?
Well, they always had the big one,
yeah, they were symmetrical because they
were, it's an S, it's a letter,
it's a word.
So they can't be the same on both sides.
Yeah, but surely that event only works on that side.
Yeah, the event will only work on one side,
but I thought it was quite, I thought it was quite.
Oh yeah, what was the other side?
That was pretty smart.
Also, if you do this,
if you don't know, why have I just got a big
V on the side of my car?
Yeah, that's what I take in this picture,
which is, well, also this is a render,
I don't know if it says rendered,
but anyway, that in person it will look different.
But from different angles, whereas a sticker
is a sticker, or a graphic is a graphic,
you can tell what it says.
That one looks, I'll be honest,
Edwin, not criticizing your picture here,
but I am not the best angle.
I'm not criticizing Edwin's render here.
The one I saw was fully on the side,
and it looked pretty cool.
Okay, I'll be honest, Ben, I'm seeing a lot
of people here just saying that these are
fan-made renders.
No, I saw it as a real-life car.
It's not again, man, it's been a while.
Yeah, it was a photo.
Can I get a photo from a launch?
This is, this photo is one that says spec
exploration for the new SV, inspired by the
SC-64 race car, had to make useful larger SV
decal with the S built into the side of the van.
That was on the launch.
The launch car had a sticker on the recorder.
No, yeah, the one that we sort of wait.
Okay, here we go, Ben's getting annoyed now.
I don't wanna be duped again.
You're getting quite animated.
Yeah, I'm really struggling to find this photo,
Ben.
Then I'm just struggling, man.
Oh, what the hell, man?
I saw this, I saw this.
Ben, will you solve the lie?
Have you been fibbed to again?
Is this Volvo back on their square boys again?
That's a real photo that I'm showing you,
okay.
But it's not, I'm trying a full side shot.
Where'd you get that from?
Yeah, car and driver.
Right, let's shut up.
Everyone's shut up.
Everyone's speaking shut up between me.
The interior photos.
Here we go, October 26th.
Yeah, I'll go on there.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah.
Ben, you are absolutely right.
We've got a photo here on exterior photos and
he does have
a photo on the side.
Oh, so I've got a photo here that is--
That's the one I just found.
Not a render.
And then I'm gonna see if I can find a photo
from the other
side.
He does have it.
Oh no, that's weird.
So the other
55:13 Lamborghini Revuelto SV Decal Design Debate
side, so obviously for audio listeners,
you'd have SV on one side, but one side is
with the vent.
But on the other
side, you have VZ.
No, you see that's odd.
You have VZ on it.
Whereas backwards SV or VZ.
Now, back when the Diablo SV came out,
they made a one-off car called the Victoria
Secret in promotion for Victoria Secret that
had the SV flipped.
Ed Bolian has that car now, I believe.
Victoria's secret.
That's the one.
So that's what I mean.
So now you've got a nod to that.
That's why they must have done that on the side.
I don't like it.
I don't like that side because that's just a
V on the side of your car.
But the other side, I think I just prefer the graphic.
There's a small little one.
It's too small.
It looks weird.
It's difficult to explain now.
Yeah.
Because people will do that.
We've recently found out similar things to do
with Ferrari callipers and it really bugged me.
Yeah.
You look at Ferrari.
And it might be a case with other callipers
where they say Ferrari, what I would say is
the right way round on the right side,
I think.
But the other side is just flipped.
Yeah.
Because they don't want to have it the best
the same way.
But it's just wrong.
It looks just not true.
One side looks upside down.
Just totally wrong.
It's just not true.
Also, I'm seeing a side on view on here where
it almost looks like a sideways W.
So that's a normal normal.
I'm fine with that.
I'm okay with that.
It's just a bit small.
Like the event store one was so big.
I think there actually was an option on and
then still to have a smaller one.
There's usually an option on SVs to go big or
small or none.
Also, that's a decal and it costs P's.
I think there's multiple thousands of pounds.
You get less letter.
No, I think you get less letters.
I think the SV, the big one is a,
that's a small one on the SV.
That's horrible.
Smaller than to the SV.
So, you know what?
Just wait.
I bet you they're just saving it for the SVJ
and it's gonna be a whole car.
The whole car will be a, do you know what?
It will be just a letter.
It will be each car will get a letter.
I find two other SVJ owners to complete the decal.
Do you think they'll part next to them?
Do you think they'll do SVJ for Revuelto?
'Cause they're replacing it.
Sure.
Why not?
That's what the new, there's been always spy shots.
Allegedly, that's a new car.
In theory, in theory, it makes too much sense not to.
They sold all of them from doing a special edition.
So, why would you not chuck a little bit more
of a spicy exhaust or something,
you know, a little bit different on it.
It's gonna spit flames.
And then, and then sell that out.
Or they won't call it an SVJ or be like,
Ben, I've got something else.
What's the next, what's it gonna be called?
The Ultimate Edition of the Revuelto?
SV Super Leggierra.
Oh, I see.
Oh my.
Super Velocce Super Leggierra.
Okay, super super Velocce.
What does SV mean?
What does Velocce do super fast?
Yes.
Super fast super.
Super fast super.
Super fast super.
I think it's pretty cool.
I think it's gonna be the have a job.
It's gonna be the UV, the ultra Velocce.
And it will only be seen under certain lights.
It's gonna be all Ben's mattress.
Super Thera, what else has there been old and
Diablo's SE?
We could go back to SE.
As SE.
Special edition, all I found of us were 60.
I found that I've known as recently.
Yeah, right, 1963.
Well, I saw it three years ago.
They would have been 60 years.
So, SE 60.
We've missed anything.
I think we just need a convertible.
Okay.
Well, Roadster.
So that's your next, that's your next.
I think they can't though, but hey,
they said, they said they can't,
but maybe they can.
What we got next?
Ben's got on his other news story.
Bugatti Manual is a video.
I'm not sure where it's from,
but I've seen it.
As a man in a Bugatti tourbillon with
Matterama driving, and he asks him various
questions and he asks him, "Will you ever do a manual?"
Matter of access to him, he says,
he's pretty, he's like, "Yeah,
we'll do that, mate.
Yeah, we'll whack a little slash box in there.
We'll go do it now."
But no, he seemed pretty, he said we have,
he didn't confirm anything, but he said that
would be definitely cards for sure.
It's too much power.
But will it be a...
I wonder if they make a lower,
what do you call it?
A lower power plant.
That's so much power to come out of that.
'Cause what is that car, 18,000,
16,000?
Yeah, it's ridiculous.
Yeah.
I think you'd have to drop a thousand horsepower.
But I wonder if they do like the T33 GMA
thing where they're like, "Here's a little baby one."
Yeah.
Which would be good for what?
Was it then?
Which manufacturer was it?
Ben.
No, no, no, no, this is Bugatti.
They were gonna make a more budget supercar.
Was it Bugatti?
Am I making that up?
There was a--
I don't know if it's a tone executive.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So maybe they'll do the same thing as that.
I mean, they've heard that news and gone,
"We'll make a half million per car."
Yeah, I feel that void.
It's like a hypercar, but it's--
Which obviously, it robs prestige from the
brand, but you'll make money for it.
They will make money from doing it because--
And now they're not part of VW anymore.
Maybe they need to do that to scale.
So it'd be interesting to see interesting times ahead.
I would like to see that.
I also saw, you know, actually,
this is live on the fly news.
I've just remembered in my brain.
I saw an Instagram today over in London today.
Not for a lot of recording floods.
Floods and people screaming.
Probably.
Not true.
No, there was a McCarran thing that's been
left in, I think, Soho.
Okay, it's the Kiwi, Kiwi, Kiwi,
Kiwi.
And it's got MCL 820 on it.
So my think in my brain, I don't know anything.
I'm just thinking of my brain is that it'll
be a 720S or a 750S, sorry.
And 20th of the 8th month.
So that's, you know, close.
Close.
Just missed it.
Yeah, very close.
And that was, what do you think it signifies the 820?
I think it's the 820th anniversary of McLaren.
I think it's been around, are they?
I think it's been around, are they?
Collaborated with Ferrari to make a little
bit more power from their super fast.
Oh, I see.
I think they misread the date in which they
should be just blazing.
Oh, yeah.
Okay, get that on that.
820.
Yeah.
Or they leave it there 'til August and next
year for the reveal.
That's what I'm thinking.
That was interesting 'cause the Kiwis in
there, 'cause they used that on the thingy.
I'm gonna be honest with you.
I've got a photo here.
I'd just like you not to laugh.
Okay.
Because the Kiwi, what Kiwis,
I'm gonna show you the photo,
don't laugh.
I could you describe for the audio listeners
what we're looking at.
Damn!
(laughs)
My client bought me an ACT UP right now.
That is a, that is a chunky Kiwi.
That is a big old Kiwi.
That is a rotund Kiwi.
Well said.
Yeah, a well fed Kiwi.
Kiwi.
Yeah, that is interesting.
So, unless, is that a nod to the 4x4?
'Cause he's a little big.
That's actually a great point.
That's what the 820, that's covered.
820 feels like a somewhat natural successor,
like a 750 or
something, or would it end up,
I can't remember what the maximum was.
But, there was a bigger one.
There was a
last, last, last, last, last,
last, last, last, last, last.
Bloody hell, that was scary.
There was like an 800 or something.
Interesting, we'll see what happens.
Also, it seems that they're using more of
this Kiwi Malachi, because obviously they did
it with the manual.
I like it.
Thing that we never saw at Monterey,
even though it was there.
No, it was there.
It was at the house.
It was revealed while we were at Monterey,
so we never saw it.
So, I'll be interested in where they go with it.
But, I assume there is an SUV coming at some
point, but, I mean, if it keeps my car on
going, it goes.
Yeah, happy.
We have here on the list, I am a creamer on location.
We have had an email from a creamer on location.
Hello.
So, we asked, well, Ben, that's what we're
gonna get to.
Good morning, Mr.
Klinkenburg, Mr.
Chandler and Mr.
Event Rogers.
I'm an Australian creamer, currently on my
honeymoon in Japan with my lovely wife.
Congratulations.
And that's not part of the email,
I said that.
I asked to listen to your most recent episode
on funny places to wear creamer.
I thought it would be perfectly appropriate
to wear my new shirt to our trip to the
famous Diokoku PA car meet in Tokyo,
Japan.
I feel I must be the only person who has worn
creamer here, and I hope my shirt has made it
into hundreds of people's photos.
Here is, please see attached to a photo of
proof with a Honda B, of course.
There were even a few Alfa 159s,
however, no GTDs for Ben unfortunately.
There's a proof of a 159 at what's called
your sincerely creaming Alastair brackets.
No need to remain anonymous.
Good thing you said that at the end.
Well, thanks, Alastair.
I already read the whole thing.
What is the address?
But so now one thing, you can't be the
creamer of the week unfortunately.
Why?
And it has to be that I am a creamer shirt.
However, I think you're an honoree creamer of the week.
That is very cool.
You managed to get the beat in there as well,
which is very good.
So shout out to Alastair.
Shout out your honeymoon in Japan.
Second place, but you lost to no one.
Yeah, exactly.
You lost to yourself.
Wow, Ben, where to put him down?
Is that not true?
But cool, cool.
Cool to see Creemuch out in the wild.
That is always, Karls Rule.shop.
We're going to see if we can get a little
Christmas drop going.
Ben's got an idea for a shirt for him,
which we like, and it's quite funny.
Ben's going to be.
I almost said something.
I think I know what I think.
Go on, let's just say.
Wait, hold on.
I think I know what you're going to say.
It was actually going to be said with some festive joy.
I was about to say, Ben's
1:04:18 Press Pack 550 and Rare Promotional Material
going to be coming down.
I thought he was going to say,
Ben's going to be sitting on Santa's lap.
He will be doing well, but that's just by the pie.
I'm going to grab you.
Go grab me merch.
There will be a new drop soon,
cars are all dot shop.
What's next?
Press pack 550.
This is cool.
I bought something very, is here then?
Can you grab it?
Oh, just get up again, shall I?
Please get underneath the magazines.
I have here my Bruce Phil Assistant,
Ben has brought this to me.
It was next door.
I found something cool on eBay.
I like buying a cutra mom, he might say.
I like racing jackets and just cool,
cool promotional material.
And I was doing looking for three parts
because the 550 needs things.
And I found this.
Now, this might look to you.
I've put audio lessons I will describe.
It might look like a magazine or a brochure,
you may say.
Inside this brochure, if I open the pages,
is just photos of a 550.
And when you get certain pages,
there is lots of information on it,
but like quite nerdy technical stuff.
But at the back, there is a little sleeve.
And that is because this is not a brochure.
This is a press pack.
So back in the '90s, before there was,
you know, internet and the ability for a car
company to just send.
We transfer.
Yeah, we transfer link to a magazine.
They would have to send them out positives or
negatives of photos that have been filmed
photos that mean scanned for them to rescan
in and use in their magazines.
And in the back of it, there are 10 photos,
like these are positive photos.
They're all pretty happy of different Ferrari
550s with like, with underneath shots,
with the top shots, drive line photos of it
out in the world.
That, this is now one of my most prized possessions.
This is so very cool.
So I can now, I could give these positives to
a film shop and have them rescan them big and
have them as opposed to all the resolution in
as big a
resolution as possible.
I love this.
This is the sort of stuff I live and breathe
for, rare, weird stuff on the internet.
Like the cream podcast.
Is this exactly one?
Are there like many of these or was that just
a one off the pop top sale?
I've looked, I've found one that sold like,
four or five years ago, I cannot find another one.
I'm a spindy.
No, this was 40 pounds, which I know is
stupid, it's not much.
But there are no, I can't find any nice high
quality like original promo shots from back
in the day.
Ferrari's press site is not good.
I use it last week, real tough.
And I really like the idea of having a poster
printed out to go behind the car when they're
in like a garage or something.
And there's nothing with a resolution.
But with these now here, I can get something
blown up in nice size.
What's the point?
It's better.
It's not better.
It
just looks cool.
You're gonna put it on the internet
somewhere.
You get a better image out of it.
This
argument has occurred a thousand times.
Here, you do get a better image.
It's cool, but yeah.
Oh God, so I still shoot lots of movies on it.
That's cool because it's of its era,
but taking stuff of it now makes no sense to me.
When it is now so easy to take a photo,
but anyway.
That's for a different podcast.
This argument will go on forever.
Because we're right.
Shall we end with a want of the week?
Because Benjamin Rogers has put in just a few
days ago, one of the week.
What happened was, is I put one of the week
into the podcast chat and then the men in
black appeared and they zapped my brain and I
have actually no recollection of anything it was.
I had a different one.
No, I'd like you to, I don't know.
I've been thinking for the last hour.
I just want, I want you to take a five second
moment of silence.
All the creamers are going to keep quiet in
their cars or wherever they're listening to right now.
And we're just going to lock in for five
seconds and go.
There it is, Ben.
What is your want of the week?
I don't know.
I actually don't know.
It's so annoying as well.
That shows that you're just not feeling it.
I felt it so much the moment and then it just went.
It's a Honda Acti.
That's always there.
Do you remember what like caliber it was?
You want a Dodge caliber?
No, I don't know.
That's crazy.
Like what level it was, was it a superstar?
It was quite big.
I feel like it was big.
I don't know.
I'm going to go just this today,
just for the classic, the V12 vintage.
I want that.
We have been on new case.
We've been on my case in a way I've never experienced.
We've been bullying.
Of course, you know what?
And it's bullying from a place of love
because I've taken a lot of flack from you
off camera and on.
Of when's the 550 going, what are you getting the 550?
Yeah.
And it's happened now.
So now I can turn the gun, not on myself,
not on you.
(laughs)
I just, yeah, it just, I can't,
we actually ran our numbers yesterday and it
can't happen.
Hey, no, we run some pretty good numbers actually.
No, we do.
Oh, I'm sorry, that was not V12.
V12 is not happening.
I'm not gonna say you've missed a boat,
but it's tough.
It's tough times 'cause they're now
exceptionally expensive and it is also the
more expensive car to run as well.
That's what you should.
So I would say, as a friend,
No, no, no, no, no.
Well, quotation marks, friend.
Occasional friend.
That, great.
I would possibly try and leave the V12 for a
little while.
But the danger is, is that they go up a value.
They are going up a date.
They're going up a date.
But where is it?
I think that's actually quite good 'cause if
you've accepted it and you say,
look, maybe one day it will rekindle our
relationship
like me and Jez, you know, that's not Jez.
Me and Jez are from France.
One day our par is made cross again.
Who knows?
But for now, you've got a new flame.
It's a V8 Vantage.
You wanna chase that?
I would like that, but it just doesn't tickle
me in the same way.
But then what does?
We tried to figure out whether there was some
middle ground between where you're at now,
which is obviously the Clio,
and let's say I asked either a V12 or a V8 Vantage.
I think you would quite like a V8 Vantage.
I would like it.
If you bought a nice V8 Vantage that wasn't
an absolute pain in the arse to own,
so buying a relatively nice one,
I mean.
I don't think you'd lose a huge amount of
money on it.
It sounds really cool.
It looks really cool.
You'd be able to do all the little road trips
and car meets and events and stuff in a car
that's very, very cool to look at.
But is there something in the middle of that?
We're saying Cayman.
Yeah.
But that's the response that I don't like.
I don't like that it's a...
I was well up for a V8 Vantage.
I even asked to sit in someone's V8 Vantage
and food and fuel.
Shout out whoever that was.
I liked it, but I liked that.
When we went to SPR and we saw that V12
Vantage in person, it's just since that I'm
like, it's just not him.
I think we need to get you in the oath cars,
do a couple of videos on them and just get
you doing test drives at this stage.
Not that you can necessarily pull the trigger
on them, but let's get you in a V8 first and
then get you in a few moments.
I'm just not in a position to own one.
That's okay, that's okay.
I can't do that.
We need to see if it warms the cockles
because otherwise, it's a futile exercise.
You're working towards something you don't actually want.
I want one.
The 550, when we drove the 550,
Charlie's car on TDC back in the day,
it was affirmation.
I've always wanted one of these.
I drove it and went, I have to have this.
I have to have this.
And similar with the TVR, wasn't expecting to
like it, but drove it and went,
I will be an upset man if I never own one of these.
You may get in the V8 voltage and go,
this isn't really that for me.
In which case, I want to bigger and better a thing.
I just can't do it at the minute.
We had this conversation.
I can't do it at the minute.
They're from putting out my mind.
Whereas these guys don't do that.
You go, I can't do it, but it's in my mind.
But I don't want you to do it.
Because you have to work towards it.
I want you to know that we can do it.
Together, we can do it.
And also, again, like I said before,
we have this unique scenario where we have a
YouTube channel that's about cars.
Some of the bigger problems some people might
have owning those cars are dampened somewhat.
Because we can sort it with a video in it.
We can get parts for free sometimes or for a
discount we can make things happen.
So that's my argument for you.
I still have to buy the car.
It's a big commitment.
And it's still an expensive thing to own and run.
As a famous group, people once said,
"We're all in this together."
No, it's not that.
It's high school music.
Oh, that's beautiful.
Ben, what is your one of the week then?
'Cause we can't give it to you.
An M2.
An M2.
Yeah, that's interesting.
Oh, GM2.
Wow.
Oh, GM2.
Hey, that's doable.
Similar to the Vietnam.
It is.
Of course, of M2, if I had that,
Is it a manual or a DCT?
It's gonna be, well, for me,
I'd
have it as a daily, like a cool daily.
But it would be an
auto, if it's a cool daily, and I think
that's probably where it is better.
Also exceptionally rare to find a manual one.
Now, would you be in blue, white?
Or gray.
I quite like black.
Or black.
Yeah, black.
I like a black car, don't I?
So, hey.
Black M2 OG.
OG.
It's cool.
I think manuals are more easier to combine an
OG, I think.
I think they're really cool.
Still.
I still really like them.
I know that we always get, I don't know,
BMWs.
But they, I feel like an M2 is still a
standout car in recent years of BMW.
My mate's friend has one.
I haven't driven it or been in it,
but it was with us at the ring.
That's just cool.
Looking at them driving on the road,
I
like them.
They have such an angry front end.
It really bothers me that Ben doesn't know
what that one, what he's wanted to do.
Yeah, that's it.
It's low in some times you saw a car today.
Yeah.
And you go, what was it?
What was it?
Well, it was green.
Ben can't even do that.
So you don't know you're one of the week,
mate.
Same to what you said.
You just had one of the week,
but yeah.
But the one I really wanted it down,
that isn't the one it was.
The one I want, I can't remember it.
If I remember it next week, it's not a V8,
obviously it's not an Aston.
It was something I hadn't mentioned before.
Is it real drive?
I don't know any of this.
No, it really does annoy.
It's great.
You were saying it's like when someone says
that here's a car, a sort of car,
and you go, what was it?
They go, "Why is it like a sporty long car?"
And you're like, "Ah!"
It was like green, or was it blue?
Four doors, or was it seven?
It really did.
That would be well a nice torture method.
I tell you anything you want to know in
exchange, in exchange for knowing what the
car was, you saw, but it has to be evidence,
though.
We drove past a car, I would say,
we drove past the car on the side of the road
the other day that had a cool,
well, it was hard to tell what the color was.
And Will and I immediately were like,
"I think it was this color.
"I think it was this paint code."
And Will was like, "No, I think it's this paint code."
And we ran the plate because we're nerds.
No, we were going to lunch.
We missed it, we missed it.
Me and Patrick in the back, starving,
and these two, go turn around the car around,
back down the road, pull over,
look at the car.
To get the plate.
Yeah, then turn around, we go for lunch.
We got a plate wrong.
Yeah, plate was wrong, so it didn't come back
to anything.
Came back, and the shouts and screams and
cheers of relief when you found out what that was.
But then we forgot to run and find out the
information on the car.
So I went home, and then that night I was
genuinely laying in bed going,
oh, I didn't show up.
And then Will gave me the sweet release of
Beth the next day when he said,
oh, I ran that car by the way,
it was this color.
And it was that color that I thought it was,
and I'm so very, do you know,
I can't, I wish I knew an equivalent thing to
compare it to, but the feeling of relief.
So he had socks off at night.
Oh yeah, that's close.
When someone turns a Hoover off.
Yeah, do you know it was, it was that noise
in your head that just quells for a minute.
You go, wow, that's better.
That's a different feeling I've got.
When you, when you got the Hoover going,
fridges, then you turn off your ass back.
When there's just a noise that's been grated
on you, it just goes away.
So when someone's leaf blowing next door.
That's what I mean.
And it stops and you go, oh,
that's better than that.
Yeah.
Now I can sleep.
So yeah, pen, just so you know,
that's what you, you're doing to us.
Well, what's your one on the week then?
I now wish I knew what your,
it will annoy me that I don't know what you want.
If I remember it, I'm next to you.
My one of the week is for you to find out
what your one on the week is.
Please, please spend the next hour in your
car on the way home.
Well, I got serviced at first,
so I might make a home.
Oh yeah, that's true.
My one of the week is I'm, now I'm in,
I'm in just pre, just recent car buying seasons.
So mine is dampened, let's say.
But there's still things there.
I really want to 90s Bentley Continental R.
I think about them, I think about them weekly now.
And I just know it's such a bad idea.
That's one of the cars that for now,
I wouldn't modify.
I just roll around, didn't it?
I don't know why, the show, it's so anti what
I'm about with cars.
It's against basically everything I think is cool.
I just love how they look.
I just think it looks so cool.
I want it.
And the other thing I want to mock on RS.
Mine would also be that.
Mock on RS is just always going to be lingering.
But also, I keep looking at C63 Estates.
And it's annoying because I really cannot.
Also, they're so very expensive now.
I think they are one of a great,
what do you call it, sub 50K investment comp.
A facelift, C63 Estates in a cool color.
Settle color.
They're just so cool.
Because I know there's many C63.
So in theory, that's not IKEA.
I haven't spent the car because there's lots of them.
But it is, you're never getting a 6.2 liter
Vietnam aspirated V8 car like that ever again.
A car of that size.
It's not an E-Class.
It's not an S-Class.
It's a C-Class.
When you think people go mad about the fact
that the M3 of that era had a 4.0 liter V8.
It's a 6.2 liter V8 in that car.
And the state car is because you don't,
there's no real equivalent of that size.
And this is just a Google AI.
4,200 C63 wagons made total
of, yeah, it's a lot, but it's not that bad.
It feels it's
relatively low numbers for a big production car.
Yeah.
But yeah, I just think there's,
it could be wrong.
When you think of the compare,
when you try and think of an,
I also don't think, can you get that
experience elsewhere?
Yeah.
Can you get it in the modern car?
No.
Can you get that RS4 as the other one?
But RS4 is a manual.
It's more of a sort of high revving V8,
not as much torque, whereas the C63 is quite
a unique experience in itself.
And then they now cost the 6.2s.
You want a nice one.
They now cost basically as much as what you
pay for the 4L of one.
And the 4L of one, it will be a better car.
It'll be more modern, it's nicer,
the engine is more efficient,
it's faster, it's more tunable,
all of those things, but it's not the 6.2.
No, it's not, I would love one.
As I like a daily would be a poor choice,
but I would really quite like that.
1:19:00 Wants of the Week: Ben's M2 Desire
I think many C63 507 wagons were made.
There's one for sale, I think,
at the moment.
That's cool.
'Cause that's the SLS internals.
Yes, it's forged.
The pistons and rods or something.
But has the angry bonnet, has a load of cool things.
I think it's cool cars.
They're like double.
Yeah.
I think it's big, big, big, big,
big, big.
But all I want out of that is it to have a
diff, either off the market or to come with
the performance.
They do, it's to come with one stand.
Just then just like, decats,
no, sports cats.
And a wicked MSL tune, some Max and Splitters.
I just think they look amazing,
but yeah.
It's such a shame.
I know that people have made E91,
you know, estate, M3s, but it's
just something they didn't do that as a thing.
I think that would be everyone would be
clambering over each other to buy one of
those right now.
But yeah, that's all my wants.
For this week, that's all.
We'll report back next week.
It's kind of the same as everybody.
most place to wrap up the podcast because Ben
needs to go away and affix his car and be
think about what car he wants.
Think about what he's done.
So that next week, I'm gonna write in the
list right now, Ben, one of the week,
V2.
I'm gonna put two, one, two week,
okay?
What was it?
Well, I saw it in the wig.
Find that out.
Thank you very much for listening to this
episode of The Cream Podcast.
We'll
be back next week, as always,
with 108.
See you soon.
That's not the outro.
Anyway.
Bye.
Bye.
Have a good one.
